From Ordained Minister to Construction worker

to Recovery Coach and Yoga Instructor

I do not very often think of my life as “un-usual” until I start telling my story. You know that moment, you are at a party and in the small talk (get to know you phase) and someone asks, “So, where are you from? and What do you do?” As the story unfolds and I hear myself explaining my life path I begin to realize how definitely unique things for me have been. I’ve packed quite a bit into my 44 years and although I’m happy in the here and now, getting to this point has not been easy. I believe we all have bumps and scrapes along the way, I have learned to embrace mine and in my heart believe that it is not the celebration of victory that defines us but rather it is the overcoming of obstacles that allows us to experience pockets of grace.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1970. My Family did not live there very long and when I was 8 years old we moved to Ft Lauder-dale Florida. My teen years were the typi-cal 80’s scene. If you have ever watched the movie, ‘16 Candles’ you will know what I mean. The movie had the stereotypical jock, smart one, rich one, rebel and weirdo by high school definition. The thing of it is I never related to any one of the characters. I felt I was a little bit of all of them rolled into a messy ball. My high school was small, I was popular in the sense that everyone knew who I was, but I got the sense they did not quite know what to make of me. Which

now looking back makes sense because I did not quite know what to make of myself? Spiritual things were always of interest to me, I was not raised with a formal religious upbringing so I was able to investigate and consider the religions of my friends.

When Shirley McLain published “Dancing in the light” in the early 1980’s I read it. The draw was immediate and I decided I wanted an altar and to meditate. Improvising, I took a speaker box, put it in a pillow case and created my first altar. I would sit and stare into the flame of a candle, and would con-centrate on “becoming one with the light.”

The problem was, I had no idea what I was trying to achieve or if I even knew what it meant. In my teenage mind the concept seemed cool and appealing but after a short while of trying and not turning into a human size flame, I gave up. I began to dabble with Tarot cards, read Nostradamus and books on metaphysics. What would become my life long quest for a sense of connection began. “Why?” was my favorite question, I wanted to know everything about life and how “we” got here. I felt separate and alone, small and isolated. I was often referred to as an “old soul”, which I thought meant I was more mature than kids my own age and I liked the way that sounded even though it didn’t feel very good.

Throughout high school I would talk to my friends about their religions and continue to read books on the supernatural and para-normal. My heart longed for something, I continued to sense that there was great meaning to life.

At 19 I believed I had found the answer. As I began studying with a conservative Chris-tian Bible group.

The next 11 years of my life were dedi-cated to bringing the message of God as I had been taught it to people at their home, work or anywhere I could find them. In 1996 I moved to Bangor, Maine. The leaves changing in the fall are beautiful, and one day while taking a drive to enjoy the scenery the car I was in was struck. The accident was severe, it was neces-sary that the jaws of life were used to get me out of the car. There was no hospital in the rural area. While I was being trans-ported it became evident that my left lung had been punctured, if it was not for the willingness of a young paramedic riding with me attempting to perform an emer-gency procedure, I would have died before I ever made it to the hospital. The progno-sis was not good, hospice was called in to support my family and friends and to pre-pare them for the fact that I most likely would not live. After several days of being in a coma my situation turned around and im-provement began to occur. I had a team of eleven doctors that worked diligently to do as much damage control as possible. It remained unclear as to if I would suffer permanent brain damage and if I would be able to walk again. My physical reha-bilitation lasted two years. I went from a wheelchair, to a walker, to crutches and eventually a cane before I was able to walk without assistance. Psychologically I suffered from PTSD, Generalized Anxiety,

Depression and Night Terrors. Throughout my rehabilitation I relied heavily on my faith and the church. Fortunately I was young and healthy, my body responded well to treatments and my recovery by all counts was considered miraculous. Although I enjoyed the years that I spent as a Christian Minister, my heart over time lost it’s connection to organized religion and I decided to leave that life behind me in 2001.

I moved to Santa Fe New Mexico “The Land of Enchantment”, after trying my hand at being a Real Estate Broker I decided that I preferred the construction aspect of real estate and opened a development company. We specialized in Historic re-models and for five years I loved my work and the magic New Mexico offered. Within five years however my gypsy spirit called me away and in 2006 I moved to Louisiana. It would be the years that followed when I would come face to face with my own personal demons, struggle with the physi-cal ramifications of my car accident and finally begin to get closer to answering the questions I had been asking my whole life.

Although I had been a drinker prior to my car accident in 1996, 10 years later would find me in full swing. I drank daily, some-times for fun but mostly to kill the emotional and physical pain that I felt. It was a hab-it, it was an addiction and I was an alco-holic. Even though all the signs were there I refused to acknowledge and accept that I was an alcoholic, I believed that I was not like other people that drank every day. I had gone back to college, I was on the dean’s list and in multiple honor societies. I worked diligently to keep my external life together and exemplary. Internally I was falling apart. I had lost my way after leaving the church, and although I considered my-self to be a “spiritual person”,

I lacked any type of consistent practice to keep me focused or with a sense of con-nection to the universe.

In 2010 I threw myself into self-help books, books on religion, Angels, crystals, medi-tation etc. but ultimately it was not until I began to maintain a daily meditation prac-tice that my spirit began to heal. Nightly I began to listen to Kelly Howell meditation CD’s. I listened to everyone I could get a hold of. Then I started listening to Thich Nhat Hanh, Wayne Dyer, Ram Dass, Deep-ak Chopra and many others.

After finishing my degree at LSU, with a fo-cus on Psychology, Philosophy, and sociol-ogy I decided to go to school for a year to study to become an addiction therapist, I wanted to follow in the footsteps of the man who had helped me. He had seen past the anger and pain and in my estimation done the impossible…he had put Humpty Dump-ty back together again. I began teaching substance abuse education courses and interning as an addiction therapist. During this time I also began to immerse myself in studying ancient texts of various religions and spiritual leaders, daily meditation be-gan to change me and my focus on life. I craved greater understanding of the magi-cal aspects of life, my childish wistfulness returned with a vengeance. My desire to “help” others heal from addiction and trau-ma grew but I knew that strictly convention-al methods were not the only way, I decid-ed to follow my own path. After becoming certified as a pranic healer and receiving my national certification in recovery coach-ing the next logical piece for me was going to school to become a registered yoga teacher.

The day I signed up for the program and

met my teacher I knew in my heart an-other piece of the puzzle had been put in place. I began attending the Yoga School in Covington Louisiana and was under the direct tutelage of Becky Gelatt. The lin-eage I would be following under was that of Krishnamachorya, T.K.V Desikachar and Gary Kraftsow. The teacher trainings and topics for discussion were more rigorous than 4 years of college.

It was while attending an IAYT (Interna-tional Association of Yoga Therapist) con-ference that I met Richard Miller and was introduced to iRest Yoga Nidra. As founder of iRest Richard Miller explains, “Dur-ing Yoga Nidra, we investigate our actual experience so that we can understand the nature of who we actually are and what the world really is. Yoga Nidra helps us investigate and dispel the roots of our conditioning that underline our mispercep-tions of reality. Yoga Nidra dissolves the obstacles that stand in the way of our lead-ing an authentic life of purpose and mean-ing, and for those who are interested, it can awaken us into living an enlightened life of self-realization as our True Nature.” – Yoga Nidra, A Meditative Practice for Deep Relaxation and Healing

The idea of an investigation into who “we” really are and what life means for “us” had me hooked. Being able to not only learn a scientifically based meditative practice for myself but to also be able to train in the techniques and teachings of iRest Yoga Nidra in order to help others heal from various physical and emotional ailments was what I felt I had been searching for all life. Several trainings and retreats later I can say without a doubt I made the right choice in fol-lowing the path the Universe has put me on.

I have learned that it is true that when the student is ready, the teacher will come. I have been blessed with many teachers in the past several years all of which continue to help me grow in my personal practice as well as my ability to help others. I opened my own company in September of 2014, Light of Dawn Yoga, LLC.

I am enjoying teaching both private coach-ing sessions and group meditation practic-es, the New Year has been amazing now that I am able to dedicate myself to work that I love. The possibilities are endless and the future feels bright and expansive. It seems like every day I have a special interaction with someone, even if it’s as simple as an exchange via social media.

Although I have become an RYT200, I con-tinue weekly teacher trainings with my origi-nal yoga teacher Becky Gelatt, who is a font of knowledge and I cannot imagine learning even a quarter of what she knows even if I spent the rest of my life trying. I will be at-tending the 3rd part of the 4 part training to become fully certified as an iRest instruc-tor as I am now a TIT, (teacher in training) January 29th –February 1st with Richard Miller in San Rafael California at Santa Sa-brina. And February 8-9 I will take my final intensive with Master Stephan Co in level II Pranic Healing.

