On behalf of the 22 members of the Fenway Alliance, and our community and corporate partners, we welcome you to the 12th Annual OPENING OUR DOORS celebration – Boston’s largest single free day of arts, cultural and educational events.
The Fenway Alliance is a consortium of 22 national and internationally renowned cultural and academic institutions all located in the Fenway that define the best of arts, culture, education, and research in Boston and beyond. Now in its 12th year, Opening Our Doors, our signature event, brings together our members and community organization partners in a wonderfully diverse day of free cultural offerings for the entire family. Member institutions and partners host activities ranging from musical and dance performances to historic tours and lectures, special “behind-the-scenes” looks at Alliance institutions, walking tours of The Fenway, and much more.
OPENING OUR DOORS is also a celebration of all the work that The Fenway Alliance and our members do “behind-the-scenes” in the areas of economic partnerships, the environment & green space, sustainability and transportation.
We believe it is important to not just place art on display and open the doors of concert halls for a complimentary performance, but to encourage people to create art and participate actively in a cultural experience. This year you will find several opportunities to express yourself through art, music and dance.
We are happy to share all that The Fenway has to offer with you not just today, but every day during the year. Have a great day and please share your experiences with us – email stories, photos or ideas for next year to: [email protected] or write to us on Facebook.com/FenwayCultureBoston.
Have a great time!
