assets, the customer has been able to reduce operating expenses
without compromising service. In act, Intuitive Surgical has been able
to maintain high standards o customer service during double-digit
growth by orward stocking inventory at FSLs, which allows them to be
closer to their client base and shorten service turnaround times.
Since Intuitive Surgical has centralized inventory at the FedEx CSL in
Memphis, they have closer access to the FedEx Express Air Hub. Now,
their service technicians can place orders late into the night and have
parts delivered early the next morning at the point o use or they can
have the package held or pickup as early as 7 a.m. at a FedEx Ofce
location.
As Intuitive Surgicals supply chain demands shit in the uture, FedEx
will be ready to quickly and eectively react by modiying the FSL
network to meet the customers business needs.
