Conclusions l Efficacy of WideStrike cotton against Heliothines in 2006 similar to results. l Varieties containing WideStrike provided control of Heliothis (primarily bollworm) that were statistically similar. - Boll damage exceeded 5% at four of 23 locations, all under heavy BW pressure. - Under high insect occurrence, a few locations exceeded insect threshold levels of feeding damage or larval infestation in Widestrike cotton treatment necessary to prevent losses from bollworm. Conclusions l Varieties containing WideStrike provided control of secondary lepidopteran pests that were statistically similar. l WideStrike effectively protected against yield loss. Numerical and even statistic differences did occur among WideStrike varieties in one location.
