Quicklink back to Content and Formative Assessments
When students struggle on a quiz/test, I encourage them to review the content lesson and feedback left on formative assessments associated with the lesson. You can easily insert direct links to content and dropboxes by clicking the quick link button.

Feedback Best Practices
Always include late work deductions in the feedback area.
Feedback Best Practices
• Also, don’t forget to include feedback in the gradebook when you give students a zero.
• Example: Assignment was not completed by the due date, 11/08/13. If assignment is completed by 11/15/13 at midnight, grade earned will be adjusted according to the GaVS tardy/late policy penalties. If there is an error, please get in touch with me!
Using Turnitin.com to Provide Feedback
• Turnitin.com is a program that helps identify papers that have been plagiarized.
• It not only tells teachers if the papers have been plagiarized, but it gives us the exact sources that were used on the internet.
• Turnitin.com is embedded within our courses, so you don’t have to do anything regarding submission.
Originality Report
The originality report sorts through many databases of information, including
scholarly writings (journals, research, etc), and work that has been previously submitted to educational institutions.
The originality report detects matches to
items in these databases and gives a percentage match to
the items found.
This report can be used in the following ways:- to determine where information should be cited- to determine where original words were not used
GradeMark
Enabling TurnitinGo into the dropbox, and click Edit next to the assignment.
Then scroll to the bottom of the page, and allow students to see Originality Reports.
