SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENTCLOTHING & GEAR THAT PROTECT CPC LINEMEN ON THE JOB
Hard HatProtects head and face from falling objects. Also insulates head in case
of electrical contact. Safety GlassesProtects eyes from debris, flying objects and other hazards.
Rubber GlovesSpecialty rubber gloves are insulators, protecting the lineman up to 20,000 volts. The gloves are checked daily and tested regularly to ensure safety.
Climbing BeltSecurely supports the linemans weight when climbing. Also holds tools and supplies to free hands as necessary.
Work BootsLeather boots with extra arch support for climbing. A special shank in the sole keeps the climbing hooks from injuring the
linemans foot.
Gaffs (Hooks)Straps onto the lower leg. Used
for climbing poles when a bucket truck cannot be used.
Trousers or JeansTrousers or jeans made from 100%
natural fibers, such as denim, cotton duck or wool.
Rubber Glove ProtectorsLeather gloves worn over
insulated rubber gloves to reduce the chance of puncture
from sharp objects.
Flame Resistant (FR) ShirtIn case of accidental electric arc, the
flame resistant material is the linemans first defense against burns. These
shirts will not melt into the linemans skin like some synthetic fibers can.

Clearwater Power Company is unable to locate some former members of the cooperative who have capital credit refund checks. Please visit our website at www.clearwaterpower.com to view the list. If you know someone on the list, please call Clearwater Power toll-free at 1-888-743-1501. We will need their current address so we can mail them the refund check.
Clearwater Power is a not-for-profit electric cooperative. If you receive electric service from Clearwater Power Company, you are a member of the cooperative.
One of the many benefits of being a member is patronage capital credits. Patronage capital credits comes from margins, or money left over at the end of the year after all expenses have been paid. These margins are allocated to each members capital credits account based on how much electricity the member purchased that year. The allocated margins are retained and used by Clearwater Power for operating capital. This reduces the amount the cooperative has to borrow.
Each year the Board of Directors decides if the cooperative is financially able to pay prior years capital credits back to the members. When so approved, the cooperative refunds designated prior years capital credits, by check, to members who used electricity during the designated
years.To date, Clearwater Power has
refunded the capital credits on a first-in, first-out basis. We have refunded capital credits every year since 1988. Last October, over $360,000 was refunded to members that received electric service from us in 1987.
Even if you move and are no longer a member of the cooperative, the capital credits remain in your account. So be sure to update your address with Clearwater Power if you move so we can send future capital credit checks to the correct address.