It is my hope to continue to advance in my trainings in order to help myself grow and heal and share the gifts my teachers have imparted to me with others. It’s been ap-proximately 30 years since the teenage girl that I once was began to meditate as best she knew how. It has taken years of search-ing to finally find my place in the world and I love being here and fully present for my life today. After my near death experience

people would tell me how lucky I was to be alive. At the time I did not feel lucky. I felt lost, confused and without purpose. A Yogic life (or my version of it) has changed that. Although I have Physical limitations and lasting injuries due to my car accident, yoga and meditation give me comfort emotionally and physical relief unlike any other thera-pies I have tried.

I would like to encourage anyone and ev-eryone to look to yoga and meditation for spiritual inspiration and physical rehabilita-tion. Yoga offers a path of self-investigation and discovery into all of the great “myster-ies” of life, which actually aren’t so myste-rious. The answers are there, they come when the time is right. Healing comes in all shapes and forms, but it is available. Happiness is ever-present as well. I can-not say enough in this brief article to even begin to skim the surface of the world I have been privileged to become a part of. It has taken my whole life and much searching to realize, we are not separate, but rather all One a part of the great I Am. It is my hope that if my story has touched you in any way or you would like more informa-tion and I can be of service to you do not hesitate to contact me. It would be my plea-sure and privilege to help or share a mo-ment with a fellow seeker.

In gratitude with Love

Remember, Interpret and

LIVE YOUR DREAMS

Part 1By J.M. DeBord

Step 1 Remember Your Dreams

The first step in my dream work method is learning how to remember your dreams. Dreams can seem impossible to remem-ber or not worth the effort, especially dark or painful ones, and this all-important initial step often seems the most difficult. But it’s really not as hard as you might think. It just takes practice and a few good strategies. People also often think they “don’t dream.”I think it helps to know that, except in rare instances of brain damage, everyone dreams. Comatose people dream. Blind people dream. Babies in the womb dream. Even animals dream. If you think you don’t dream, the truth is you simply don’t remem-ber our dreams. Don’t worry. By the end of this chapter you will most certainly begin to. If you are someone who has no trouble remembering your dreams, you might want to skip ahead to the next section about keeping a dream journal (page 8). For the restof you, read on. In my experience, people’s inability to re-member dreams usually comes down to lack of time or desire. If you are too busy and distracted when you first wake up, your dreams will often slip away. But everyone who tries to remember his or her dreams eventually succeeds. Here are some sug-gestions for dream recall:

1. Talk to yourself the night before. Tell yourself before going to sleep that you will remember your dreams. Really tell yourself. Say it like you mean it. Say it like a prayer. Anything repeated to oneself three times with full attention islikely to be remembered, so before going to sleep say three times, “I will remember my

dreams.” If you have difficulty saying it with conviction, you might be internally blocked— you say you want to remember but really don’t, or don’t think you can. If that’s the case, relax and let it come naturally. By reading this book you are planting a seed in your subconscious, and once you know the true value and benefit of your dreams, you will wholeheartedly want to remem-ber them, and the conviction to say so and mean it will grow.

2. Write down your dreams. Make time to remember and write down your dreams as soon as you wake up. This will require an adjustment if you normally start your day at a run, but it’s essential. When I’m in a busy environment, I retreat to the bathroom with my journal first thing in the morning.

3. Review at bedtime, cue your mind. If you remember dreams from the last time you slept, review them at bedtime, or browse through your journal. By reviewing your dreams you cue your mind for that night’s dreams.

4. Don’t move. Stay in, or return to, the same physical position you were in when you first woke up. This physical cue helps jog dream memories and aid recall. I know someone who remembers his dreams as soon as he goes to bed, because the memo-ries are stimulated by returning to a sleeping position.

5. Meditate. A clear mind, calmly aware of itself and its surroundings, is a great helper for remembering dreams. Don’t let the word scare you. Meditation is any activity that holds your attention in a relaxed way, so a peaceful walk counts as long as you relax and clear your mind.

Page 15: February issue 2015

15 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

6. Be patient. The memories of your dreams are never lost, just stored away. There might be good reason why you block out some dream memories: They are too difficult to accept! Groundwork might have to be laid before the messages can be received. It’s fine to be a turtle instead of a hare when itcomes to dream work.

For most people, dream memories disappear soon after waking up, though the window of opportunity stays open longer with prac-tice. So get in the habit of asking yourself as soon as you wake up, “What did I dream?” Hold other thoughts at bay as you look inside and ask that question. It’s like staring into a dark night and waiting for forms to take shape. In that black inkiness are your dream memories. One memory, just a flash of a dream, is enough to give shape to the rest. Relax. Breathe deep. Search your memory. If a fragment of a dream comes to mind, ask yourself if it fits into a larger picture. For instance:

I wake from a dream and remember only that I was with my brother at a costume party. To remember the rest, I ask why we were there, how we got there, what we wore. I then recall that we drove to the party after visit-ing our mom. By asking why we visited her, I remember that we picked up costumes she made for us.

Once the initial association is made, it leads further into the dream memories. I usually don’t need more prompting to remember the rest of the dream, but if I do I continue the same process of questioning the details and paying close attention to anything that com-pares or contrasts with waking life.

Waking up opens the memory hole and soon the details slip away, though you might

remember other bits and pieces of a dream later in the day. By remaining at the edge of sleep longer and asking questions, the dreams aren’t allowed to escape as quickly.

If you do forget a dream, don’t fret: Dreams repeat themselves, displaying the same scenario a thousand different ways if neces-sary. In my experience, the dreaming mind is eager to get to work whenever I am, but the motor might take a few cranks to get started. If at first you don’t succeed, keep trying.

If you draw a blank when you first wake up, pay close attention to your feelings, which can give clues to what you dreamed. Allow your imagination to fill in gaps; your intuition and feelings know what happened in a dream even if it can’t be recalled. Also, flashes of dream memory can be remembered any time during the day. A simple act like sitting down to type at your computer or getting your usual cup of coffee in the break room can trigger a new detail of your dream to surface.

Don’t judge a dream while remembering it. This can be a terrible hindrance by the ego to avoid painful or uncomfortable dream content. If the ego (see page xvi of the introduction for a refresher on how I use this term) is one-sided, dreams will go the other direction just as far to illustrate what is out of balance.

In return, the ego, avoiding a hard look at itself, can go to great lengths to preserve its illusions. Everything seen in a dream is part of yourself or connected closely. Accept it. Embrace it. It’s all you taking shape and telling a story about your life. Listen and learn; don’t judge.

Page 16: February issue 2015

16 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

If you have tried self-suggestion and the other tools described here to remember your dreams and are still drawing a blank, try the following strategies. Napping. No alarm to wake up to, no work day to be-gin. Napping on a sofa or guest bed can stimulate dream recall, as can any change of sleeping environment.

Going to bed at your regular time but waking fifteen minutes early to an alarm is another option. I don’t like it because waking to an alarm tends to scatter my dream memories, but early sleep research discovered that people woken while having a dream are very likely to remember it.

Sleeping longer than normal is also known to help with dream recall. It gives the mind and body needed rest and opportunities to dream. People who go for long periods without sleep tend to have really bizarre dreams, which I attribute to rebellion in the unconscious side of the mind. Polyphasic sleep, sleeping multiple times in a twenty-four hour period, can also affect dreams. One particularly extreme form of Polyphasic sleep known as the Uberman sleep sched-ule breaks sleep into six twenty-minute naps, one every four hours. This can produce terrifying dreams, according to some people who have tried it. You don’t want to make an adversary of your unconscious mind; it needs complete sleep cycles of around ninety minutes to run processes for main-tenance of mind and body, without which a person breaks down mentally and physi-cally. Plus, with each consecutive dream cycle, dreams become longer and more meaningful. Half-hour naps don’t cut it.

Some drugs inhibit dream memory. In my experience, drugs that aid sleep also af-fect dreams by making them strange and

meaningless, or blocking memory. The small print is supposed to indicate if a drug affects sleep or dreaming. If you are taking a sleep aid, read the insert and ask your doctor about other methods of aiding sleep.

Going to bed intoxicated also affects dream-ing, as does cannabis. Some war veterans use medical cannabis to escape the night-mares of being back in combat; like alcohol, it suppresses dream recall and interferes with the sleep cycle.

