Fibertronics Offers a wide range of MTP/MPO products including single mode or multimode MPO

and MTP fiber cable. Multi fiber connections used in high-density backplane and Printed Circuit

Board (PCB) applications in data and telecommunications systems. The MPO fiber cable connector

offers up to 12 times the density of standard connectors, providing significant space and cost savings.

MPO fiber patch connectors utilize precision molded MT ferrules, with metal guide pins and precise

housing dimensions to ensure fiber alignment when mating. The MPO fiber cable can be mass termi-

nated in combinations of 4, 8, 12, 24, 48 fiber ribbon cables. Optional Lengths available.

A Mode Conditioning Cable is a duplex multimode cord that has a small length of single mode fiber at the start of the transmis-

sion length. The basic principle behind the cord is to launch laser into the small section of single mode fiber. The other end of

single mode fiber is coupled to the multimode section of the cable with the offset from the center of the multimode fiber.

This patch cord is required with -LX or long wave Gigabit Ethernet transceivers that use both SM and MM fibers. When

launching into a MM fiber, the transceivers can generate multiple signals that cause Differential Mode Delay (DMD) which can

severely limit transmission distances. A mode conditioning patch cord removes these multiple signals, eliminating problems at

the receiver end.


Fiber optic coupler are designed to split the input fiber optic light into two or more parts, and then to output the split signal to two or more optical

fibers. These high port count fiber optic couplers are available in 1x2, 1x4, 1x8, 1x16, 1x32. 1x64, 2x options are also available. Call for more info.

MIL-C-28876 As an industry standard fiber optic interconnect for shipboard and ship-to-shore uses, the MIL-C-28876 has become the universal

standard connector for Navy applications. The MIL-C-28876 is constructed out of aluminum alloy with double start threads for extra

durability in rough environments. This connector meets the U.S. Navy's stringent MIL-S-901 Grade A Medium shock requirement.

The MIL-C-28876 is available in plug, wall-mount receptacles, and jam-nut mounted receptacles in a full range of standard insert ar-

rangements. This connector uses the MIL-T-29504 /14 and /15 sealed termini which we terminates in our factory using custom, auto-

This Variable Attenuator uses collimator lens technology enabling the user to change attenuation through the

ue your system requires. The attenuator has a 0.8dB typical insertion loss and is available in a 2 meter

length and may be connectorized. A low back reflection style is prepared with ultra PC connectors

maintaining the internal low back reflection characteristics. Attenuation range: 0.8dB to 80dB.

In-Line fixed attenuators are available in various lengths and connector types. The are assembled by custom-

er order so the operating wavelength must be stated when ordered. Available in 5, 10,15 and 20 dB levels.

Fibertronics EMC-R14-2 provides 14 slots for standalone 10/100M media converter. The chassis is being equipped with

dual cooling fans and redundant power supplies (optional). designed for continuous operation. Its Plug-and-Play and Hot-

Swap features allow installing/removing the converter unit without powering off. The chassis comes with two high quality

hot swappable power supplies. Either power unit can be removed without disturbing the chassis’ operation - offering total

efficiency, maximum redundancy and minimum down time. Each converter is supplied from a common shared power bus

- but as an added precaution, each is individually protected in the event of a problem on the bus or from power surges.
