Flood Insurance
■ Flood insurance is not just for properties located in the 100-year floodplain.
■ 25% of flood insurance claims are for structures outside the 100-year floodplain.
■ Homeowners, renters, and business owners located outside the 100-year floodplain can purchase standard policies or reduced-rate “preferred risk” policies.