Page 17: February issue 2015

In recovery groups it is well known that soon after cleaning up from a drug or alco-hol problem, a person will dream intensely. Dream activity usually picks up after a few days of sobriety, or after a few days of rest from a busy job. It gets intense because there is a backlog of dream content, but it’s better to slog through and let the dreams run their course than use a drug or some other means to avoid them. I’ve also known peo-ple who have quit using tobacco or taking prescription drugs and began remembering unusually powerful dreams.

If all else fails, take a long vacation and leave the alarm clock at home. Extra sleep is the best stimulator I know of for remembering dreams.

TipIf you wake up in the middle of the night and remember a dream, you only need to write down the major symbolism to jog your mem-ory and fully remember it the next time you wake up.

Spiritual Growth Checkpoint

Messages from my Guides

Page 19: February issue 2015

By Sherri Cortland

www.sherricortland.com

19 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

Every Friday for two years, one of the mem-bers of my Guide Group (the same “GG” who channeled the info for my first three books) channeled messages for the folks on my Facebook page, and they still do this once or twice a month. They talk about a myriad of subjects in their Facebook posts, including what I personally consider two of the most important topics for us to work on in 2015:

1) Understanding just who we really are on a soul level; and 2) Learning to use the innate power we all possess to spot our windows of opportunity for growth, raise our vibrations and move ourselves forward spiritually.

Believe it or not, I used to be very shy about my metaphysical studies and beliefs, and I didn’t want the public attention that comes with writing books, articles, and especially posts on Facebook. I’ve been working on this and by my third book, I was no longer kicking and screaming when the “GG” want-ed to get information out to us, and when they told me they wanted to put together a collection of their Facebook posts for a new book, I didn’t hesitate. I think the reason I didn’t vacillate for one second at their lat-est request was because of all of the feed-back I received when each of the messages

was originally posted on Facebook—I had instant feedback every week on how much the information that the “GG” was sharing was helping my page members, and hon-estly, it took me by surprise how many peo-ple they were reaching.

And so, all of the “GG”’s posts were com-piled and organized by my sister and co-author, Debbie Ihburg-Smith, into my Guide Group’s newest book, Guide Group Fridays, which Ozark Mountain Publish-ing tells me will be released right around the same time this article appears in The Eden Magazine. In addition to the posts, I wrote introductions for each of the chapters and also included some wisdom and advice from metaphysical and spiritual authors Shelly R. Wilson, Jill LeBeau, and Paula Renaye.

To celebrate the “GG”’s new book, I want to take this opportunity to share some ex-amples of the insight that Jeremy, Olexeo-porath, Gilbert, Selena, Charles, Akhnanda, and Sunna have channeled, and I chose these three posts because I think that we all deserve (a) to know that we are making a difference (it’s hard work being in body!) and (b) it’s time to remember just how pow-erful we are (important when it making deci-sions that will allow us to expedite our spiri-tual growth).

Message from Selena:

‘Greetings my friends, it is an honor and a privilege to speak with you today. My work is primarily with vibrations and the transforming and transmuting of vibrations on planet Earth and other planets as well. In this regard, I am, in a way, tuned in to what is happen-ing in your dimension and it is this subject I wish to speak with you about today. It is clear that thanks to your efforts, changes are hap-pening on not only a 3D Earth level, but also hat these changes are affecting other planets and dimensions as well.

As one individual or group of incarnated souls takes action that increases the fre-quency level, it changes your planet, but it also has a positive effect, energy-wise, on the universe as well. This speaks to the im-mense power that you wield and are largely unaware that you have. Each positive action, no matter how small, has a ripple effect that, like a table of dominos falling into each oth-er, affects the energy level of all beings on Earth and beyond. Remembering who you are while you’re incarnated on Earth is dif-ficult; remembering the extent of your power is even more difficult. Know that you are well-loved for undertaking this difficult journey, and know that we are always with you. Go in peace.”

Message from Olexeoporath:

“Sherri I will write with you this is Olexeopor-ath. It is interesting to us on this side of the veil that you are unable to see connections between situations and occurrences in your lives. On this side we can see how experi-ences relate to each other and where they are taking you in terms of spiritual growth. We understand that you cannot see things unfolding as clearly as we can see them un-folding, but there are steps that you can take

to make up for this difference: Life scripts, or continual unsuccessful attempts to learn a lesson, are something that you can notice and acknowledge if you will take the time to make an honest appraisal of your life. If you find that you are drawing the same type of situation or person to yourself, then you have a life script which equates to missed windows of opportunity to learn a lesson you wish to learn. When you spot a life script, prepare for the next window of opportunity by ana-lyzing how you have handled the individual situations that make up your life script, and resolve to do things differently the next time a window opens; i.e. change your actions or attitude—the way you handle such situa-tions. These changes or alterations in your attributed/behavior will eventually enable you to end your life script; at which point you will have made substantial growth. Go in peace.”

Message from Gilbert:

“Sherri, it is Gilbert. I will write with you today. Today let us speak of living in the moment, a phrase that has nearly become a cliché but a phrase that all should take seriously. The present is where important choices are made. The choices that were made in the past shaped your present, and the choices you make now will shape your future. You cannot undo the past, but you can learn from it, and use those experiences and the wis-dom gained to help you make better choices today. There are difficult choices to be made every day, and you have your Higher Self to guide you, so listen to your little voice within when you have challenges in front of you and you are not sure if you should turn right or left. There are also easy choices in front of you, such as smiling at or giving a kind word to someone. Your days are filled with choices that affect your future, and choices that will create positive energy and increase vibratory levels.

Page 21: February issue 2015

Such is the power of YOU. Go in peace.”Waking up and realizing our power comes with responsibility; waking up to who we are and understanding that we are control of our lives and spiritual growth is a weighty thing—because with it comes the realization that if we remain stagnant, it’s due to our own inaction, but it also comes with the immense satisfaction that as we move forward, it’s be-cause we are making it happen. We have that power. Namaste.

Energy HealingBy Joseph Gallenberger, Ph.D.

23 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

From my experience, applying energy for healing can have instant results about twenty percent of the time, results within a day or two about thirty percent of the time, a bit longer perhaps ten percent of the time, and no apparent result about forty percent of the time. Under the “no ap-parent result” I would include that the identified problem remains at least in the short term, but that the person’s attitude toward it becomes more posi-tive, or other positive changes oc-cur including insights into what might be the cause or what might need to change in lifestyle for the problem to be resolved. One of the advantages of energy healing is that is tends to be much easier to enter into relationship with a plant, an-imal, or person, than in the PK examples with objects mentioned previously. We can more readily use the natural compas-sion we have, and our natural desire to alleviate suffering. This makes the open-heart part of the equa-tion much easier to generate. Per-haps the most difficult person to ap-ply the open-hearted compassion to is to ourselves. We may feel guilty about having the illness, or because of the pain involved have rejected part of our own body that has pain, as evidenced by us-ing phrases such as “my bad knee.” We may have much fear that will need to be transcended, such as doing healing while waiting for a biopsy report.

With dice and spoons it may be a chal-lenge to have a strong desire or the will to create the PK effect. With heal-ing we may have too much desire

and find it hard to move from willful-ness to willingness. Just as with PK we have the challenge here of being unaware that our thoughts and emotions are creating either a positive or negative effect, and we may attribute what is hap-pening to luck, or to “God is punishing us” or “God is rewarding our prayers.” I am not saying here that in either PK or energy healing that we are doing it all by ourselves. As you know, my view is that “All is One” and that we are in communi-cation with essential forces when doing PK of any variety, including healing. And the essential forces that we may be in communion with, in my opinion, include God, grace, and spirits. In fact I actively affirm the presence of these forces and extend my gratitude for their assistance when doing healing.

Finally there is something about using energy healing for others that I am reluc-tant to call a challenge but it is definitely an issue. We are working with another being that has consciousness and free will. As we have mentioned, illness can have unconscious sacred purposes. When we enter into agreement to of-fer and accept healing energy, we enter into a sacred dance where it is best to send energy for highest purpose and to acknowledge that neither person in the contract can be absolutely certain what the best outcome will look like. Just as I did when finishing the section on PK, I would like to end this section by giv-ing you some energy healing guidelines that you may find useful if you choose to engage in energy healing.

Joe’s Energy Healing Tips

• Energy occurs in the context of the entire person—body, mind, and spirit. The diag-nostic and treatment tools of traditional and complementary medicine, high quality nu-trition, positive environment, exercise, and psychological and spiritual guidance all may be powerful healing avenues. Please obtain medical attention if needed.

