What You Need1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese,softened12 (3/4 inch thick) slices dayold brioche, challah or Hawaiian
bread1 c fresh raspberries*3 eggs (beaten)3/4 c half-and-half, light cream,or milk3 tbsp sugar1/2 tsp vanil la1 dash salt
pure maple syrup
Directions Spread cream cheese evenly
over one side of each slice ofbread.
Top half of the bread sliceswith raspberries. Placeremaining bread slices on top
to make sandwiches.
Combine beaten eggs, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla, and saltin shallow bowl. (For addedtaste, you might want to add afew drops of Grand Marnier)
Dip each sandwich in eggmixture, turning carefullyto coat both sides. Placesandwiches in greased15x10x1-inch baking pan.Bake in 425 degree oven 15minutes or until golden brown,turning once after 10 minutes.Serve warm with maple syrup,if desired.
