DESCRIPTION
Fennel has been used in traditional medicine for a wide range of ailmentsrelated to digestive disorder, endocrine, reproductive, and respiratory infection. It is also used as a galactagogue agent for nursing morhers. This suggested use is due to the presence of phytoestrogens (flavonoids, phenolic compounds, alkaloid, tannin, saponin and essential oil) present in fennel which promote growth of breast tissue.
