What is UFOTOG II? Rik Johnson 3/14/15
B ack in October of last year the Colo-rado MUFON North Section received a surprise presentation by our very own Marc D’Antonio, right up here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
If any of you frequent our meeting you may find the surroundings in the below photo of Marc a bit familiar. We typically meet at the Poudre River Public library and that is where Marc gave the presentation I am about to summarize.
Marc D’Antonio is the Chief photo and video analyst for MUFON and has been involved
with MUFON since 1971. Not only does his extensive history equip him for this position, but he also owns his own CGI (computer generated imagery) company, FX Models, where they produce all sorts of models for the entrain-ment industry spanning just about every genre.

Special thanks to Rich Evans for this photo, and thinking ahead enough to take it.

STARSHIPS
Somewhere the ships are rising
Somewhere the ships are gone
Waiting beyond my knowing
Waiting beyond my song
Starlight and wonder hold them
Safe to a further shore
Rising by heaven's reason
Coming to earth no more
Someday you'll see them lifting
Silent beyond the sun
Starships of future crafting
Heaven be loved and won
Light blinds my halting singing
Waiting I don't know why
When shall our seed be winging
Silent into the sky

While producing CGI in the film industry, Marc met and started working with a Special Effects expert named Doug Trumbull. You will know Mr. Trumbull’s work if you have seen films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Blade Runner, to name a few.
It just so happens that Doug Trumbull is also a UFO enthusiast and had been working on a side project known as UFOTOG.
UFOTOG is an acronym combining the words UFO and Photogra-phy. For the UFOTOG project, they had equipped a Humvee ve-hicle with all of the hardware required to scan and absorb the night sky to capture any anomalies (see below photos).
If memory serves, I believe Marc said this vehicle cost around $1.2 Million dollars. It is fun and scien-tific looking for sure, and does what it does beautifully; however, the cost to distribute these vehicles across the country, or the world, is not sustainable. Enter UFOTOG II!
Marc states the purpose of UFOTOG II is, “A Scientific ap-proach to capturing Aerial Phenomena while providing real time analysis.” The key word here is analysis; of course, without bulk data your analysis is pretty limited. UFOTOG II seeks to resolve that problem.
D’Antonio went on to explain the sufferings of UFOlogy, which most of us are familiar with. In short, they are: a lack of high definition scientifically acquired data, lack of funding for research programs that are tuned to Earth (SETI & Exoplanet look off-world), the solid evidence in most cases is poor (scientifically speaking), and then you have the shenani-gans of hoaxers using the latest CGI technology. Top all of this with a healthy dose of the media pigeon holing legiti-mate organizations into the Tinfoil Hat club, and it is easy to see why UFOlogy suffers so.
UFOTOG’s system is an ‘all sky’ photographic system that can acquire data from multiple instruments at various wave-lengths. It is this work, and this system, which has poured the foundation for the UFOTOG II system. Where UFOTOG is an excellent mobile platform, it is costly and cannot be eve-rywhere at once. This is where UFOTOG II shines as the cost has been reduced significantly, and the units will be deployed across the country and—eventually—the world.
Colorado MUFON Page 5
Here is the spec (specification’s) list Marc laid out for this family of future devices.
Benefits: Small (size of a large serving dish), portable, easily deployed, networked in ‘real time.’
New System will contain instruments sensitive across the EM (Electro Magnetic) spectrum.
The planned instrument list is as follows:
Visual Camera—HD, stored on board each pallet as events transpire.
IR Camera—Infrared system to look into the deep IR for UFO phenomena occurring outside of visual spectrum.
UV Camera—Ultraviolet camera for recording higher energy events.
Gamma Ray Detector—Detect UFO events associated with movement that could include gamma ray emission.
X-Ray Detector—As above, for events associated with UFO movement.
Spectrometer—Record specific EM spectrum signatures to help identify objects.
Magnetic Anomaly Detector—Allows magnetic data capture.
EMF Detector—Provides additional measurements of changes to ambient electromagnetic fields.
The New System will contain a communications suite:
XBee Radios—Each unit will communicate with others in triad, and all will communicate with us via satellite and/or cellular.
Cellular—When feasible, units will communicate with our data center via cellular network for alert status events. Later phase will allow FTP (file transfer protocol) access and data download.
GPD Bounce—Borrowing SPOT technology we will use this process to send alerts when events occur.
SPOT: Used by hikers in remote areas, travelers, sailors, and more. GPS that is always available.
So what is the role of MUFON? If you are looking forward it is easy to see what a massive undertaking this is. Not only are you deploying hundreds, and eventually thousands, of these units, but you also need a team of people to maintenance them, check up on them, and—until the FTP system is in place—get out to them to retrieve the precious data.
To streamline this massive process it only makes sense to tap into a network of quality people already in place throughout the country: MUFON members and Field Investigators. State Directors and Field Investiga-tors can be trained to maintain units and deploy/retrieve data. This is mutually equitable because then MU-FON will be able to see and work with the data.
UFOTOG II is a large project, but it is obvious that Marc D’Antonio and Doug Trumbull have the resources and dedication to see it through. The future is exciting.

