• The level of fire protection to be provided at an airport is based on its category, which is determined by the size and number of movements of the various aircraft using the airport, as defined in chapter 2 of reference (a). The following list reflects the aircraft type (large frame aircraft), number of movements during June, July and August and their category as depicted in Appendix 2 of reference (a):

• b. The level of fire protection required for Category 8 airfield, as depicted in reference (a):
• 1) Water required with AFFF = 18.200 liters (4.808 gl.) with delivery rate of 7.200 L/min. (1.902 gpm.). See table 2-2 of reference (a).
• 2) First truck on scene within 2 min. ready to discharge 50% of the required agent (parag. 2.7 of reference (a)).
• 3) The remaining fleet on scene no more than 1
min. later.
