    1. FeaturesFieldMate is available in a and an version with differentiated features provided.FieldMate Basic is used for the field device setting and adjustment, which must be connected for all activities.FieldMate Advance adds off line database function for up to 300 devices which maintains a complete record for all device configuration and maintenance activities. FieldMate is a PC based configuration tool that per-forms numerous tasks, including initial setup, daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration back-up for device replacement. These tasks are stream-lined by FieldMates intuitive operation and integrated environment, which is independent from communica-tion protocols and device vendors.FieldMate incorporates the open FDT/DTM standard and is compliant with DTMs per the FDT 1.2/2 stand-ard. FieldMate supports by Built-in DTM interpreting the existing Device Description (DD) instaneously, for other vendor's devices that do not have DTMs available.* FDT: (Field Device Tool) is a frame application that standardsizes the communication and configuration interface between all field devices and host systems.

    * DTM: (Device Type Manager) is the application which defines the Graphical User Interface (GUI) specific to the device.

The FDT frame is an integral part of FieldMate. Many DTMs are included with the FieldMate application, and additional DTMs are available from most field device vendors.

GENERALPlant Resource Manager (PRM) is an asset management software tool for the digital network era. The PRM software manages field devices and maintenance work efficiently, and help reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) in an industrial plant. These packages support intelligent devices such as FOUNDATION fieldbus, HART, PROFIBUS, and ISA100 field wireless devices as well as conventional analog devices.

PRODUCT OVERVIEWPlant Resource Manager (PRM) consists of the following components:

PRM Server Collects and stores maintenance related data such as device parameters, device alarms, and inspection memo in

the field. Generates and manages centralized device information such as device lists, inspection schedules and records,

user-created electronic documents, and parts lists. Generates maintenance alarms for field device maintenance with action guidance information (problem, cause, and

action) and notifies these alarms to the people who need them.

PRM Client Provides device navigator windows in hierarchy tree view for monitoring and managing devices in a user-friendly

Windows-based operating environment. Performs automatic device recognition and registration (plug & play) by using full digital, bi-directional, field digital

networks such as FOUNDATION fieldbus, HART, PROFIBUS, and ISA100.11a. Monitors device health status with maintenance alarms and communication errors. With PRM Advanced Diagnostic Function, PRM also performs device status diagnosis, device parameter setting using device diagnostic tools (i.e. DeviceViewer, DTM Works, DD menu).

Displays status icons reflecting the communication and device status to let operators grasp the device status intuitively. A confirmation status icon appears for the devices with unacknowledged maintenance alarms (of the device health status).

Device icons to be displayed on the device navigator can freely be defined by a user. The user can customize those fonts and icons depending on the user requirements and the screen size.

Maintenance marks are a kind of flags to be assigned to devices for setting and checking maintenance status. The maintenance mark icon is displayed upon setting, and enables to temporarily change device access level. The maintenance marks can also be linked with CENTUMs operation marks so that the maintenance engineers and operators can share the same information and coordinate their work.

Performs online device adjustment/setting on screen using the same user interface with FieldMate versatile device management tool which is an on-site device adjustment/setting tool.

Possible to exchange parameters and maintenance information between PRM and FieldMate. Provides PRM advanced diagnosis application, device diagnosis data historian, and general-purpose diagnosis

tool for PRM advanced diagnosis function, in addition to the maintenance alarm function and device diagnostics function.

Allows registering conventional analog field devices as well as field digital devices such as FOUNDATION fieldbus, HART, PROFIBUS, and ISA100.11a, for a true, centralized device management.

Implements third-party calibration and diagnostic software tools as PLUG-IN applications. DeviceViewer (*1) and PLUG-IN ValveNavi are available from Yokogawa brand.

Supports FDT/DTM (Field Device Tool/Device Type Manager) and EDDL (Electronic Device Description Language) technologies that enable PRM interfacing with field devices.

*1: DeviceViewer is a PLUG-IN application of the PRM Client for self-diagnosis of field digital devices such as FOUNDATION fieldbus and HART. Download device definition files from each device vendor to run on the DeviceViewer prior to its use. DeviceViewer can be displayed on CENTUM VP/CS 3000 (R3.07 or later) HIS with operation and monitoring functions.

Field Communications ServerThis is a server to set and acquire field device data online. It implements data exchange between the field devices and the PRM Client or the PRM Server. Those data are distributed among maintenance support applications such as device status monitoring, device parameter tuning, and device diagnostics. PRM supports various types of field communication protocols (FONDATION fieldbus, HART, PROFIBUS, and ISA100.11a) and the following system configuration types are available.