The Colorado MUFON Holiday party, though a bit delayed from mid December due to in-
clement weather, finally took place in the Ken Caryl area on January 10th. Our usual, annual guest speaker was none other
than MUFON co-founder, John Schuessler.
John highlighted noteworthy UFO sightings that included military and physical trace evidence cases and close encounters that
resulted in human injury and even death.
John addressed the fact that the Robertson Panel in January 1953 stacked the deck against any chance of UFO disclosure to
the general public. In the event a UFO sighting could not be prosaically explained then it was chalked up to “insufficient evi-
dence.” Of course all investigations are based on the technology available at the time and as a result, how efficiently a conclu-
sion can be reached.
The Robertson Panel help set the course for the official government line of denying everything or indicating there is insuffi-
cient evidence to reach a proper conclusion.
Early UFO Sighting Cases:
Ft. Hood, TX 1949 & 1952 – Torpedo and tear dropped shaped orbs seen floating. Apr 1952 – 115,000 troops witness
unidentified objects – military tried to duplicate sighting with explosives but failed
Ellsworth AFB 1953 – Object spotted at 16,000 ft. Air Force scrambles two F84 jets for intercept. Ground and air radar
along with credible visual observation confirmed sighting.
Kelly-Hopkinsville, KY encounter – Family witnesses strange beings roaming around their farm house. Investigated by
Capt. Robert Hertell from Ft. Campbell. Military took this case seriously. Hertell coincidentally ended up working with
John himself at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis.
Kiowa, CO 1978 – 9 discs land in a pasture. Cattle panics. Witnesses are paralyzed. Humanoids seen along with Bigfoot
sightings.
UFO Sightings with Witness Injuries or Abductions:
Stefan Michalak/Falcon Lake UFO Case May 1967 – Two objects seen in the sky. One lands 150 ft away from Stefan on a
rock. Voices heard in craft. Michalak calls out a greeting in six different languages. No response. Object takes off and
gas blasts out of venting system and leaves physical trace grid like burns on Stefan’s chest area. Becomes very ill and
loses 20 pounds.
Eddie Doyle Webb Case 1973 – Driving truck near Cape Girardeau, MO and had a bright light blind him. Plastic on his
glass’s frame even bubbled. Affected his vision which never fully recovered.
Carl Higdon Oct 25, 1974 event – Higdon was out deer hunting in WY when he spotted a deer and took a shot. His bullet
only traveled around 50 ft and suddenly dropped to the ground. Encountered a strange looking being named Ausso
outside a small craft who aimed a device which paralyzed him. Higdon ended up inside the object. Though the craft
only appeared to be about 7 ft in diameter it appeared huge inside. Higdon claims to have flown 163,000 light years
to another planet. He was then given a physical exam but was “rejected” (possibly due to his vasectomy).
Colares, Brazil UFO Surge 1977-2003 – Swarm of orbs affected many residents.
54 people burned
36 people with prolonged illnesses
18 people abducted
14 people found unconscious
10 people died
Cash-Landrum Incident Dec 1980 – Betty Cash, Vicki Landrum and her grandson, Colby, were driving towards home in
Huffman, TX. Diamond shaped object flies over their car. All three exit car but Vicki and Colby dive back into car. Betty
remains outside looking at object for around 10-12 minutes. Object is shooting flames from bottom of craft. Eventu-
ally see around 20 twin rotor helicopters surrounding and possibly escorting object. All three later on become very ill
with symptoms of radiation poisoning. Betty becomes most ill and has large blisters and skin lesions. Attempt to sue
the military for medical costs but case is dismissed due to military denial of involvement.
John went on to say that UFOs are known to be seen changing colors and shapes as their speed increases. People have ex-
perienced time dilation in which the event observed and the passage of time don’t correlate in what the witness feels should
have been an appropriate passage of time. Some of the best physical trace evidence left by an unexplained object is damage
to plant life or soil.
John said that he also feels that confidential cases are unverified anecdotal evidence. Unless a person agrees to have their
name used, the case should not be publicized.

