FICAG Capoeira Camp 2013

Ustrzyki Dolne

When?

• We arrive at the place on August 11th (on our own)

• The camp officially ends on August 18th

• As some people are going to join us on the 15th (because of a Polish holiday) there is also a possibility of coming for only four days (15/8 – 18/8)

Where?• We will be staying at a holiday resort called

„Magdalena” (http://www.magda.noclegi-pl.com) in Ustrzyki Dolne, located very close to the town’s market, right next to an Aquapark called „Delfin”

• The resort is able to accomodate up to 50 people (the rooms are two-, three-, four- and five-person)

• The trainings are still going to take place at the school’s gym, which is very close

• The resort is a survival facility, which means that it offers a lot of leisure activities like rock-climbing, ASG and many others

What?

Practically every day of the camp is going to feature 2 trainings at which we will be

focusing on things like:

•Capoeira (Regional and Banguela)

•Acrobatics•Music•Maculelê

Capoeira

• Kicking practice on pads• Dynamics practice in rows• Various combinations practice in pairs• Trainings divided by gender and

experience• Circuit trainings• Dedicated rodas• The tournament (Campeonato)• Theoretical lectures

Acrobatics

• Close-to-the-ground acrobatic techniques practice

• In-the-air acrobatic technique practice (using the padding)

Music

• Playing Berimbau, Atabaque and Pandeiro practice

• Singing while playing the instrument practice

• Sense of rhythm practice• Learning the songs (Regional,

Banguela and Maculelê)• Solo singing in the roda practice

Maculelê

•Playing the instruments practice

•Exercises in pairs and in rows•Creating the choreography

What else?

• General integration (both during days and nights)

• Trips around local tourist routes• The proximity of an aquapark,

which features a swimming pool and a sauna

• The possibility of going to the Solina lake for the beach or for kayaking

How much?

The overall price of the camp will be stated later, but should be somewhere around 500zł (~125€). The price includes:

• The accomodation• The food (3 meals everyday)• Trainings• The all-day access to the gym• An event-related t-shirt• A group-related wrist band• The party at the end of the camp

Payment• The pre-payment of 200 zł (~50€) per person
