Film company logos

These are the most famous film production company logos. They often scenery of some sort (e.g. clouds) and an element of focus in the middle (like a lion, a woman, a mountain or a sculpture). They also include movement and graphics. My film logo won’t be as detailed and visually stunning as this because I don’t have the skills to create something so advanced. My logo won’t have movement; it will just be a still image because I don’t have experience in graphic design.

I started to look at some horror film production company logos, because they have an eerie design, which fits the movie’s genre and sets a creepy atmosphere before the film begins. This creates a sense of dread and puts the audience in the right frame of mind, so that the scary parts of the film have a bigger impact.

My logo One of my favorite existing logo is the ‘Lionsgate’ logo above. The letters have a cold, stony effect and are placed in front of a cloudy background. The color scheme is black, grey and blue which are the main colors used in a supernatural horror film. Gory, brutal films usually use a red and black color scheme. Although I also like the simplicity of the ‘New line cinema’ logo, as I think the minimalistic style looks professional and easy to make. Realistically, I need to make something simple because I have limited skills. Name ideas; ‘Nightmare productions’ ‘cinema dread ‘

I like the sound of Nightmare productions. It’s simple and self explanatory.