Why The UFO Mystery Is Not Solved by Barry Roth
www.comufon.org
There were 10 reports of Unconventional Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) made to CoMUFON during January 2015.
There were 7 reports made during the same month last year (January 2014) and 9 reports last month (December
2014). MUFON International received a total 721 sighting reports from around the world during January 2015.
575 of those sightings were made in the USA and California once again had the highest state total with 90 sighting
reports. Thanks to Ken St. John and the Colorado MUFON website’s stats tab for those numbers!!
01-05-2015 1630hrs (4:30pm) Brighton
The reporting party (RP) relates that he was driving from Thornton to Commerce
City on 120th Avenue when he observed 4 bright white pulsating lights hovering
in the sky in the form of an arc. He states the lights remained in the same part of
the sky for about 15 minutes before the bottom one of the four began to slowing
descend toward the horizon as if it might be landing. Due to safe driving con-
cerns, the RP was unable to determine a possible landing site. A few minutes
later, the highest of the remaining three followed the example of the first and
slowly descended out of sight. After that, the other two followed suit and the RP
adds that they all appeared to land or descend into the same area. The RP also
detected another of these unidentified/unconventional aerial phenomena (UAP)
off to his right and much higher than the others that did not move. The RP says
he first thought he was looking at conventional aircraft but after observing the
UAP for a period of time, dismissed that assessment.
01-05-2015 1843hrs (6:43pm) Arvada
The RP relates that he was cooking dinner and his father (WITN) had stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. While
doing so, the WITN observed a turquoise colored light in the sky and called to the RP to take a look. The RP went
outside and was able to not only to see the turquoise UAP that the WITN has detected but also spotted another
that he describes as “star- like and glistening like a diamond.” The RP relates that the highlight of the sighting oc-
curred when the turquoise UAP that had been flying across the sky abruptly stopped, hovered and then flew back
in the direction from which it had come. The RP tried to take a photograph but determined that the UAP was too far
away even for his camera’s zoom. He estimates the UAP was near Golden at the time and states that both he and
WITN are certain these were not stars or comets.
01-06-2015 2229hrs (10:29pm) unknown location
The RP provided the following: “Look at the moon now 10:23pm 01/05/2015. Under the moon to the left is the
planet Jupiter. Four of its moons are in perfect alignment three on top and one at the bottom. WOW! A once in a
lift time event. Something is going to happen. Don't know what? Good or bad but something will happen! Look
up.”
01-09-2015 0559hrs (5:59am) unknown location
The RP explains that he was having his morning coffee and looking at the moon and sky to the west of his location
when he became aware of what he described as “a strange pulsing red/green/white star-like orb” UAP. He got
his binoculars for a closer inspection and immediately formed an opinion that what he was looking at was NOT
natural. The RP says he first thought he was seeing a conventional aircraft but realized that the UAP was station-
ary (and would remain so for the remainder of the sighting). The RP describes the lights as not only pulsing but
growing larger and then smaller again as they pulsed. The RP continued to observe the UAP until the rising Sun
caused him to lose sight of it.

