Oct. 11, 2015 from 8am to 5pm 8:00am - 8:30: Gather at the University of Danang. 8:30 - 9:15: Meet bus outside coffee shop by UD Resource Center - board bus - to VH 9:15 - 11:30: Discussion (drink/ snack-break in middle is optional) 1) Introduction (about UD, SU, TEG, MBA program- operations & quality management -luxury hotels/resorts) 2) VH Hotel GM/ guest speaker introduction of hotel operations 3) MBA Students’ Discussion & Presentation of Ops Mgmt / TQM / CQI Consulting Project: - Operations Management (Ops Mgmt) - Total Quality Management (TQM) - Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) - Total Service Management. - Case study and references’ review of “anticipation of interests to stimulate memories and stories” parking, smiles, photos, technology, online reservations with credit card info and programmable room door pass codes removing need to check-in/out (unless airport pickup, etc), food, facilities, body language, & staff vs “ladies & gentlemen serving ladies & gentlemen” of equal status to customers. 4) Question & Answer then presentation of preliminary concepts of the MBA Consulting Report (final report to be modified and presented later) 11:30 – 12:00: Tour of Victoria Hoi An Resort with Resort staff (identifying details of & methods to control quality and service management) 12:00 - 2:00pm: Lunch on own 2:00pm - 5:00: Study tours to 5 other resorts with the Resort staffs (about 30 minutes each place): 2:00 – 2:30: 1) Ha An Resort.