• Approach healing with unconditional love, defined as love-unbounded by the person-ality of the sender or receiver. This opens the heart, unleashing the most powerful energy from which to do healing, and soft-ens the ego which can restrict full energy flow.

• Healing can transcend time/space if one believes this is possible. There is no need to be in the same physical place as the re-cipient for healing to be effective.

• It is helpful for both the sender and receiver to affirm that healing can be in-stant and complete, or can unfold in the best way.

• Rituals such as a healing space and do-ing healing according to a methodology can be helpful in focusing intent and creating confidence, but are not essential.

• It is respectful to have consent. If this is not possible then I ask permission from my higher self to the receiver’s higher self.

• While you may focus on a desired out-come, also affirm that the energy will result in this outcome or something better, as we

do not know what is best for the person.

• Illness can be present for many sacred purposes including as a teacher, or as an imbalance that is being rebalanced. It has been said that the purpose of prayer is to cure illness but at times the purpose of illness might be to initiate prayer.

• In its essence, to do healing pull in strong earth energy into your heart and highest of spirit energy into your heart, so that you are grounded and expanded at the same time. Then ask permission, and af-firm that you are willing to be a pure con-duit for the highest healing energies for the person’s greatest good. See the person in their finest health right now, then send loving energy by any means that seems right to you, such as through your heart or hands, and continue this sending for as long as it seems appropriate. There may be a sense of completion when the heal-ing energy is sufficient to accomplish the amount of change possible at that time. Think of the energy as a catalyst for posi-tive change in the person’s life, and that it can trigger a continuing healing process for them.

• Another way to do healing is to be in the powerful balanced loving state described above and just think of the person in their highest, forming a resonance connection with them that can raise their energy into resonance with yours.

• For directing healing towards yourself the same principles apply, including surrender to highest purpose, asking for assistance, seeing yourself in ideal health, and being in loving relationship with yourself.

Archangel Wings of Healing The healing light of Archangel Raphael

What a pure healing energy, beautiful color, shining in its magnificent of emerald green light. This is the ray, you instantly feel and see when you invite this celestial being into your space. And his presence is known as Archangel Raphael! Raphael deeper meaning is in resonance to “It is God who heals”, “God heal” and is purest intention and creation is to heal and help mankind to forgive oneself and others.

Archangel Raphael is known in traditional religion in Judaism, Islam and Christianity and in spiritual prospective in the esoteric and metaphysical lineage. A divine being to serve the world in a non-judgmental attitude; so everybody can call upon Arch-angel Raphael! And with this, he is one of

the favorites to work with in Angel Read-ings that carries the essence and its inten-tion of healing within and without.

Angel Readings and healings are always offered in a sacred and safe space of healing and guidance. Once the permis-sion is given to connect, will allow the Prac-titioner to read the client and work from a level of higher guidance and clarity, in a supportive and empowering way!

Today I have Sonali Kalgaonkar with me, though not face to face this time! She is based in Mumbai in India, but this won´t make any difference as we connect on “Skype Café Angel & Beyond.” There is really no time and space – and with this,

Page 28: February issue 2015

28 THEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

I go straight into the first clear message I receive for Sonali´s question she has ad-dressed today. “One question for which I need divine guidance is to know what I need to do get my health in order’s want to be fit and active and I need guidance on the way forward to achieve it” Sonali an-nounces as the theme for this reading.

It is very advisable in honoring the divine space to allow clarity and guidance coming in. Another very important aspect to have in mind is leaving behind your own opin-ions, experiences and mind chatter.

Very often after invoking and giving permis-sion, divine source and Angels guidance is felt in the way that you can feel the shift in energy. You may become hot, or your heart starts beating faster; or you may get chills, goose bumps, feel someone touch-ing you, hearing a whisper and your eyes are starting to flicker, something that points out that you’re channeling.

I am hearing a clear instruction telepathi-cally and communicate it to Sonali. “Sur-round yourself with white light. Put yourself in this protective bubble, fill it with light. Breathe it in - She will have to speak her truth and this will have a positive effect on her 5th Chakra related to thyroid gland. “Watch out for it and remember that you are a great source and worthy!” Sonali confirms some health issues with her thy-roid.

The Angels are sending me another mes-sage to spend time outside more often. The Sun light will fill her body with new vibrant energy and this will lead her to increase her immune system. She can continue working in her environment, but she may feels rejected at times and it will trigger her self-worth. “You are holding

still some wounds and hurt in your heart chakra. It has been there for a long time! I am hearing, when you became aware of it, you suppressed those feelings, not to feel the anger and guilt towards your father’s way of handling things. “Remember it is a way you have been thinking and this programming is still pres-ent in your subconscious mind!”

Than the angel go over to her diet and they advise that she needs to be self efficient and to stay away from harmful substances that do not serve her best, but they out-line that her diet has improved, but still needs some adjustment - I hear she needs to boost her immunity towards those, who do not see herself in the best way. “Nega-tive thinking from outside can have an effect on you, therefore protection is so important!”

I start scanning her Chakras and see that for her healing it is important to look after her fifth chakra. “Avoid harsh crit-ics against yourself and to others who do not understand your way of thinking. This also has to do with mothering and the issue to be mother or to be felt loved.” I announce to Sonali. I see that her right side is very clear and the left side needs some healing. She can do more work on her sublet bodies when she is using the prayers of her father. She can recall them when she is going to connect to him in Spirit.

.

Page 29: February issue 2015

29 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

The Angel tells me that her voice is a healing tool and that she can use it with singing. “Find out the sound that you need for healing.” I say to her while I feel that her heart chakra is overcoming some bur-den. She is giving and she is receiving but she fears rejection. There is a fine subtle line that is not open yet. She will be-come aware of it when the healing starts to release the pain of her lost loved one. To support Sonali´s healing I suggest some positive affirmations she can use to be gentle and lovingly to herself “I love send-ing love and peace into my soul.”, “I am accepting god’s love within me”, “Love it is, what I give and receive from my soul “and last but not least “Thank you for this lesson, I am open to receive in love and gratitude.”

We reach the third Chakra that is also called the Solar Plexus Chakra and I am informed by the Angels that this Chakra needs regular cleansing and well advised for others to do. How you can do this? You can do the white breathe and release negativity from your Solar Plexus, anoth-er powerful technique is to use the “Violet flame” which goes as deep into the cellular memory and atoms.

Furthermore we want her to stop craving food that makes her thirsty, spicy sub-stance can be strong at times and she are asked to use natural sources to season her food. She can cook her meals very well and bless them with the divine light, allowing her to have more pleasure en-joying it. I glance at her second Chakra and spot two strings attached to herself. Former relationship that needs a cutting chords and giving back soul contracts she does not need anymore. I invoke Archangel Michael and we cut ties from her old relationship, chords attached

and do not serve her best. “See yourself and the person in mind, allow Archangel Michael to cut this chord, breath it out and release it” Invite Archangel Raphael to fill the voids with healing blue to bring calmness and peace into your vertebrae and nervous system Allow Archangel Raphael to fill you with healing emerald green light and protecting this space - only good shall come in and go out.”

“Peppermint tea is helpful for your diges-tive system and uses a cooling color like pale blue to give some support to your digestive system and colon. Your feet need more grounding. Rooting and cleansing the chakras by walking on the morn-ing freshness of grass or walking on the beach to give the feet chakras the pulse to connect deeper to mother earth to feel to walk in her purpose.” I continue.

Her purpose is waiting to unfold. She has to allow herself to give herself more space and time and to prepare all of this is the last message I receive and with this con-clude my feature herewith.

With this I give thanks to Sonali, who gave permission to publish her reading and photo in this feature, so we can share that Angels are always with us and work to our best and Soul purpose. Cordial thanks to Eden Magazine to raise the conscious-ness and thank you divine and Archan-gel and Angels working with me in divine alignment to help and empower others in her true self!

If you wish to shed some light on some question you have, you can connect with Heike through Facebook or website www.AngelBeyond.com or on Facebook Angel & Beyond. In loving kindness!

The Celestial Elevator - Where and How Can

We See Parallel Worldsby Orna Ben-Shoshan

Page 31: February issue 2015

31 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

Worlds Far Out:The ongoing desire to discover an alternate fantastic reality, which is perfect and free of the limitations of time-space, begins is many people’s childhood. As children, we were often curious about who we are, and what this life is all about. In many cases, the death of a person we knew, have raised many questions about the after-life. The gnosis about existence of realms beyond is imprinted in the human collective experi-ence. There is a vague memory in every individual’s mind regarding other dimensions of existence.

