Religious Education Jesus calls us to take the commandments of love to the extreme and love with the intensity of God. “Love your enemies and do good to them and lend expecting nothing back; then your re-ward will be great, and you will be children of

the Most High, for He Himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merci-ful.” (Luke 6:35-36) Look at the Crucifix, this is not a sign of mediocre love. Jesus died on the cross for the just and the unjust. For those who wept under His Cross because of their deep love for Him and those who spat at Him and even cast a spear into his side. Jesus died on the Cross for all human beings. We are called to love with the intensity of Jesus dying on the Cross. Is this difficult? Of course it is! Is it impossible? Remember what Archangel Gabriel said to Blessed Virgin Mary, “For nothing will be impossible for God.” (Luke 1:36) Remember what Jesus said to his disciples, “For human beings this is impossi-ble, but not for God; for God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26) With the help of God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we can love our enemies, we can do good to those who hate us, bless those who curse us, and pray for those who mistreat us.

Youth Ministry All Youth (Grades 6-12) are invited to attend the North Side Youth Ministry meetings on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM at St Charles Parish located at 4515 N Alberta Street.

High School Youth from St Joseph Parish will gather on Sun-day evenings at 7:00 PM for a time of homework, praying together, and socializing.
