What does wearing the “C-Paw” mean to you?“The University of Cincinnati is the perfect combination of real-world academics, excellence in athletics, and a strong sense of community engagement. Also, being a finance major and having professors who have industry experience has created a more ecient classroom-learning experience for me.”

How does the support of UCATS impact you personally?
“The support of UCATS gives me the ability to get a great education, grow as a person, and play the sport I love without having to worry about my financial state. UCATS also shows the continual commitment of donors to support our student-athletes. It is a blessing to have such generous people helping us to play the sports we love.” Sydney Goins

How do you feel most supported by UC?“The people here are always willing to lend a hand anywhere. The academic sta and coaches refuse to let their student-athletes fail. The support shown is truly amazing and help confirm that I know I made the right decision to come play here.”
Malik Vann“The best part of being a student-athlete at UC is the ability to be a role model to the kids in the city. Being able to represent my hometown is particularlyspecial to me.”
WHAT THE STUDENT-ATHLETES SAY?CINCINNATI ATHLETICS
How do you feel most supported by UC?“I feel supported by UC in many ways but two stand out to me. One is the way my coaching sta dedicates a big part of their life to the team. Of course it’s their job to be our coaches but it extends beyond that. All of our coaches would do anything for our team and put a lot of their personal time into our develop-ment as young men and players. Also, the support all athletes receive from the entire athletic department is amazing. They give us every tool and resource necessary to be successful here at UC and in our lives after UC.”

Why did you choose Cincinnati?
“I chose Cincinnati because after taking my visit, it just felt right. I hate saying it was a ‘gut feeling’ but the sense of belonging was overwhelming. I also grew up in Cincinnati and lived here my whole life watching the Bearcats on TV and now being one, I can say I made the right choice.”