Where did we come from and what is the purpose of this life? This question is often asked by humans of all ages. Did we come to this world from another realm? Can life exist in other forms besides the one we live in? Can we access such realms? Can any-one see them?

In the second half of the 20th century, mod-ern science has developed new tools to explain the existence of life in more than one dimension. According to the “String Theory”, the universe is spread in ten dif-ferent dimensions consisting of different energy vibrations, and the universal energy field is composed of “membranes” and other esoteric shapes.

The Realm of Matter:All that exists, seen or unseen, is an infinite field of being, composed of one dimensional strings that vibrate in an infinite spectrum of frequencies. The infinite energy field contains all that there is, it is the source where all forms of life exist. At the lowest range of this wide ray of frequencies, there is a “thickening” of energy fields. The low-est frequencies which crystallize into matter, are known to us as the “physical” world (dimension), which is measurable, and can

be recognized by our 5 senses. All other forms of life, which vibrate in higher frequen-cies that are beyond human perception, create the parallel realities of other realms. Scientists assume that parallel realities were created by the “missing” 80% of the mass released after the “Big Bang”. This mass was transformed into energy fields that com-pose the other dimensions. Different theories suggest that we exist in the 3rd dimension (out of 10). This is the most condensed energy field which enables the formation of matter. Other dimensions contain dif-ferent forms of life, with different levels of consciousness in different frequencies. All the physical attributes known to us at our physical world, such as electro-magnetic fields, gravitation, and nuclear energy, are singular manifestations of the universal en-ergy.

The Kabbalistic Outlook:According to the mystical Kabbalah, which investigates universal secrets and the es-sence of life, we can learn that the reality we are aware of represents a tiny section of the whole. The Kabbalah indicates that the larger part of existence, the dimensions that we cannot perceive with our human limitations, is indeed the reality itself and our physical life is just an illusion.

The Kabbalistic “Ten Sefirot” – or Ten Spheres – is a clear manifestation of the ten dimensions of the universe. The nine higher spheres existed before our physical world has been formed. The highest sphere is “Keter” (Crown) – a dimension of eter-nal light, the source of everything that was created, a dimension with no limitations. The following eight spheres are stemmed out of the highest sphere, and actualize their previous sphere as their energetic consis-tency become more and more condensed.

Page 32: February issue 2015

32 THEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

The energetic volume of every sphere is one tenth of its previous sphere. The world in which we live is the sphere named “Malchut” – (kingdom), the realm of matter.

The Scientific Perspective:The theory of parallel dimensions was first contemplated by scientists in Princeton University. A recent research by Prof. David Dutch of Oxford University has proven the theory of parallel worlds. He claims that we can only see a minimal portion of the large reality. Our world is only one of many pos-sible hidden realities, only one single form of existence out of infinite dimensions that exist at the same time. According to quantum physics, there is more than one universe, and we can interact with alternate dimen-sions of being.

Parallel realities may exist by different physi-cal laws of time and space. Their transpira-tions can be manifestations of another set of possibilities that are alternative to the occurrences we witness in our own reality. They may be happening just a few millime-ters away from us, but we cannot be aware of them because their energetic frequencies are unperceived by us.

Accessing Alternate Dimensions:The human soul, which is an integral part of the immense universal energy field, has a subconscious connection with different forms of being. As humans, we are “trapped” in a physical body that limits our large vision of the universe. Consciously, we can only be aware of aspects that can be absorbed by our five senses. People who developed their sixth sense can access knowledge which is beyond the physical existence.

According to modern physics, the pas-sage between our dimension and parallel realities is in the form of “black holes” or

“worm tunnels” that exist in some mysteri-ous locations in the universe. Mankind has vague memories (or traces of memories) of other existing dimensions, and there is an ongoing quest to overcome the limitations of the mind and access the large picture.

Humans are able to connect with alternate realities in some conditions:

As our souls leave our bodies during sleep, they can access higher realms and get recharged and reset. According to the Kabbalah, the sleep process is considered as some form of death, when the soul de-parts from the body. Practicing Jews have a special morning prayer to thank God for returning the soul back into the body upon awakening.

In deep trance meditation, people can silence their ever active minds and con-nect with the eternal universal love energy. Psychics and metaphysical practitioners, whose sixth sense is developed, can access knowledge through deep trance as well. At death, the spirit leaves the physical body and moves on to a higher level of conscious-ness, which is limitless. In fact, this is the ultimate transformation into another dimen-sion - a total change of form. As for “regu-lar” living people, reading fantasy literature or watching science fiction movies may open their imagination to ideas and possibili-ties which are beyond “normal” existence.

Where Can You See Parallel Worlds? Art got the answer: Surreal art is character-ized by images that come directly from the subconscious mind. As known in metaphys-ics, the subconscious mind is the medium through which our souls are connected to universal wisdom. Universal wisdom is an infinite pool that contains all information and endless possibilities.

Page 33: February issue 2015

33 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

The art world, especially the surreal, vision-ary and fantasy genres, suggest a glimpse into the vast range of possibilities that exist beyond normal human perception. Some sur-realist artists are, in fact, sort of clairvoyants who absorb images from alternate forms of being. According to social perception, they “capture” visuals through channeling.

The artistic Simulation:Look at Salvador Dali’s paintings “The Dream” and “The Temptation of St. An-thony”: What if his vivid surreal imagination” describes an alternate reality where such scenes take place?

Rene Magritte’s painting “The human Con-dition” is a clear illustration of one plane (The image on the canvas) merges with an-other (The actual landscape in the back). Magritte’s famous “Chateau des Pyrenees” depicts a huge rock floating over the ocean, with a castle built on its top.

Page 34: February issue 2015

34 THEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

Well – everybody knows that a huge boul-der cannot float in the air – but can this scene be possible in a dimension that has a different set of physical laws?

Remedios Varo, a Mexican surrealist, is a ter-rific example of a clairvoyant artist. Her paint-ings depict a series of fantasy scenes that seem to be taken from alternate worlds: Look at her painting “The Alchemist” and see real-ity extending from one dimension to another.

Another member of this group of artists is Orna ben-Shoshan, a fascinating self-taught visionary artist. Her paintings origi-nate from a mysterious, far-out world and reveal colorful esoteric occurrences,in which creatures and objects interact in unpredict-able ways. The metaphysical atmosphere in her creations draws the viewer into a journey through alternative realities. As a life-long student of Kabbalah and mysti-cism, Orna has always been fascinated with the gateway points – the borders between different dimensions. Her artwork reflects a wide range of potentials, as she explores the different aspects of transformation from one form of existence to another. Here are a few examples that illustrate her inductions: In her painting “shedding Heavy Traces”, two figures are carrying a person whose up-per body emerges from an open carrier. The person is on his way “out” of this world – he is on the verge of leaving this realm of existence (death) and progresses into an-other dimension. His lower body has already disappeared into what can be interpreted as “nothingness”. On his departure he drops away heavy packages that symbolize the material load he had to carry throughout his life in the physical realm. The painting “Four Twin Souls” depicts four figures, that exist in one dimension, and being spiritually fed by their clone entities that live in another

dimension. Orna’s painting “Departure” shows a woman carrying a pod, approaching a staircase through which she will embark on her travel into another dimension. The angel at the top of the staircase unveils the passage to her.

In her painting “The Elevator” two figures are carried in a wooden box over a hal-lucinated plane. Their faces are covered so that they can’t see the journey’s track.

A winged figure carries the cargo through air. This is a scene that deals with meta-physical transformation – as the passen-gers in the box are being moved from one level of consciousness to the other.

Travelling through air, diffusing from one plane into another, riding a floating struc-ture, opening a door to the void, climb-ing a staircase, or dissolving landscapes - there are many possible ways shown by art as a means to pass into alternate dimen-sions. If you are curious about the worlds beyond – this is the place to see them.

As the human memories of parallel life forms fade when a soul is reincarnated into a new physical body, glimpses of mem-ory may appear in our minds time and again, for a fraction of a second. Cap-ture these visions! These moments of en-lightenment come to remind us that our earthly life is just one of infinite possibili-ties in the mighty universe that created us.

People have been asking questions about the nature of God since the dawn of humankind. And even though our world has seen many advances in both science and technology over the last few centuries, disagreements about God still, to this day, lead to ethnic and religious warfare, hatred, exploitation, the suppression of women, and the debasing of human dignity. Many religions have created rituals and dogmas that separate one from the other, and they often cling to the belief that only they have the answers, the correct explanations, the one truth. But are any of them actually right? Can the true nature of God ever truly be understood or explained?

