Fibrolux enables the use of composite panels, which were originally developed for military purposes, for civilian applica-tions. The panels can be used both as single component armour, as well as in combination with other materials for rein-forced armour. By combining multiple panels, increased safety levels can also are achieved.

Ballistic Composite Panels have the advantage, that they can, as opposed to conventional materials, capture bullets and splinters upon impact and enclose them.

high protective effect at low material thickness

low weight - therefore easier to transport and assemble

easy to process with carpenters tools (hard metal)

corrosion and chemical resistant, therefore no protective coating needed

very high mechanical strength, insensitive to mechanical influences

 thermally insulated

 electrically insulated

 electromagnetically transparent

maintenance-free, significantly longer life than steel

In planning and assembly it should be noted that joints and cor-ners should have an additional covering. This may be accomplis-hed by a staggered mounting of the panels, or by attaching an additional layer with sufficient overlap at the gap.

Fibrolux bCP can be processed with conventional tools (hard me-tal).

Fibrolux bCP can be varnished, painted or decorated by adding an additional coating of foil etc.

If the wall thickness of the panels is reduced, the penetration resistance at this point is no longer guaranteed; in this case an additional coverage should be mounted.
