The Seven last words also referred as the Seven cries from the cross were the words our Savior spoke

during the last hours of His ministry here on earth.

This is just a short presentation with scripture of those last words spoken. This presentation is available to

Seven Cries from the Cross…

1st Cry


Forgive them…


“Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.Luke 23.43


2nd Cry


Penitent Thief…

But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear G-d, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the

due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

And He said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

3rd Cry

Behold…When Jesus saw His

mother and the disciple whom He loved standing

nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your

mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her

to his own home.John 19.26-27




4th Cry

Eli, Eli…

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all

the land until the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My

God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

5th Cry

I Thirst…

After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said [to fulfill the Scripture], ”I thirst.”

6th Cry


A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth.

When Jesus had received the sour wine,

He said, “It is finished,” ...

John 19.29-30

It is finished…



7th Cry

Into Your Hands…

…while the sun’s light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus calling out with a loud voice, said,

“Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.”Luke 23.45-46