Andean Cat

Page 37: February issue 2015

37 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

The Andean cat is said to be the rarest and least known of all cat species. It is about the size of a domestic cat but can appear larger because its long fur and tail. Its coat is striped and spotted and silvery-gray in color, and its underparts are paler in color. The fur is very fine, thick, and soft, and the tail is pale and marked with nine dark-brown bands. The ears are gray in color. Adults grow up to 24 inches long on average and reach a shoulder height of about 14 inches. The average body weight of adults is 12 lbs.

Andean cats are found high in the Andes Mountain range in South America. They have been spotted in Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Bolivia in rocky treeless terrain, where the conditions are very dry, windy, and cold. Very little is known about its social and repro-ductive behavior, but it is believed that the species is solitary. Diet may consist of small mammals such as chinchillas and viscachas, reptiles, and small birds.

Very few Andean cats have been observed in the wild and none are found in captivity. The current population status is unknown. Threats to the species may include poach-ing by locals, and some cats are killed in Chile and Bolivia because of local supersti-tions. Currently, the species is being studied by the Andean Cat Alliance and Conser-vation International with the use of radio-telemetry.

The Andean cat is considered to be one of the most endangered wild cats in the world and perhaps the rarest South American felid, and yet is one of the least known cat species. Its similarities to the more common South American pampas cat (Leopardus colocolo) have made studying this species even more difficult. There have been only a handful of observations of the Andean cat in the wild, few photographs taken and just a few museum have been preserved. It is described as a small but sturdy cat, with long ash-grey fur ...

Skin Care for Better Home Body Detoxby John Khu

Page 39: February issue 2015

39 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

There are many ways that we can tell that we might be in sore need of a detoxification. When you feel tired, mentally foggy all the time, snappish and irritable, and simply un-interested in anything that you might have to do, you’ll find that there might be more at work than simply feeling a little bit listless. When your body has become too laden with toxins to function at its best, you’ll find that there are several body detox tips that you can use. Throughout our day to day lives, we will end up putting toxins our body, and so it makes sense that we should make it regular efforts to get them out again. Believe it or not, good skin care is one of the most important as-pects of making sure that your body does not carry too many toxins, so take a look to find out how taking care of your skin can be an instrumental part of the whole body detox.

When you think about it, it makes sense. Our skin is our first line of defense against the various toxins that enter our bodies, and it make sense that our skin would retain some of the effects of these toxins and require attention during a total body detox. Our pores can become clogged up with oils that still hold toxins, dead skin sells that can become infected and so much more. Because of this, it is important that we keep our skin as healthy as possible, and when you do that, you’ll find that a dry skin rub can be an enormous help when you are considering your best body detox op-tions.

When doing a dry skin rub during a whole body detox, all you need to to do is get a long handled bristle brush that will allow you to brush your entire body. Start with your feet and move up your body, and

when you get to your chest, brush towards the heart. Cover every inch of your body in this fun natural body detox act, and make sure that it lasts at least ten minutes. This can help clear up your skin as well as im-prove your circulation, making it a great addition to your body detox program. When you are looking towards bet-ter skin care, make sure that you break a sweat! Sweat will carry toxins out of your body very quickly and efficient-ly, but due to the fact that many people have sedentary lifestyle, wear synthet-ic clothes that do not let them sweat, or wear too many lotions that actually block the pores, sweat can be made less effective than it should be. Take some time to exercise to get rid of toxins and take a hot shower afterwards; remember that a good body detox system is one that can make you feel quite good.

One of the most enjoyable ways to detox and to take care of your skin is to do a skin rub. After you have finished brushing your skin, take some time to vigorously rub your body with a pre-made mixture of castor oil and olive oil. Embracing the Spiritual Lifeby Sara Chetkin

Nowadays, many of us consider ourselves to be on a spiritual path. We idolize teach-ers. We attend seminars. We study Bud-dhism or Yogic traditions. We try our hand at mysticism. We learn about guides and past lives, about energy work and mani-festation. Maybe we recite affirmations or practice Ho’oponopono. Whatever it is we do to enrich this area of our lives, we always want to make sure that it is produc-ing a desired outcome. For example, has your spirituality lead you to be more honest with yourself? Are you digging deep within and uncovering the untoward, the hidden, the “dark” side? Because if you are not getting in there and taking a good, honest look at your own agendas and negative belief systems, all of the guides, past life regressions, readings, healing sessions and weekend retreats won’t do a thing. Sure, you’ll feel a nice high for a few days, maybe even a week, but if you haven’t done the real work, inevitably you will crash.

In embracing a spiritual life, it is paramount

that we embrace all aspects of the self. In order to progress, we must become brutally honest explorers of the inner world, and look to ourselves without blind-ers, gathering the courage to forgive and to heal. Until you lay bare your entire being, the beautiful along with the imperfect, you will never fully experience your true nature. We are too distracted by the trappings of the personality to look beyond it, but if you develop your spiritual life around the idea that you must know yourself at any cost, you will soon experience the inconsistency and the unreliability of the personality. You will prove to yourself how treacherous it is, and you will begin to turn from it and look for reconnection to the true you, the God-force contained within you. Our interest in this powerful force, this other part of us, will grow as our interest in our thoughts and feelings (our person-alities) wanes. When we come to this threshold, something marvelous can hap-pen, but first lets discuss this bigger part of us.

Page 42: February issue 2015

42 THEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

Here’s the thing. We are pure conscious-ness. At every moment, the universal en-ergy we call God is coursing through us all. We are all blossoming out of this life-force. It is us: inseparable from us. We do not consciously experience this phe-nomenon because we have strayed ever so far and ever so deeply into the maze of self-awareness (think Garden of Eden and the tree of knowledge). Eve didn’t wake up; she and Adam (i.e. you and me) fell into a forgetful state. We separated out of the oneness and “awoke” into du-ality. Now we are self-aware. We believe we exist as individuals, and so we feel separate from God. Unfortunately, feeling separate from God tends to bring about some self-image issues. Thus, we’re in the midst of a worldwide inferiority com-plex, and we’ve devised many elaborate and beautiful schemes to belie our per-ceived inferiority. We’re like two year olds trying to get God’s attention:

“Look at me, look at me! See how powerful I am? See how beautiful I can be and how good and kind and talented, too!?”

The problem is God’s not listening…be-cause there is no God. Not like that any-way. There’s no being separate from us that lords over us, watching our every move. God is just consciousness: non-judgmental, unbiased, omnipresent and infinite. Joseph P. Whittel describes it well: God is an “impersonal power, everywhere present, manifesting as life, through all forms of organized matter.”

We are all expressions of this imper-sonal power.

The reason it feels so good to get in touch with this incredible energy is not that it

is so loving and embracing. It feels good because we are reconnecting with our-selves. That’s your love you’re feel-ing. That’s your power you are kneeling before. It’s you! Yes, you are awesome-ly powerful, loving, forgiving, infinite and divine. If you want to experience that Self more often, then you have to stop focusing on being spiritual – whatever that means these days - and start working on miring yourself in a passionate and all encom-passing exploration of self. At first, it will be beautiful and very healing. You will feel incredible highs and you will confront un-fathomable lows. It will be a true journey of self- discovery. As you learn to take re-sponsibility for your thoughts and feelings, you will enjoy a strong sense of empower-ment. You will start to appreciate the bril-liant organization of life.

However, the reason I said “mire your-self” is that this kind of exploration should eventually leave you so confused and so utterly frustrated with the endless flow of your thoughts and the silliness of your many feelings that you will naturally be-gin to ask yourself what is the point to all of this digging? Is it leading anywhere? You will begin to wonder why you cannot finally heal it all. Where is the end to all of your negativity? You have less of it now. You have a deeper understanding of it, but it seems endless. And it is! It’s end-less because you are still in a dualistic mindset. There is good and there is bad in endless and equal proportion.

If you are truly on a journey, you will want to progress even beyond this stage of self-knowing. That sense of empowerment I spoke of is a plateau – a good one, but a plateau nonetheless.

Page 43: February issue 2015

43 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

At this point, perhaps out of sheer despera-tion, you will begin searching not for the things that make you different from others but for the things that connect you. You will long for a daily experience of that sublime joy that comes from reconnecting to yourself. You will want to feel this joy in your relationships, too. So, you will begin searching for the common energy that flows through all of us. Now you are on your way to living a life of wakefulness and remembrance, seeing beyond the veil of your own faulty percep-tions.

