Our Catholic Appeal will take place Feb. 13th and 14th, 2021. This is a good time to give you a financial up-date of our parish. Right below you will see a summary of a report from the Finance Council and I want to share with you to be transparent. Understandably, offertory is lower than a year ago by $326, 831. This is no surprise since our county has been affected greatly by the economic effects of the current pandemic. However, the numbers also tell a very inspiring story of our parishioners making sure that, even in these difficult times, they still help support their parish with utmost generosity. Also, from our part we have made cuts by lowering our expenses in as many areas as possible. Holy Redeemer is here to serve the needs of our community. We are expanding services as people return to in-person attendance of masses. We are grateful for all your support during this time. It is important to note that Holy Redeemer has been here through two world wars and the 1918 pandemic. We will continue to be here. If you are able to increase your financial contributions, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are unable at this time, please pray for Holy Redeemer! Your continued support allows the parish to continue its mission of spreading the Gospel and serving those in need.

Su ejemplo es elocuente. En sus enseñanzas trazó un cuadro completo de la humanidad auténtica. Nos mostró cómo se llega a ser hombre: fundamentalmente, a partir de Dios, y sólo viviendo en relación con Dios. Dios no es alguien desconocido y lejano: nos muestra su rostro en Jesús. Estar en relación con Él incluye hablarle y escucharle, para lo cual se requiere la discreción que es esencial en una relación de amor. La Escritura nos dice que Dios se dirige a cada uno llamándolo por su nombre: el amor de Dios por cada uno de nosotros es totalmente personal y lleva en sí ese misterio de lo que es único y no se puede divulgar ante los hombres. —Esta discreción esencial de mi oración no excluye la "dimensión comunitaria": el mismo "Padrenuestro" es una oración en primera persona del plural, y sólo entrando a formar parte del "nosotros" de los hijos de Dios puedo traspasar los límites de este mundo y elevarme hasta Dios.

Nuestro Llamado Católico será el 13 y 14 de febrero de 2021. Este es un buen momento para darles una actualización financiera de nuestra parroquia. Queriendo ser transparente ante ustedes quiero compartir a continuación un resumen de un informe del Consejo de Finanzas. Comprensiblemente, el ofertorio (ofrenda) está más bajo que hace un año por una diferencia de $326, 831. Esto no es una sorpresa ya que nuestro condado se ha visto muy afectado por los efectos económicos de la pandemia actual. Sin embargo, las cifras tam-bién cuentan una historia muy inspiradora de nuestros feligreses que, incluso en estos tiempos difíciles, siguen ayudando a mantener su parroquia con la máxima generosidad. Además, por nuestra parte hemos hecho recortes redu-ciendo nuestros gastos en todas las áreas posibles. Holy Redeemer está aquí para servir a las necesidades de nuestra comuni-dad. Estamos ampliando los servicios a medida que el pueblo vuelve a asistir a las misas en persona. Estamos agradecidos por todo su apoyo durante este tiempo.
