Outstanding Musician - Richie Loidl“Lake-shaker” Richie Loidl , as the creator of the authentic Shake the Lake festival in Austria, will be the master of ceremoniesduring the two events and guide the audience through the programme. He was trained in classical piano as a child, but foundhis true niche at age 18, when he developed a passion for boogie-woogie and blues piano, inspired by the styles of contemporarymusicians who re-animated the rarely played genre in Europe during the late 70s and 80s. Also an accomplished vocalist, hisrepertoire consists not only of moving boogie-woogie and earthy blues but of popular Broadway standards, discreet bar musicand some pop songs that everyone likes to hear. The highlights of his career to date are large boogie festivals in France,Germany and Switzerland, as well as numerous performances throughout Italy, Spain, Canada, Bahrain, USA, Dubai in theU.A.E., Shanghai and, naturally, in all of Austria. His motto: “Simply live! Let the good times roll! Keep shaking!”

Martin`s recognition one of the most multitalented pianoentertainers in Europe. As an outstanding musician andextraordinary talent, he increased rapidly with critics and his ever-growing audience. 15 CD/ DVD/ and Book-releases, performanceson several international jazz festivals (Paris, Montreux, Moskow,Vladivostok, Ascona, Istanbul, Burghausen a.m.o.), lots of TV-Broadcasts and cultural awards confirm the popularity of the 48-year-old bavarian pianist, singer and entertainer.

Martin`s professional development as pianist and singer was based on extensive studies of the great Stride, Swing,Boogie Woogie and R&B masters, like James P. Johnson, Fats Waller, Teddy Wilson, James Booker, AlbertAmmons, Ray Charles a.o., he also continued broadening his own characteristic style of playing and singing.When adding to this his natural entertaining talents plus creating new songs (music and words), He has beenopening act for Joe Cocker, Eric Burdon, Dr. John, Marla Glenn, Jerry Lee Lewis and has been performing withChuck Berry, Paul Carrack, Pete York, Victoria Tolstoy a.m.o.

Outstanding Musician – Johnny Schuetten

Frank “Johnny” Schuetten studied classical piano, composing andOrchestra conducting at the Music Academy in Vienna, Austria.Although he still works in the classical field as a conductor andcomposer, he is also devoted to jazz piano from traditional ragtimeand Stride-Piano to swing.After his studies and engagements in classical music, he spent twoyears in New York to broaden his knowledge and experience inmusical and jazz-piano.

He performs solo or in different formations on Festivals throughout Europe. Since 1998 he organizes with fellowmusicians the Annual “Shake The Lake” Festival in Austria, which has become one of the biggest Piano-JazzFestivals in Europe. Furthermore, he launched a classical/jazz festival, “Autumn Leaves”, that also takes placein Austria and features wellknown artists from all over the world. He is musical director of the annual“Eleuthera All That Jazz” Festival in the Bahamas. Johnny Schuetten also works as a composer and has writtenin various styles between classical orchestra setting and Jazz-Piano. He has participated on different CD-Productions. At the moment he lives in Austria near Salzburg as well as in Vienna.

Outstanding Musician - Christoph Steinbach

"The Boogie Wolf": A Piano, 10 sizzling boogie fingers and a"howling" voice, that shouts throughout his curly hair. Born on dec24th, 1977 in Kitzbühel / Tirol / Austria, Christoph is an outstandingand professinal musician, pianist and singer and - by the way - adescendant of Franz Liszt. He is well known as a "highspeed-pianist","playing faster than his shadow" and was touring with stars like: EricBurdon, Chris Barber, Tony Sheridan, Chris Farlowe, Mungo Jerry,Gus Backus, Chris Andrews, Pete York, Axel Zwingenberger.

„Boogie ist the best what happened to the world and the fingers are the best what happened to me“, Christophsays. As a young boy at the age of 5 he already approached the world of music, experimenting with the piano ofhis grandmother. 6 years old he was sitting on a piano-stool of a professional teacher. Little later "small"Christoph discovered the boogie woogie. He practiced every day, challenged his record player, the record-pinforward and back - listening and rehearsing. That created his outhentic way to improvise. Beside the piano helearned to play double bass, Austrian traditional harmonica, drums - and he finished his education as a retail-businessman. Today Christoph can be seen as one of the best and ingenious boogie pianists in the world.
