Introduction

FileViewPro is a single piece of software that opens all files in a simple and convenient manner. It supports hundreds of different file types enabling PC users to watch any video file, open any Microsoft Office document, and view any image file or even any other file type that looks unfamiliar.

Time and Money Saving

Discovering which program is opening what file can be a daunting and time-consuming task. And when and if you discover which program opens what file, you would still need to purchase those programs to be able to do anything. Unfortunately, most of them cost considerable amounts of money.

For example:

• Adobe Photoshop files (.PSD) are opened with Adobe Photoshop, a program that costs $700 USD

• Office files (.DOC, .XLS, .PPS, .PPT) are opened with Microsoft Office, a suite that costs $300 USD

FileViewPro will save you both your time and money as you will no longer need to purchase separate software program for each of different file types you want to access.

Installation Instructions

Installation process is pretty straightforward. After you run the fileviewpro_setup.exe file, you will see the language selection window.

Choose your desired language and click. ‘OK’. Next, you will be greeted by the FileViwPro Setup Wizard.

Click ‘Next’ to continue, or ‘Cancel’ to abort the setup process.


Accept the End-User License Agreement and click ‘Next’. Now choose a destination folder where you want FileViewPro installed. It is best to leave this option as suggested by the Installer.

Click ‘Next’ to continue.


Leave this option as pre-defined and click ‘Next.

If you want to create a Desktop icon for FileViewPro, check this box and click ‘Next’.

On this final step you will see the summary of all the settings you have selected in the previous steps. If you want any of these changed, click ‘Back’ to change the settings, or click ‘Install’ to complete the installation process.


Congratulations! If you see the following window, you have successfully installed FileViewPro on your system.

‘Launch FileViewPro’ is selected by default and when you click the ‘Finish’ button, the program will start automatically. If you don’t want to launch the program at this moment, uncheck the box.


Registering FileViewPro

When you launch FileViewPro for the first time, you will see a user interface with a warning that you are using a Demo version of the software and that you need to register it to unlock all the program’s functions.

By clicking on the ‘Register’ button in the upper right corner, you will be prompted to enter the activation key:


When you enter the activation key which you received with your purchase, you will be able to click the ‘Activate’ button.

Clicking on ‘Activate’ button will prompt another small window, informing you of successful Registration:

Now you can start using FileViewPro without any limitations!

Uninstaling FileViewPro

If you ever choose to uninstall FileViewPro, you can do it in two easy ways.

1. Go to Start> Control Panel > Programs and Features Locate FileViewPro among listed programs, right-click it and choose ‘Uninstal’.

2. Alternatively, you can go to the program’s installation folder Local Disk (C)> Program Files > FileViewPro Locate the file unins000.exe. Clicking on this file will uninstall FileViewPro from your system.


Working with Files

FileViewPro has a simple user interface. You can see what is in the file once you drag it into the program’s window. Alternatively, you may click on the icon ‘Open’ in the top left corner to browse for the desired file and open it from there.

Great advantage of FileViewPro lies in the fact that not only you can view various file types, but also manipulate and edit them.

You can display several types of content in smooth changing, multiple tabs, having each file opened in a separate tab.


Depending on the type of the file opened, you will gain access to different additional functions, needed for that specific file-type manipulation.

All files, regardless of their type, share the functions to Save the file, Find, Print, Zoom, Send it to selected mail recipients, to Compress it and to Share (upload) it on Facebook.

To be able to send the file by mail, you will need to fill in the Mail settings.

Click on Tools > Mail settings .

Your mail provider will provide you the specific SMTP details. After filling in these fields, you will be able to use the ‘Send’ function.

Other specific functions are ‘unlocked’ as different file types are opened, so we will discuss each of them separately.


Working with Video Files

With FileViewPro, you will be able to open vast majority of video files out there - .avi, .mpg, .flv, .wmv and many others.

When you start the video file, you will gain access to the following buttons:

- Closes an opened video file.

- Replays a video file from the beginning.

- This option enables you to save a video file under different name.

- This button prompts a ‘Compose mail’ window with a video file in the attachment.


You will be able to add a desired e-mail recipient, subject of your message, actual message and the attachment.

-This button will prompt a dialog box that will enable you to put a file in the .zip archive format and thus save on disk space usage.


- By clicking on this button, you will be able to upload a file to Facebook, but first, you will need to fill in your Facebook login details:

Also, you will need to allow FileViewPro to post on Facebook as you.


The program will then connect with Facebook and start uploading a video file.

After the upload is complete, you will find the file in the designated Facebook album/folder.


Working with Audio Files

Playing audio files with FileViewPro enables the same set of options like video files. Supported audio extensions are .MP3, .WAV, .M4A, .FLAC and many more.

-Closes an opened audio file.

- Replays an audio file from the beginning.

- This option enables you to save an audio file under different name.

- This button prompts a ‘Compose mail’ window with an audio file in the attachment.