This is true spirituality. First, know thyself. Then come full circle and reconcile the experience of separation with the truth of non-duality. We can bring together these opposing ideas and create a new under-standing of ourselves. We can enjoy the many, while maintaining full awareness of the one.

To begin this path, seek teachers that en-courage self-exploration. Seek classes that draw your attention inward. Stay grounded and vow to uncover and heal the most hid-den parts of your psyche. This is the fast-est way to understanding. Enlightenment begins and ends with you. No one else can get you there. So, let every step on the path be toward your true nature, the God within you. Do not stray from that path, and you’ll avoid a whole lot of silliness and mis-steps. The answers are within you. All you need to do is look. Be honest. Be fearless. Be willing to take full responsibility for your thoughts and feelings (heck, for everything around you!), and you will go far.

Boost Your Energy with

Whole Body Vibration

by Becky Chambers

44 THEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

Page 45: February issue 2015

COULD YOU USE MORE ENERGY, FOCUS, AND MOTIVATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHAT IF THAT BOOST IN EN-ERGY AND MOOD ALSO CAME WITH STRONGER BONES AND MUSCLES, INCREASED FAT LOSS, AND GREAT-ER FLEXIBILITY, BALANCE, AND CO-ORDINATION—ALL IN JUST TEN MIN-UTES A DAY?

It’s not a fantasy. Whole Body Vibration (WBV) is a revolutionary exercise system that gives you the benefits of an hour of conventional weight training in ten minutes, and this mind, body, and spirit exercise system has numerous effects that can in-crease energy.

WBV was developed in Russia forty years ago to counteract the effects of zero gravity on their cosmonauts and as a train-ing method for their Olympic athletes. It increases testosterone, which is linked to greater energy for men and women, as well as heightened libido and sexual per-formance. Circulation also improves, which provides more nutrients and oxygen to all cells.

WBV also causes serotonin levels in the brain to increase rapidly. This is the same neurotransmitter that antidepressant drugs such as Prozac target. High levels of serotonin improve sleep and promote a relaxed, happy, confident state of mind in which people are likely to be more active—nothing saps your energy like depres-sion and lack of sleep. Norepinephrine (another neurotransmitter) also increases with WBV, giving the body sudden energy in times of stress.

Hundreds of my clients, and thousands of users around the world, report rapid and

dramatic improvements in mood, energy, and sleep within days of beginning vibra-tion. They also report increased motiva-tion, focus, and activity levels, which is why Tony Robbins, the well-known self-help author and motivational speaker, recom-mends and uses WBV.

I teach a six-week WBV class, and this is how a woman, who had been strug-gling with chronic fatigue and depression for twenty years, described WBV: “Af-ter each session, I was amazed with the surge of energy I would get—energy I hadn’t had for years—and I found I could suddenly focus on tasks I had been strug-gling with. After the first session, my ener-gy lasted a day or two. The second week, the morning after class I jumped out of bed for the first time in twenty years, plus my mind was clear and focused. By the fifth session, my energy lasted for an entire week. I’m so glad I took Becky’s class—I love the way I feel.”

To get the best results from WBV, it is important to understand how powerful it is, including its detoxification effects. Like any workout, but more intensively, WBV stimulates the action of your lymphatic system, one of the body’s primary natural detoxification systems. But too much de-toxification too quickly can make you feel worse rather than better, so even though the vibration feels gentle and pleasant, use caution! Start slowly and increase slowly; many people will do best starting with just one minute on a gentle, low-power machine.

In fact, in my classes, I usually have people start at one minute and each week increase one more minute. So the woman leaping out of bed for the first time in twenty years after her second WBV session was only

45 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

Page 46: February issue 2015

on the machine for two minutes. Used prop-erly WBV can have dramatic positive results.

WBV also affects your chi energy. Ev-ery time you are on a vibration plate, your neurons fire, shooting electromagnetic, or chi, energy through your body and brain. Energy will flow into and through your energy meridians and chakra energy cen-ters, and this will send energy into all areas of your being: body, mind, and spirit.

Norman Shealy, MD, PhD, founder of the American Holistic Medical Association and world-famous neurosurgeon, is an enthu-siastic proponent of WBV. In his review of my new book Whole Body Vibration: The Future of Good Health, he says: “Tes-tosterone and growth hormones increase and cortisol (stress hormone) decreases significantly! WBV helps reverse osteopo-rosis, increases leg strength, decreases fat in muscles, and improves bone den-sity of spine and legs. It is equal to resis-tance training in improving leg strength and performance. And, most of all, it is energiz-ing!”

WHERE GREAT VISIONARY MINDS COME TOGETHER TO CREATE, TO GROW, AND TO FLOURISH

Page 55: February issue 2015

55 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

The Higher Connections Network (HCN) is different from any other network you have encountered; a place where successful and like-minded people come together to release their creativity, achieve their goals, and ad-vance gracefully into the next chapter of their lives and their careers. HCN offers a power-ful positive milieu where people can meet, grow, learn, work, rest, give and receive. The Higher Connections Network is based on the premise that given the proper environment, assistance and support, each individual can grow, create and nourish at a much higher level that what they can do on their own

The Higher Connections concept evolved organically through the personal journey of its founder, Ashkan Tabibnia, as he was navigating his way through a series of successful ventures and life experiences. Each of these endeavors was in its own way satisfying and fulfilling, yet they always left him hungry for something more. Where was the joy? Where was the fun? Where was that mysterious missing something that would pull it all together and make everything “worth It” In the end? These were the questions that kept nagging at him, never fully answered, yet never fully out of mind as he scurried on to the next series of goals, tasks and deadlines. Gradually and eventually out of the mist and business of life came the clarity and vision that had previously eluded him. From that vision, Higher Connections was born. If you have experienced some measure of success in your life, you, too, have probably asked yourself similar questions. Each of us has our own phras-ing, but it goes something like this… who am I, really? What’s it all about?, Where am I going? and How am I going to get there? These are the kinds of questions that Higher Connections Network is designed to help you answer.

Perhaps you have mastered some aspects of your life, like a trade, a business, your rela-tionships or family, yet somehow it feels out of balance. Or maybe you have enjoyed great success but lack a sense of purpose. Or you sense that you have come as far as you can on your own but could go further still by having a support system, interacting with others or working with a team. Maybe you have developed some skills, talents or systems that you believe can help others become more successful. Either way, Higher Connections Network may have what you need to take that next step. Find out how Higher Connec-tions and any of its twelve divisions can help get you where you want to go….HIGHER!

CREATION

Page 57: February issue 2015

We are all creators, and we are all the cre-ated. There is nothing BUT creation. The formless energy some call God, Love, The Great Unseen, etc., IS THAT...IS CRE-ATION!

We are working now within the 5th dimen-sion, in other words, the New Earth is here now, but currently most are behaving as if they are still 3rd dimensional, which is due to fear. As long as we feel fear, we are block-ing the experience of The New Earth. It is HERE NOW; however we only see what we want to see, so to speak.

Visualization helps bring it to us, but there MUST be a FEELING of contentment, peace, and most of all Love, free of judg-ment and condemnation. Only through that state of BEING, does the New Earth appear in our reality. In other words, we must ‘match the vibrational frequency’ of the New Earth, and it will appear. This was stated by Albert Einstein, which is: “Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality; there can be no other way; this is not philosophy...this is physics!”

God IS CREATION, and WE ARE THAT! We are therefore, the creation and the creator, and what we feel and say and think DOES manifest. It may not appear immediately, as we are vibrating a 3rd dimensional vibration match-up, so to speak, but if you’ll notice, what you do think and feel happens faster than it ever has before! And the reason is because the ‘veil’ to enter that frequency/reality is becoming thinner, as we are align-ing with that new dimension.

We are the Energy that creates. Gratitude is literally saying, “I have it,” (for why else would you be grateful unless you did?) That statement moves electrons and atoms, and

protons in to an alignment to produce the situations to give you WHATEVER it is you are feeling and thinking.....

...so, once again, FEEL GOOD, for what-ever you feel will become your reality; your creation is always up to you. No truer words were said, than the expression, “If it’s to BE, it’s up to ME!”

Blessings!