01-15-2015 1620hrs (4:20pm) Littleton
The RP relates that he was a passenger in an automobile, which was traveling southbound in the Ken Caryl area
near C470East when he happened to look toward the west and observed what he describes as “a huge light like
the Sun with blindingly white light.” However, the RP states that the Sun was actually setting to the south of the
UAP he was observing. He describes the UAP as large and round as it hovered above what appeared to be a small
white cloud. The RP says that there was one other cloud nearby so the sky was mostly clear during the sighting.
01-15-2015 1745hrs (5:45pm) Canon City
The RP explains that he was at home when his sister called him on the telephone and instructed him to go outside
and look up because she was seeing strange lights in the sky. The RP proceeded outside and was scanning the sky
when his sister arrived and pointed out to him what she was seeing. He then observed two lights hovering in the
sky above the mountains. The RP went back inside to get his camera but, by the time he returned, the UAP had
disappeared.
01-27-2015 1830hrs (6:30pm) Golden
The RP relates that he was driving westbound on Colfax Avenue at about Speer Boulevard when he noticed what
he described as “a very bright yellowish light to the west over Green Mountain”, which would dim, grow brighter
and then dim again and would sometimes change colors from yellow to reddish to green. As the RP continued to
drive westbound and observe the UAP, he noticed a helicopter flying toward the UAP and then flying around the
UAP as if attempting to determine what the UAP was. The RP drove to the park located behind the Dino’s Restau-
rant and Walgreens at Kipling Street and West Colfax Avenue and continued to watch the UAP hover and then
move north towards Golden for about ten minutes. The UAP continued to move northwest towards the big “M” on
the mountain near the Colorado School of Mines where it slowly descended to a hover directly above one of the
mountains and then disappeared right at 1900hrs (7:00pm).
01-29-2015 0512hrs (5:12am) Lakewood
The RP related that it was still dark and he was driving when he observed a shiny UAP that had a light on each end
and one on the bottom. He says that each light blinked in a different pattern and they seemed to change as the
direction of the UAP changed. When first observed, the UAP was hovering off the RP’s right and then flew over the
RP’s vehicle to his left before soaring behind his vehicle and disappearing.
01-29-2015 1603hrs (4:03pm) Aurora
The only narrative provided with this report was “a light that disappeared”. One video accompanied this report.

01-30-2015 2057hrs (8:57pm) Redrocks Amphitheater
The RP qualifies his observational abilities by stating that he served as a helicopter crewman in the U.S. Navy for 6
years and has logged over 900 hours of flight time, mostly at sea and, during which, he was constantly required to
accurately identify lights of all sorts. He adds that he was also qualified as an enlisted warfare specialist, which
required him to be able to correctly identify conventional aircraft at night and understand how conventional air-
craft move through the air. The RP relates that he and four friends, including
one (WITN) who served in the same aviation unit as the RP were all at Red Rocks
for a concert. While the act was performing onstage, the RP relates that he and
the WITN had the attention captured by something hovering above them in the
sky. The RP describes this UAP as having 8 steadily glowing lights in a circle.
Of these, 6 were green and the other two were red. The RP stipulates to not be-
ing able to see any solid craft but believing the lights were all attached to one
single craft by the way they moved in unison. When the UAP moved, the RP no-
ticed that the 2 red glowing lights were always located at the UAP’s “6 o’clock” or
aft position. The RP says that would hover for several moments in one location
and then move to another and hover again, almost as if it was surveying the
event from different perspectives. The RP describes the UAP’s movements as
“able to change direction, speed and altitude as smoothly as moving the cursor
across a computer screen.” He adds that the UAP did not appear to be affected
by the wind and there was no observable pitch, roll or yaw when the UAP changed directions as there would be
with a conventional aircraft. The RP estimates the UAP’s altitude at 1000 to 1,500 feet and compares its size to
that of P3 Orion. (Naval aircraft!) The RP concludes by saying that he initially thought this UAP might be a drone
but it seemed to him to be much larger than a drone and was also much faster. The RP showed his videos to a
friend who flies drones and his friend concurs that the UAPs video recorded by the RP appear to move to fast to be
drones. Two photographs and three videos accompanied this report.
01/01/2015 1950hrs (7:50pm) Denver
My boyfriend and I were leaving to go to dinner when we both saw something strange in the sky just above my
neighborhood in university hills. It looked like something burning and on fire, which alarmed us at first. We could
tell it wasn't a plane or anything with a constant beam of light because there was a center light that was bright and
the flickering fire-like light was moving up from the lower ball of light, just as flames move up and "lick" the air. The
object wasn't flying as high up as commercial airplanes fly, but more around the height a helicopter would hover. It
was on a constant path moving from west to east at a constant speed when it stopped suddenly for about a min-
ute; it just hovered there and kept burning. Then it started moving again at a slower speed moving south, also ap-
pearing to gain height in altitude as well. We could see the light grow faint but could no longer see the burning. At
this point we were viewing the object through the trees and watched it change course again heading slightly diago-
nal towards south east. Just as fast as it had appeared out of nowhere, it began moving up in altitude very quickly
until it was just a faint light, almost as if it was a star, despite the snow that was falling and the fact that no stars
were visible. I took a video that captures the main chunk of the sighting but my phone died just after it began gain-
ing altitude and disappeared. The fact the object was burning was alarming enough, but the intelligent speed and
direction changes were enough to convince us this was something foreign and extraterrestrial.

