At the start of the trailer there is a high pitch sound. This is in synch with a close up of a man as he wakes up. There is pleonastic sound of men fighting, this emphasises the sound giving the audience a feeling of how hard they hit. There is a mid shot of the protagonist exploding out of the water. This shows him being immortal. There is an establishing wide shot of the Washington monument allowing the audience to understand the location they are working in. There are stuttered mid shots of a man walking and pleonastic sound of a camera taking picture. The audience can imply that this person is important as there are pictures being taken of him. A close up of a gun proves to the audience the amount of action that will take place in the film. There is a long shot of a man falling to the ground, this implies the danger of the person causing this problem. The hero in the film is shown to be a villain as he is shooting and killing people. There are rapid transitions and close ups of the hero fighting security guards. To build tension there is non diegetic sound, this prepares the audience that a big event is about to happen.

There is action shots with fast transitions. This goes against what the woman said as everything didn’t look okay. There is non diegetic sound of a triangle which sounds like a clock, this repetitive sound makes the audience feel as if there is a time limit until something Is about to happen. The background music silences and then starts again as the action begins. A mid shot showing the group of teenagers looking scared is a shot in the trailer. This shows the audience how they are worried and petrified of the people who are after them. There is an establishing wide shot of the location where the film is set. This shows a broken bridge suggesting they are in a broken world where nothing can be fixed.

There is a high angle two shot of the teenagers, this makes them look vulnerable and weak. There are fast paced transitions during the action shots making it hard for the audience to keep up. The use of costume and props makes it obvious to the audience the wealth of the protagonists and the antagonists. At the end of the trailer there is a mid shot of the main character holding on to one of his friends so they don’t fall, this proves how important he is and shows how he carries the team.

There is a birds eye view of the top of tree’s. The screen is filled with a bright coloured green. This relates to the title of the film as it is called “the green inferno”. There is a long shot of a group of people on a small plane. This shows the people looking happy and joyful. The non diegetic sound is calm and has a slow tempo. There is then a number of close up showing the passengers screaming and looking frightened. The camera is disorientated which makes shows how much discomfort they are in. As the plane crashes the screen goes black and the sound mutes, this allows the audience to think about what has happened during this silence. There is a close up of the girl as she awakes, diegetic sound of a waterfall is heard. This makes the audience feel calm and relaxed however there is suddenly a loud drum instrument and the girl is in trouble.

After this, there is a mid shot of a skeleton, implying that this is a horror. The group are then held hostage as there is a close up of a man behind bars, telling the audience that they are trapped. There are lots of fast paced shots as the action takes place these include close ups of the people looking terrified. As the title appears at the end of the trailer, there is a non diegetic soundtrack which is peaceful but also disturbing.

There is a close up of a boys face looking petrified. This suggests the boy is vulnerable and weak. There is then a longshot of the boy running away from the camera. This shows how scared he is as his running away from the situation. As he is running there is non diegetic sound of ticking, the ticking sounds like a clock. This puts the audience on edge as they think that he needs to be quick. There is a close up of the man’s face, the man has a hat on which is covering parts of his face. This suggests that he is hiding and trying to keep a low profile from someone who is after him. He tries to turn his life around by working in a restaurant, he then gets into some trouble again. There is a mid shot of him practising to fight and then follows rapid transitions of him fighting a group of people. The use of costume shows the audience how his life has changed, the man went from wearing tacky clothes to wearing a suit. There is an establishing wide shot of London which presents the location of the film. A longshot of him walking away from the camera and throwing money behind him to a group of people also shows how everything has changed. Before, everything was about money however now it is different as he shows that money is nothing.

There is non diegetic sound of a ticking noise. As this non diegetic sound is playing there is a close up of a snipers cross hairs locked on to somebody. This implies to the audience that there is only a matter of time before people get killed. The beginning of the trailer is all action. This makes it obvious to the audience that this is an action packed film. An establishing wide shot sets the scene and reveals the location. During the trailer there is titles explaining the story of the film. This gives the audience information about the story of the film.

The trailer uses pleonastic sound of a cars tyres screeching, this exaggerates the action that is taking place. During fight scenes the transitions are fast which builds the tempo for the audience. The trailer uses silence to create suspense in the audience.
