Customer Update February 2018 Building a More Reliable Electric System Throughout 2018, Eversource will continue working to provide a more reliable electric system to New Hampshire customers, now and in the future. Late last fall, we celebrated the completion of the Merrimack Valley Reliability Project—a new transmission line, built in partnership with National Grid along existing rights-of-way in southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts, that is helping to enhance reliable service for customers throughout the region. This helicopter was used to string the new wires during construction, and to safely carry our workers from structure to structure. The Merrimack Valley Reliability project also had a positive impact on local economies by creating local jobs and by energizing local businesses. Eversource wants you and your family to stay safe this winter season. Whether you heat your home with oil, natural gas, coal or wood, please keep the following tips in mind:

• To reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, have your heating equipment “tuned up” each year.

• Make sure any vents on the outside of your home are completely unobstructed and able to properly ventilate, especially after a snow storm.

• Turn off space heaters when you leave a room or plan to sleep, and keep them at least three feet from flammable objects.

• Never use extension cords with space heaters and make sure the space heater’s cord isn’t damaged or frayed.

Please visit the ‘Safety’ section of Eversource.com for more safety tips.
