Udaipur, the capital of the former princely state of Mewar isa beautiful city in Rajasthan, India. Udaipur city is alsoreferred to as the "Venice of the East", the "Most RomanticCity of India" and the "Kashmir of Rajasthan". Udaipur the“City of Lakes” is one among the most romantic and mostbeautiful cities of India. The city of Dawn, Udaipur is a lovelyland around the azure water lakes, hemmed in by the lushhills of the Aravalis. A vision in white drenched in romanceand beauty, Udaipur city of Rajasthan state is a fascinatingblend of sights, sounds and experiences - an inspiration forthe imagination of the poets, painters and writers. Udaipur'skaleidoscope of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardensand narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavor ofheroic past, epitomizing valor and chivalry. Their reflectionin the placid waters of the Lake Pichhola is an enticing sight.
Udaipur is a popular tourist destination in India. The lakes, palaces and lively workspaces and culture attract foreignand domestic visitors. It is a favourite marriage destination. Many celebrities, including film stars, business families, politicians chose Udaipur to hold marriage ceremonies andparties. Udaipur have three interconnected lakes - the FatehSagar Lake, the Lake Pichhola and the smaller SwaroopSagar Lake; along with forts, palaces, temples, gardens, mountains and narrow lanes lines withdrawn with stalls, relives the reminisces of a heroic past, valor and chivalry.Udaipur city is easily accessible from all the major cities ofIndia including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.
The Post-Graduate Department of Mathematics andStatistics was established in the year 1964 under thestewardship of eminent mathematicians the then Hon'bleVice-Chancellor Prof. G. S. Mahajani and Head of theDepartment Professor S. P. Kaushik along with theestablishment of University of Udaipur which was renamedas Mohanlal Sukhadia University in the year 1982.
OBJECTIVES
THRUST AREAS
The Fourier-Laplace transform converts a linear constantcoefficient Partial Differential Equation P(D) = f on P to anequation P (x) u^ = f^, for the transforms u^, f^ of u and frespectively, so that solving P(D) = f, just amount to divisionby polynomial P (x). The practical application was suspectand ill understood, however, until theory of distributionprovided a basis for a logically consistent theory. Thereafter, it becomes the Fourier-Laplace method for solvinginitial-boundary problem for standard PDE. The technique ofpseudo-differential operator extends the Fourier-Laplacemethod to cover PDE with variable coefficient and to applyto more general compact and non compact domains ormanifold with boundary. The theory of pseudo-differentialoperators has its roots in Physics, Engineering, andMathematics.
Main Objective of the workshop is to provide ampleopportunities to the Indian researchers/ scientists forcollaborating with other experts and to motivate the Indianresearchers to work on various aspects of Analysis andDifferential Equations, which have applications in variousbranches of Mathematics, Engineering, Astronomy,Astrophysics, Medical Imaging etc. Plenary lectures, invitedtalks and paper presentations etc. will also provide anopportunity to the young researchers/academicians tointeract with the experts and resource persons from otherparts of the country in their respective fields and to updatethemselves with the latest in the fields of analysis anddifferential equations with their applications.
Functional analysis, Harmonic analysis, Wavelets, Frames,Differential geometry, Relativity and Cosmology,
and otherrelated concepts and applications.
d
Differential equations, Boundary value problems, Eigenvalueproblems with their application in Brain science