Supported hardware FOUNDATION fieldbus Communication Modules for CENTUM VP/CS 3000 AI/AO modules with HART communication for CENTUM VP/CS 3000 PROFIBUS Communication Module for CENTUM VP/CS 3000 FOUNDATION fieldbus Communication Modules for STARDOM AI/AO modules with HART communication for STARDOM PROFIBUS Communication Module for STARDOM AI/AO modules with HART communication for ProSafe-RS NI-FBUS card 3rd party HART multiplexers (Pepper and Fuchs, MTL, ELCON, and STAHL) 3rd party PROFIBUS communication devices (CommunicationDTM/GatewayDTM communications) Field Wireless Access Point and Field Wireless Management Station (CommunicationDTM/GatewayDTM

    communications)

Multiple Server SwitchoverPRM manages CENTUM VP/CS 3000, ProSafe-RS, or STARDOM projects. It also provides an integrated monitoring for a large-scale project which is geographically distributed in remote locations. In case for the large-scale project where tens of thousands of field devices are installed, it is necessary to divide them into multiple numbers of PRM Servers. PRMs Multiple Server Function enables to select which PRM Server the PRM Client refers to. In this way, a single PRM Client is able to monitor several PRM Servers.

PRM Advanced Diagnosis Server Function (optional)This sever function provides an environment for executing diagnostic algorithms by utilizing field device parameters. The diagnostic algorithm application can be configured by using the PRM Advanced Diagnostic Software Development Kit (PAA-Development Kit) without any additional software program. By monitoring parameters and process data transmitted from field devices, the PRM Advanced Diagnosis Server Function configures and executes diagnosis of the devices and assets. For details of the PRM Advanced Diagnosis Server Function, refer to general specifications of SSS7740 PRM Advanced Diagnosis Server (GS 33Y05Q21-32E).

PST Scheduler Package (optional)PST(*1) stands for a partial stroke test. The PST Scheduler schedules PST, automatically executes PST in accordance with the schedule, and manages the results in unified manners. It is possible to modify the planned schedules and switch PST execution from automatic to manual. For details of the PST Scheduler Package, refer to general specifications of SSS7780 PST Scheduler Package (GS 33Y05Q23-32E).

*1: By slightly operating emergency shutdown (ESD) valves online which are not activated under normal conditions, PST is to check if ESD valves function correctly in case of emergency. By using PST, the interval period between full stroke tests can be prolonged without disturbing the safety of the ESD valves, thus the maintenance cost for those ESD valves can be reduced.

Interface for Computerized Maintenance Management System (optional)PRM has an interface with Maximo, a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), from IBM Software, Inc. It enables PRM to provide maintenance information to the maintenance management system online. For details of the CMMS interface, refer to general specifications of SSS7730 Interface for CMMS (GS 33Y05Q20-32E).

Interface for GE Energys System 1 (optional)PRM is able to provide a single monitoring window for diagnosis of turbines, rotating equipment and reciprocating equipment under management by GE Energys System 1 Optimization and Diagnostics Software Platform in addition to field devices such as pressure transmitters and flowmeters. For details of System 1 integration, refer to general specifications of SSS7770 Interface for GE Energy System 1 (GS 33Y05Q22-32E).

Device NavigatorProvides four different views - plant view, network view, class view, and custom view. Each view displays devices in a plant in the form of a plant hierarchy tree view, in the Windows explorer-like format. In these views, device status is shown with icons utilizing the maintenance alarm function so that operators are able to judge the status of the devices at a glance. Where there are devices with unacknowledged maintenance alarms, unacknowledged alarm icons are displayed.User access can be restricted based on the device navigator hierarchy, which prevents unauthorized personnel from operating devices by mistake.

Plant viewDisplays devices and equipment modules in the plant in hierarchy tree view according to the actual structure of the plant, or plant layer. Not-in-use devices can be allocated either to the Spare folder for spares and failed or in-service devices to the Out Of Service folder.

Network viewDisplays the network hierarchy of devices connected to the field network in the tree view form.

Class viewArranges devices in a tree view by vendors, models, and revisions. Users can identify the status of how spare devices are used while devices-in-use are failed or under maintenance. Device templates can be created using this function.

Custom viewUser-created views can be created and displayed in the hierarchical structure. Devices can be categorized by the persons in charge of maintenance, by inspection or replacement schedule, operation or failure status, and so on.

Maintenance Mark Assign maintenance mark to each device electronically to let maintenance engineers identify the status of a device. Enabled to link it with CENTUMs operation marks so that maintenance engineers and operators can share the same information and coordinate their work.

Maintenance Alarm FunctionThis is a message system to notify maintenance information and guidance messages. It broadcasts information necessary for device maintenance to all the maintenance engineers. The information contains not only messages generated by the devices, but also attributes such as message information, phenomenon, causes, and actions. Alarms generated by diagnostic functions can also be delivered to the users.

Message acquisitionAcquires messages from field digital devices as well as event messages generated by CENTUM, STARDOM ProSafe-RS, and third-party systems. User-defined information such as event priorities, objective information, phenomenon, causes, and actions are automatically added to the original event messages. These are acknowledged as maintenance alarms, and passed on to the filtering function.

