spoke of the “Ubuntu Philosophy” where the author, Mungi Ngomane, of the newly published book “Everyday Ubuntu” really encapsulated the meaning of ubuntu, she said: “ Ubuntu is a way of life from which we can all learn. Whoever we are, wherever we live, whatever our culture, ubuntu can help us co-exist in harmony and peace”.

A t Ubuntu Wealth Management we try to live true to our name. Owners and

staff alike are encouraged to all participate in charity and community events. Giv-ing back to the community that supports us is an integral part of who we are. In this newsletter we would like to tell you about our business achievements and a few of our good causes for this year. Tough Mudder

Tough Mudder took place in September and was held at the Cholmondeley estate in Malpas, Cheshire. This

is a mud and obstacle course designed to test your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit. Garnet Ronander, Ryan Guthrie, Harry Roache, Leigh-Anne Matthews Pieterse and Evert Pieterse braved their way through 10 miles of mud and 20+ obstacles' to claim their next coloured headband.

This year we raised funds to support the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation who provide grants that

support small to medium-sized charities with the main focus being on children and young people who have special needs. What’s more every pound raised was matched by the Foundation. All the Charitable Founda-tion’s administration costs were also covered, so everything raised went straight to the charities we support.

5 x Tough Mudder tickets are up for grabs to join our Ubuntu

Diamond’s Team in the 2020 Tough Mudder madness at the Cholmondeley estate in Malpas, Cheshire. This is open to all our

Ubuntu: I Am Because We Are

Earlier this year, Jennifer made contact with an old family friend, Ian, who served in the Royal Artillery along-

side her Dad and saw service in Northern Ireland and Bosnia to name but

a few. After speaking with Ian it became apparent that Ian was and still is

suffering from complex post traumatic stress disorder. He mentioned

how difficult it had been to find help and how he had been let down by a

charity that has been specifically set up to help ex servicemen such as

Ian. Ian told Jennifer how he had been put in touch with a charity, Stand

Easy, that provided acupuncture for ex service men and woman, the first

3 sessions were free and after that they had to be funded.

Every year the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation has a pot of mon-

ey ready to donate to different charities. This year, after being in touch with Ian, Jennifer decided that she

would apply for a charitable grant from the St. James's Place Charitable foundation for Stand Easy. The applica-

tion was sent to the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation who kindly returned a cheque for £1000.00 to Jen-

nifer for Stand Easy.

As Stand Easy are based in Norwich, Jennifer asked Ian if he would present the cheque to Stand Easy on her

behalf. Since receiving the cheque Jennifer has also received a letter from them thanking her for the grant say-

ing that it will go a long way to helping other veterans.