- This button will prompt a dialog box that enables you to put a file in the .zip archive format and thus save on disk space usage.

- Clicking on ‘Share’ enables you to upload a file to Facebook.

Working with Image Files

Opening an image file with FileViewPro unlocks a new set of functions for manipulation with your image file. FileViewPro supports a great number of image file types, such as .JPG, .GIF, .PSD, .RAW, .PNG, etc.

- Reloads an image file, showing the last saved position. - Saves any changes made to an image file

- This option enables you to save an image file under different name.

- Brings Print selection window, where you can select a printer and number of image copies you want printed. -Zooms in an image file. - -Zooms out an image file

- Cancels any Zooming effects on an image file

- This button prompts a ‘Compose mail’ window with an image file in the attachment.


- Clicking on ‘Share’ enables you to upload a file to Facebook

You will also gain access to several image-manipulation functions:


Rotate Right 90° - This option will rotate your image for 90° to the right side

Rotate Right 90° - This option will rotate your image for 90° to the left side

Resize – This will enable you to change an image size to new height and/or width values.

Crop – This option enables you to cut out or trim unneeded portions of an opened image file.


Working with Archive Files

Opening an archive file with FileViewPro will unlock a number of archive-specific options and functions, which will enable you to optimally manipulate with your archive files. Supported archive types are .ZIP, .RAR, .GZIP and many more.

By clicking on the ‘Browse’ button, you can choose a destination folder where you want to extract your archive file. After you have selected the desired folder, clicking at the ‘Extract’ button will release the content of the archive in designated folder.

You will also see a familiar set of icons on the task bar.

Working with Documents

You can use FileViewPro to open and edit a great number of document files - .DOC, .DOCX, .RTF, .TXT, etc.

When you open a document, at the top you will see a classic toolbar for document editing with a standard set of formatting options.

- Change the Font face

- Change the Font size - Change the Font color - Make text look like it was marked with a highlighter pen.


- Bold, Italic, Underline or Strikethrough the selected text.

- Clear all the formatting from the selection, leaving only plain text.

- Align Left, Center, Right or Justify the selected text area.

- Decrease or Increase the indent level of the paragraph.

- Start a Bulleted or Numbered list.

- Create a Bookmark, to assign a name to a specific point in a document.

- Create a Link to a website, picture, program or an e-mail address.

- Insert a Picture from a file.

- Edit Header or Footer of a document.

- Undo or Redo the last action.

- Export the document to PDF.

Opening a document file will also unlock several new buttons on the task bar:

-This Button will get you at the very beginning of your document.

- This Button will bring you to the Previous page of your document.

- This Button will bring you to the Next page of your document.

- This Button will bring you to the Next page of your document.

1131 - Prompts you to enter a search string to find a specific part of your document.


Working with Office Files

FileViewPro lets you open any Office file, be it an Excell worksheet or a PowerPoint presentation.

You will work with familiar set of buttons

-Closes an opened Office file.

- Reloads a file.

- This option enables you to save a file under different name.



- This button prompts a ‘Compose mail’ window with the file in the attachment.

- This button will prompt a dialog box that enables you to put the file in the .zip archive format and thus save on disk space usage.

Working with Internet files

Opening Internet files (.HTML, .PHP, .JS, etc.) in FileViewPro enables you to have a parallel view of the code and the final visual output (in case of .html files).


By clicking on the ‘Edit’ tab, you will be able to perform direct modifications in the code.

You will also have a standard set of FileViewPro buttons/functions to work with:

- Reloads a file, showing the last saved position. - Saves any changes made to a file




- This button prompts a ‘Compose mail’ window with a file in the attachment.


Other File Types

Working with CSV – Comma Delimited files You can easily open and manipulate .CSV file types with FileViewPro.

You will be able to directly edit a .CSV file, save your work, print it, send by e-mail or add it to an archive file.


Working with .PDF Files

Adobe Portable Document Format file type is very popular and is an open standard for document exchange. It represents documents in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems.

Apart from the standard set of functions, opening a .PDF file with FileViewPro will enable you to export all textual parts of a document in a separate, .TXT file, and to export all image files found within a document in a separate folder.


Working with .DLL - Dynamic Link Library files

FileViewPro allows you to open and inspect all types of DLL file extensions used by Microsoft Windows. A dynamic-link library (aka. DLL) is an executable file that serves as a shared library of functions, that is, to facilitate the sharing of data and resources.

You have a standard set of options – to reload a file, save it under different name, to locate a certain query within a file, to send it to a mail recipient and to add it to an Archive.


Working with .XML - Extensible Markup Language files

FileViewPro provides a simple intuitive user interface for browsing and editing .XML documents.

You have a standard set of options to work with the file:

-Closes an opened .xml file.

- Reloads a file, showing the last saved position. - Saves any changes made to a file.




- Zooms in a file. - Zooms out a file.

- Cancels any Zooming effects on a file.

- This button prompts a ‘Compose mail’ window with an .xml file in the attachment.
