Crime Breaker

Genre – Comedy

This film is about the worlds youngest police man aged 16 tackling the biggest crime of his life – an armed robbery. However being the youngest on the team he gets distracted by things e.g. Women and has to be taught out of these habits of getting distracted in order to succeed in the taking down of the armed robbery.

Set – It will be set in houses and sometimes outside for example if they are on a patrol that will take place in the street.

Film message – The message of this film is that anyone is capable of doing something you just got to believe in them.

Why would the target audience like it/pay to see it? They would like to see/pay to watch it as the target audience is teenagers so it relates to them and also it is not like any other film so far.

Opening sequence

The opening relates to the rest of the film as it should give the audience an idea as to what the film could be based around as they should see that the film is based around policemen.

Does it signify the genre? Yes it does as there will be comedy moments in the opening sequence.

Does it introduce character and setting? Yes it does as you will see the character at the start and where they scene is set.

What happens? In the opening the 16 year old policeman will be walking down the street with a close up of his shoes, gradually moving up his body until it gets to his face. When it gets to his face it will go to a long shot of him walking towards the camera as the camera tracks back. A girl will walk past him and he looks at her as there is a robbery happening in the background. This will show how he gets distracted already. We can then build on this.

What is the style? The style is non naturalism.

What is the mood? The mood is joyful.

How are the titles shown? The titles are shown as when the woman gets robbed in the background her handbag flies open with all her belongings in it. The titles will fly out of her handbag.

Does it demonstrate skills in use of dialogue, continuity principles, sound and light? Dialogue isn’t used much as it will be in slow motion however there will be a song played in the background but I am yet to decide what song yet. Light will be bright.

Target audience

The target audience for this film will be teenagers. I have chosen this target audience as they will understand our comedy better as we are the same age as them so will be easier to address. Another reason I have chosen the target audience to be teenagers as it will be easier to get the message of ‘everyone is capable of doing anything’ across to them as the policeman is a 16 year old boy so will be the similar age as them.
