The Catcher and the Rye As my fathers favorite book, it was a bonding experience when we read it together the summer before I went to high school.

The Awakening As the first book in my high school English AP class, it was the first book that I went into deep analysis by myself.

The Glass Castle A book about family and loss, it taught me to always appreciate what I have in life.

The Sun Also Rises A book about lost love and having what you cannot, it taught me of true unhappiness in a character.
