Cultural preferences. What exactly is a building? A giant puzzle with pieces of various materials and sizes, put together with ingenuity, careful calculation and cost-efficiency to fulfill a function or resolve a need. Or is it simply the sum of all involved – from the architect and individual craftsmen to those who move in and populate the space – who constitute the actual building? We’d like to think so. Each project has its own form of expression, its symbolic language, its layers – cultural forces that extend far beyond the drawing board. We call this simply, the Fellert cultures.