Device patrolAcquires field device status provided by devices self-diagnostics and generates maintenance alarms with the user-defined attributes such as message priorities, objective information, phenomenon, causes, and actions. These maintenance alarms are handed over to the filtering function. Data acquisition is done periodically or on demand. It also collects information from devices which do not generate alarm messages by themselves.

Filtering functionAll the alarms generated by message acquisition, device patrol, advanced diagnostic application, and manually-entered messages are filtered and the results can be notified by each users.

Maintenance Information ManagementPRM acts as the central database for device maintenance information.

Device masterGenerates and manages a list of devices with all the relevant information. Users can display the list of all the devices or detailed information of the individual device. As for devices with field communication function, it is added to the device list automatically by plug & play upon recognition of the devices.

Inspection memoIncludes details of inspection, maintenance, or servicing tasks performed on a device or at a plant. Comments and remarks by maintenance engineers during servicing or maintenance can also be included as the service logs.

Inspection scheduleManages schedule information such as inspection, adjustment, and calibrations by each device.

Parts listContains components and attribute information of parts that compose of a device. As for Yokogawa field devices with digital network communication function, dedicated templates are provided.

Document linksManages device related documents such as plant structures (e.g. P & ID and control drawings), component spare parts list, online instruction manuals, and device images and enables users to access them by the device tag name as keys. These documents can be stored in a document server on an Ethernet and accessed by URL addresses.

Audit Trail ManagementManages and displays historical records of PRM operations, inspection records, and event information generated by the maintenance alarm function on the PRM client. These historical records can be shown by chronological orders, device priority, or message priority. With filtering function, the records can be displayed by the device IDs or device tag names.

Adjustment and Diagnostic FunctionsSupports devices adjustment and diagnostic functions online.

Parameter tuning and comparisonSets and displays device parameter online. With this function, PRM compares the saved and the actual parameters. The parameter set values are saved as logs. The device data can be uploaded and stored to the database at any time. PRM also supports one-time uploading of all the connected devices.

Tools For FOUNDATION fieldbus communication It switches to DeviceViewer, DD menu, DTM Works,

    and PRM Advanced Diagnostic Function.

DD menu: Using DD files provided by vendors, PRM implements device diagnostics and parameter tuning and setting, and calibrations. The specifications of the DD files are different by the field devices.

DeviceViewer: A PLUG-IN application to display device self-diagnostic results. Most of the field devices hold self-diagnostic results as the vendor-specific parameters. DeviceViewer reads those self-diagnostic results and displays them in user-friendly ways. It also displays device information that is usually displayed on the LCD of the devices. This function enables users to remotely monitor the devices connected to PRM without viewing the local LCDs.

For HART communication It switches to DeviceViewer, DTM Works, and PRM

    Advanced Diagnostic Function.

DeviceViewer: Supports HART devices. Displays device status based on the self-diagnosis and setting status of the HART devices.

Calibration data managementPRM database manages and maintains device calibration data.Calibration results, differences, and judgment (pass or fail) are registered to the database and displays them on a PRM client. The calibration data approval function allows only the authorized person to modify the calibration data once it is approved. The modification of the calibration data is recorded as an operation history by the historical operation management function. When a documenting calibrator is used, the calibration data can be upload/download via communication. The calibration results are automatically saved into the database. The documenting calibrator connection is provided as optional.

The FVX110 is a field indicator that allows you to switch and display up to 16 indicated values for FOUNDATIONTM fieldbus devices. Turn the scroll knob on the case to switch displays. No complex operation is needed in the field and you can observe the indicated values easily. An LCD display with LED backlight and a variety of displays has increased user-friendliness and visibility. The FVX110 offers as standard not only the functions of a field indicator, but also PID function block, Link master, and software download functions.

    FEATURES Interoperability

Field instruments that comply with the FOUNDATION fieldbus specifications are fully interoperable; no longer is there a need for custom designed software to communicate with other devices.

    Upto16processvariablescanbeswitchedanddisplayed

Up to 16 process variables from multiple field instruments can be displayed, significantly reducing instrumentation costs. Furthermore, support of the FOUNDATION fieldbus digital communications protocol enables the display of signal data from third-party fieldbus compliant field devices.

FulldotmatrixLCDwithbacklightThe backlit full dot-matrix LCD clearly displays text and graphics such as bar graphs, a scroll bar, and icons that indicate the page turning direction and scroll knob turning direction.

LinkmasterfunctionThe FVX110 supports a link master function that enables backup of network management and allows local control using field devices.

FunctionblocksTo facilitate device diagnostics, two functions blocks each are provided for the multiple analog output (MAO), arithmetic (AR), and input selector (IS), and a single function block is provided for the following: signal characterizer (SC), integrator (IT), and PID.
