The temporary closures will be displayed by way of barricades and signs, or by traffic controllers. Altered traffic conditions will be enforced and will effect: MELBOURNE STREET - The full length of the Yarrawonga Mulwala bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 50m North of Hunt Street, Yarrawonga to 50m South of Gulai Road, Mulwala. Road closure points at intersection of Melbourne Street and Cypress Drive. All traffic wanting to enter or exit Mulwala via Melbourne Street will be diverted via Weir Road / Gulai Road. NO HEAVY VEHICLE ACCESS ON GULAI ROAD. Heavy vehicle traffic is advised to seek an alternate route during this period. MELBOURNE STREET Contra flow from the intersection of Bayly Street to Gulai Road. Traffic reduced to one lane at a time between Bayly Street and Gulai Road North bound along Melbourne Street. MELBOURNE STREET Full closure from the intersection of Bayly Street to Savernake Road. Road closure points at intersection of Melbourne Street and Havelock Street, Erne Street, Edward Street, Inglis Street and Dumore Street. Access to Purtle Park and Boat Ramp restricted. Access to Apex Park and Inglis Street Boat Ramp restricted. COROWA ROAD – Full closure from the intersection of Savernake Road and Tocumwal Road. Road closure points at intersection of Corowa Road and Savernake Road, Lakeview Court, North Street, Amaroo Court and Waterwood Court. Access to Owen Bridges Reserve and boat ramp restricted. SPRING DRIVE – Full closure from the intersection of Tocumwal Road to Drain Lane. Road closure points at intersection of Bull Plain Road and Kyffins Road. Traffic will be diverted via Drain Lane, Merton Road, Bull Plain Road, McCurdies Road to Savernake Road. Access to Kyffins Reserve and boat ramp will be restricted. The purpose of the closures is to permit the safe conduct of the triathlon aspect of the Yarrawonga Mulwala Multi- Sport Festival. Disruptions to normal traffic conditions may include possible delays due to temporary street closures. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes or plan your day between these hour(s) to avoid any possible inconvenience. Should residences or businesses require any further information in relation to this disruption to normal traffic conditions, please contact the Splash n Dash Committee on 0437 817 011. *Road closure end times are an upper estimate. As soon as cyclists have finished the bike course roads will begin to re-open. Federation Council invites residents to review the draft Flood Study reports and have their say at a community meeting on Thursday 12 October. In 2014, a Flood Study was commenced for the towns of Urana, Oaklands, Morundah, Boree Creek and Rand. This study is now nearing completion and the reports are available for public review at Federation Council offices. Impacted residents from the towns are invited to join representatives from contractors, the Jacobs Group, Office of Environment and Heritage and Federation Council for a presentation on the flood study. In addition to the presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion on proposals. The meeting will be held on Thursday 12 October from 5.30pm – 7.30pm, at the Urana Bowling Club. WATER MAIN CLEANING Federation Council will commence water main cleaning in the township of Corowa on Wednesday October 18. The air scouring process will take approximately 10 to 14 days to complete and customers will receive a letter informing them of dates and times that their water supply will be affected. During the cleaning process customers may encounter dirty or discoloured water. All high water use customers will be taken into consideration and a representative will be available to liaise. Due to the ongoing commitment by the Council to maintain a quality water supply, the water mains will be cleaned on an annual basis.
