Winter is certainly here!
Weve already had our first
snow, and the meteorologist
is predicting another storm
next week! I wish I couldsay Im a cold-weather fan,
but it is lovely to see the
snow cover the ground every
year.
Elections were a success! I
am so pleased our new
group of officers and coordi-
nators. We have a fabulous
group of women that will do
an amazing job running our
chapter this coming year.
Thank you again to Eliza-
beth Haile and our Nomi-
nating Committee for or-
chestrating Elections and
pulling everything together.
I couldnt have done it with-
out you!
We have some great chapter
events coming your way!Back by popular demand,
were having another spa
evening on Tuesday, Febru-
ary 24 at PR at Partners
salon. You can choose from
a selection of services, relax
in the spa lounge with your
sisters and see the salons
Spring 09 Fashion Forecast
presentation. What a fun
evening! And, mark you
calendars for Founders Day
on March 21. Once again,we will celebrate Founders
Day with the women of Beta
Epsilon. I hope you can join
us for both events!
Finally, I am so pleased to
say that we are 95 members
strong! Thank you so much
to those that have paid your
dues. You are the sisters

We will once again welcome
the graduating seniors from
American University intoalumnae life at our joint
Founder's Day event. Your
contribution will purchase
an official senior installation
pin from Executive Offices
for a graduating senior at-
tending Founders Day.

gians from American Uni-
versity to celebrate one of
the most honored of DG's
ritual traditions - Founders
Day! This is an opportunity
to honor the three founders
and rededicate ourselves to
the ideas of the Fraternity.
Founders Day will be heldon Saturday, March 21 at
10:30 a.m. at Clyde's of Gal-
lery Place, which is located
at 707 7th Street NW and
the Gallery Place/
Chinatown Metro Station.
The cost is $30 for members
and $35 for non-members.
You can pay via PayPal on
installation and will be
paired with a senior for the
pinning ceremony. A special
table will be reserved for
sponsoring alumnae, posi-
tioned to facilitate discus-
sion with seniors as they
embark upon their journey
into the alumnae world.
The cost to sponsor a senior
is $5. You can pay via Pay-Pal on our website

2001 when she joined the
Book Club Special Interest
Group. Elizabeth has held
numerous positions in ourchapter, including VP Foun-
dation, Director of Colum-
nae for Beta Epsilon and
currently Director of Ritu-
als. Elizabeth did an out-
standing job as the Nomi-
nating Committee Chair this
year. She is certainly a dedi-
cated member. Shes a de-light to be around, and that
is one of the many reasons

Conference (NPC) are cele-
brating International Badge
Join the WDC chapter inparticipating in Wear Your
Badge (or any DG parapher-
nalia) Day!! On Monday,
March 2, show your DG
pride by wearing your badge
or any other item with Delta
Gamma insignia. Take note
of the name and email ad-
dress of any other DGs you
meet that day. Send the list
of names to
[email protected]. Themember meeting the most
DGs that day will be recog-
nized at Founders Day and
Day March 2, 2009, an an-nual event during which
sorority women everywhere
honor their Greek affilia-
tions by wearing their badge
or letters. This year NPC
will be joined by the women
of NAPA, NALFO, NMGC
and NPHC as all celebrate
their sorority experi-
ence. This year's theme is
"Keep Your Fraternal Ex-
perience Close to YourHeart."

Awareness Month. Help
support Delta Gamma
Foundation this month by
donating old eye glasses to
be recycled for children and
adults who can not afford
glasses. Only one in three
pairs of donated glasses can
be used because of scratched
lenses , so your donation is
important. Bring your do-
nation to either our Febru-
ary or March WDC Delta
Gamma chapter wide event
or contact Jen at vpfounda-

to set up a time for pick-up.