Shifting the Scope of Your Faith from Believing to Knowing

By Rasha

Page 61: February issue 2015

61 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

IN A JOURNEY TO ONENESS—THE LONG-AWAITED SEQUEL TO THE UN-DERGROUND SPIRITUAL CLASSIC, ONENESS— DIVINE MESSENGER, RASHA, TAKES US ALONG ON A SEV-EN-YEAR ODYSSEY THROUGH THE LABYRINTHS OF CONSCIOUSNESS, AS SHE SHARES THE INCREDIBLE STORY OF HER OWN SPIRITUAL JOURNEY. WITH THE PROFOUND WISDOM OF ONENESS (THE DIVINE PRESENCE OFTEN REFERRED TO AS “GOD”) TO LIGHT THE WAY, A JOURNEY TO ONENESS TAKES US FOR AN AUTHENTIC RIDE ON THE ROLLER-COASTER OF SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION AND GIVES US THE TOOLS TO RADICALLY CHANGE OUR LIVES—AND TRANS-FORM OUR WORLD.

Rich with Divine insight and eye-open-ing metaphysical concepts, A Journey to Oneness speaks directly to the inner quest of each of us. The loving guidance of Oneness, woven throughout the story, awakens the sacred sense of Divine con-nectedness that waits to be discovered within us all. The simple act of reading becomes a life-changing journey of the heart that the reader shares on an inti-mate, personal level.

Here, in one woman’s unforgettable spiri-tual adventure, is the key to the mysterious momentum of change suddenly unfold-ing within the depths of each of us. Page by page, A Journey to Oneness takes us hand in hand to common ground: the extraordinary experience of Oneness—

the God within us all.

Here is a powerful excerpt from A Jour-ney to Oneness: “As the seasons in the mountains of North-ern New Mexico began to change once more, I began to see the symbolism in that shift in the colorful evidences of tran-sition that beckoned to me everywhere I looked. On a day-to-day basis, I too had begun to change in ways that were subtle and often nearly imperceptible. But the cumulative effect was undeniable. There was no doubt that something life-altering was underway. And I knew, at a level that could not be questioned, that the mo-mentum of change surging within me had somehow reached critical mass—and was now unstoppable.

Oneness punctuated that realization with a passionate dissertation on the monu-mental changes transpiring on a global level, and the part each of us continues to play in its co-creation.

Oneness speaks:

This is Oneness. Many will taste of this sense of connectedness. For, that is the nature of what is to transpire within the sacred inner Self of those who have counted themselves as present in these times. They have come for the experience of awakening. They have volunteered to experience the full gamut of possibility in one physical lifetime, so that they might cull the experience of sacred knowingness from the complexity of the dramas of phys-ical incarnation.

Page 62: February issue 2015

62 THEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

Shifting the scope of one’s faith from belief to the experiential and irrefutable These times, and the conditions that de-fine it and set it apart from the far distant worlds of incarnate memory harbored within the hearts of these souls, present that possibility. For, within the flux of the shifting momentum that serves to struc-ture your world, lie the components of that possibility. The monumental acceleration of the energies that build within you and around you are calculated to catapult you from the conditions that define the frame-work of recorded history to a world that continues to be structured and re-struc-tured in the ongoing Now moment.

The changes you have experienced in your own lifetime are ones that, in times past, might have taken generations. And within the context of those blatant differ-ences, lies the proof of the essence of Divinity that has thus far eluded most in-carnate consciousness since time imme-morial. The opportunity afforded by these times is the possibility to shift the scope of one’s faith in the nature of their Divine connection from the belief-based struc-tures that emanate from mind to the realm of the experiential—and irrefutable.

Withdrawing from the need for external validationThere is no room for inner debate over what you know you have tasted with the essence of your own inner Being. With that recognition, comes the understanding of the pointlessness of debate with oth-ers who may or may not have shared that experience. Whether or not they agree or disagree is irrelevant. And each will have the sense of wanting to retreat into the sanctity of his own precious connection

and to allow those who continue to focus on the need for validation from others to do so. Many will begin to withdraw their energies from the hierarchical structures that seek to dominate the spirits and command the resources of others. For, the proponents of these structures, themselves, hunger silently from within for even a taste of the experience that they feel driven to force down the throats of others, in theory.

The authenticity of that experience does not require the consensus agreement of others in the flock within which you may once have counted yourself as present. It requires none of it—none of the struc-ture, none of the ritual, none of the recipes for redemption that have been served up with elaborate fanfare by those who have seized the opportunity inherent in the spiri-tual thirst of others.

Transcending traditions of spiritual allegiance based on belief and embrac-ing Divine knowingness based on first-hand experience These times offer the possibility to tran-scend the realm of faith based on sec-ondhand experience. These times do not require you to cast your vote based on the spiritual affiliations of your ances-tors. These times do not require the com-mitment of your heart unless your heart is truly in it. You are not being asked to place blind faith in a mode of understand-ing based on events said to have hap-pened thousands of years back—if your own passion has not been kindled by it. These times afford you the opportunity to see for yourself. And then, not simply to believe it—but to know it.

Page 63: February issue 2015

63 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM ♥ February 2015

That is why you have come. That is why you have ventured from the comfort of your own “home” into the wild landscapes this incarnation has provided. This is why you find yourself in a world that no longer seems to make sense. And that is why you look around you and wonder, silently or otherwise, if the world has simply gone mad. For, the seeming senselessness of much of the drama that swirls around you is the pre-cursor to the purging that these circumstances cry-out for—vibrationally—and why the inevitability of change is the order of the day. You have come as the witness—and you have come as a participant. You have come to co-create the world of wonder that looms on the horizon. And you have come to taste, firsthand, the physical expression of an experience that defies definition and structure. Each of you will confront it and embrace it in your own way. And each of you will weather the storms, both internal and external, that that birth-ing into full awareness requires. You have not come to read about it in books. You have come to help etch those understand-ings indelibly upon your own compendium of consciousness—the volumes of memo-ry that travel with you, long after the pages have withered.”

In 2002, I received a phone call from a woman with severe environmental and food allergies. She’d been essentially house-bound for over three years, and could only eat five different foods. She desperately needed help.

She and her partner found a “scent–free” bed and breakfast, and traveled to come see me. She reminded my secretary for me to remove any candles, incense, per-fumes, etc. I chuckled and told my secre-tary to reassure Vanessa that everything would be fine. When Vanessa arrived at my office, I had not altered my usual rou-tine. I had showered with my lavender soap, and the office had its typical incense smell. Nothing was altered because of her fears.

She never said a word about the scents rolling through the office. I made her com-fortable in a chair, made her a cup of tea, and we discussed her life as it was current-ly. What were her desires and goals?

Then we began a Cellular Cleansing. I asked her to imagine walking down some stairs, and she relaxed deeper and deep-er. I was actually putting her into a state of light hypnosis. After two hours of visu-alization, cleansing up to age five for her cellular memory, she and her partner left my office. They went to a restaurant where cigarette smoke lingered in the air. She ordered pizza and chocolate cake, foods she had not eaten for years.

The next day, we continued our work, fin-ishing up with healing pools. This enabled her to forgive, to receive Unconditional Love for herself, and heal herself with blessed water. All the while, she remained in a light state of hypnosis, using NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and my

energy. Everyone gets homework, and so I instructed her on what to do for the next thirty days. While she still had to do more visualization when she got home, she was instantly better— eating more foods she never dreamed she’d be able to eat. She even planned to travel to Brazil via air-plane—again, something she’d ruled out for her life.

Vanessa made her trip to Brazil six months after her Cellular Cleansing, and is now a guide to the Casa, which means that she brings in people from all over the world to accept healings from John of God. She’s also a Certified Associate Practitioner of Healing Within.

Remember: if you seem to be allergic to everything, you’re really out of balance. Allergies, whether environmental or food, are learned behaviors. When you have an allergic reaction, your instant thought is, “Oh no, I’m allergic to this.” Your body then takes that information and continues to make truth of it for the rest of your life, un-less your release it with an active vibration.

Most people don’t consider what their emo-tional status was twenty-four hours prior to an allergy event. Their bodies responded to emotions, not smells or specific foods. It doesn’t matter what is out there. For example, my sons understood, growing up, that if one person had the flu, it didn’t mean everyone else would catch it. When I feel flu symptoms coming on, I lie down and say, “Okay, where in my body do I need to work?” I look at how I’ve been feel-ing emotionally, and I thank my body for letting me know. I then move the energy through my body, just as you can do with the ColorWorks, and go through the flu in one hour. I again thank my body for making me aware of something I needed to deal with.

Apply the principles of healing to your work, but remember to respect your cli-ents’ boundaries, as well as your own. Honor yourself and enforce those bound-aries. Give yourself permission to do this work, and get verbal permission to work on someone else.
