    Fibs looks at a greasy kitchen with disdain, mop in hand.

    A half-dozen convicts are scrubbing the kitchen as Fibs skimsan E-reader while sipping a drink through a straw.

    FIBS (V.O.)And turn it into a works programthat employed a dozen inmates.

    He looks at the straw curiously. Wheels turn.

    INT. PRISON COMMISSARY - DAY

    Fibs has modified the straw into a lock pick. He picks the

    lock on the front door and sets up shop.

    FIBS (V.O.)I found a program that supplied low-cost essentials to needy prisoners.

    He moves up to an exchange window and hands off a pair offlip flops marked ten dollars in exchange for a five.

    INT. PRISON CLASSROOM - DAY

    A teacher watches as cons put their tests face down on his

    desk. When Fibs reaches him he puts a file down instead.

    FIBS (V.O.)And I get my degrees. Legitimately.

    The teacher opens the file to reveal stacks of small bills.He takes Fibs name off one test and puts it on another.

    The elevator opens. Camille and a fitted suit wearing Fibsexit. Hes wearing sunglasses and has BAG OF BELONGINGS.

    CAMILLEThis is where clients wait.

    Fibs looks around at the dregs of humanity and theirfamilies. They are unkempt and look helpless.

    FIBSI revoke the deal and would like togo back to prison, please.

    CAMILLEYoull adjust, come on, Ill showyou to your--

    Camille turns and sees Fibs kneeling in front of a child. Shestops and examines. Has she misjudged him.

    FIBS(to child)

    The child nods. Out of Camilles vision Fibs lifts a pink andstudded cellphone off his mother.

    FIBS (CONTD)

    Liar.(rises, to Camille)Sorry, what was that?

    CAMILLEI was just going to introduce youto your boss...

    FIBS AND TOMS OFFICE

    TOM MILLS [20s, naive, dog-like] is twirls a pen in hisfingers ineptly. Then he drops it. Then he cant find it.

    FIBS(to Camille)

    Tom hits his head on the desk but beams when coming up.

    HUGH [50s, fat, Black, joyous] sits behind a desk with ancaring facial expression. His CLIENT has an open checkbook.

    But dont lawyers work on, how yousay, consignment?

    HUGHBut those lawyers turn around andtake 30, 40%. Thats thirty toforty THOUSAND dollars. As opposedto JUST one.

    The phone rings, Hugh answers it with a working here tone.

    EVIE WALSH [30s, girl next door, fox-smart] races in andimmediately matches Hughs joy and energy. Hugh snaps hisfingers at Client and Evie yanks her from the chair andshoves her out the door, slamming it on her confused face.

    The WOMAN Fibs stole the phone from earlier is looking forit. Fibs spins as he talks to keep it out of her sight.

    The woman turns and hell breaks loose as Fibs leaves.

    Hugh hangs up and rises, getting his jacket.

    TOMDatabase for criminals. To makesure that you can find a good fitfor a job, or make sure your clientis telling you the truth.

    Oh my gods and is he alright circulate until Fibs holdsup a palm to the growing crowd.

    FIBS (CONTD)And thats how I get an office of
