Bishops and priests will hear confessions. Bishop McManus will offer the Con-ference Mass. For a brochure, information or registra-tion, call Joan DeMasi at 508-929-4345. Adult tick-ets are $45 until March 11th, afterwards $60. Stu-dent tickets are always $30.

O L L Oh Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, Health of the Sick, Refuge of Sinners, Comforter of the Afflicted You know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings. Look upon me with mercy. By appearing in the Grotto of

Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a privileged sanc-tuary where you dispense your favors and already many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmi-ties, both spiritual and corporal. I come, therefore, with the most unbounded confi-dence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the grant of my requests. Through grati-tude of favors, I will endeavor to imitate your virtues, that I may one day share your glory. Amen

Please pray for those who are ill especially: Jacob DeCarolis, Deacon Jim Graves, Mary Lou Petty, Frank DeSorbo and Fr. Bob Bruso.

W , F 26 Many know of the traditions of fast-ing and abstaining during Lent, but we are also called to practice self-discipline and fast in other ways throughout the season. The giving of alms is another way to share God's

gifts—not only through the distribution of money, but through the sharing of our time and talents. As St. John Chrysostom reminds us: "Not to enable the poor to share in our goods is to steal from them and deprive them of life. The goods we possess are not ours, but theirs.” Below are a few simple daily prayers to help you on your Lenten journey.

S D P D L A W , F 26 : Lord, purify my heart and cleanse my soul, that I may forever remain close beside you. F 27 : “Choose life, then, so that you and your de-scendants may live." (Deuteronomy 30:19). F 28 : Holy Father, I pray to share my blessings with others. When I see the hungry, I will share my bread. When I encounter the poor, I will share my mon-ey. When I find the unclothed, I will share my cloak. F 29 : Lord, renew me like a watered garden, a fresh spring flowing with water, sweet to taste. F S L , M 1 : Lord, today is a day of celebration for we commemorate your resurrec-tion and triumph over death. Today we break our Len-ten fast, and we rest from our journey, but we do not forget. I pledge in the week ahead to keep my sacrifice and my devotion and to empty myself so I may fill my-self with your grace.
