What Is It Really?

• fear: a distressing emotion aroused by the impending threat of danger, evil, or pain. whether the threat is real or imagined..

• Researchers state that there are currently over 500 known phobia’s that people can have.

• Realistically there are as many phobias (fears) that exist as there are people that live in the world today.

What does it say about FEAR?

• The Bible mentions “FEAR” and being “AFRAID” over 530 times.

• Of those 530 times the Bible says to “FEAR NOT” or to not “be afraid” 365 times.

• Why does the Bible mention FEAR so many times?

Why does it talk about FEAR?

• Because the BIBLE is not a book of FAIRY tales about FAKE people in fake places. It deals with REAL people and the real ISSUES that we as human beings face.

#2.) ADMITTING our fears does NOT leave us being WEAKER it actually makes

room for us to be STRONGER.

= For US most things in this LIFE are IMPOSSIBLE but with God ALL things are POSSIBLE. (MT. 19:26)

= “I can do ALL things through CHRIST who gives me STRENGTH.” -Philippians 4:13

= Our WEAKNESSES and FEARS leave room for CHRIST to be STRONG in our lives. (1 Cor. 12:9-10)

#3.) FEAR and WORRYING gets in the way of LIFE and our RELATIONSHIP with GOD and what He wants to ACCOMPLISH in

and THROUGH us.= Living in FEAR causes us to focus on our own WEAKNESSES and not on God’s POWER.

= “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not

worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