Walked outside to take trash out. Noticed object right away, it was just getting dark. To the south-east, saw what
looked like a hot air balloon shape, a blue circle at the bottom and the top glowing fierce, shaped like a hot air bal-
loon, but was bright flaming red with yellow, orange. I called my boyfriend out and ran in to get my phone, snapped
a photo (did not come out very good). Ran back in to grab better camera. I turned camera on and the object just
went black, just a black floating ball. Then it was gone! I came in and painted a
picture of what it looked like. It was too high to be a balloon, and it was almost
dark.
01/16/2015 0100hrs (1:00am) Westminster
I was driven to my mother in law's house with my girlfriend from downtown... We
were driven west on 104th, when we see 3 circle white lights going northwest. It
was about 1000 feet in the air... It was going fast. When I told my girlfriend to
look, there were colorful lights (white, yellow, blue and red) in the back of it. We
both said that was not any shooting star. When we were looking at it, the lights
just turn off.
01/18/2015 0130hrs (1:30am) Wheat Ridge
I saw a light in the southern sky over Denver. I took some video with my phone as
well as some pictures. The light was moving like someone was playing with a laser pointer with a cat. I had trouble
keeping my camera trained on it. I watched the light for about five mins before I got my phone. I took about fifteen
minutes of video and some all shots. I went inside for about twenty minutes. Then went back outside to see if it
was still there, and it was. It moved slowly at times and very fast at times. It changed directions faster than any-
thing I have ever seen. When I examined the pictures. I was able to zoom in and see the different shapes the craft
took. I would like some help examining what I have.
01/18/2015 0615hrs (6:15am) Lyons
A round, bright white, low flying object with a blurred edge hovers over a nearby mountain, darts around and then
out of sight. At 6:15a.m., I looked out from my bedroom window, at the mountain, approximately 1/2 mile from my
home. There looked to be a large "search-light" against the mountain. I thought, "That is the biggest searchlight, I've
ever seen." It appeared to be a large round white light, approximately the size of three houses placed together. It
darted against the mountain from left to right. I thought it was strange that someone was searching for something
in an erratic fashion. It then lifted above the mountain line and appeared as a bright and round with a blurred
edge, as it was while in front of the mountain. Since there were no clouds in the sky, it occurred to me that it was
not reflecting off of clouds, if in fact it was a large spotlight. Then, it darted to the west a short distance, paused for
a moment and abruptly took off going east in the sky. Then, it was gone.

Gray/white triangular aircraft w/3 cone-shaped rockets on the bottom. They were
blue, orange, and red. As I was staring out my window, there was a strange or-
ange light coming towards me. It looked somewhat neon, but softer. The light was
vibrating rapidly at frequencies I've never seen in any man-made aircraft. As it
approached, I could see 3 different colored rockets attached on the bottom and a
gray/white roof on top. The top was sort of triangular and the bottom had 3 rock-
ets that were cone-shaped with flames of light coming off of them. One of the
rockets flames was orange/yellowish, one was blue, and one was red. It seemed
like it was vibrating instead of being propelled by an engine. It flew about 20
feet above my window and very close to the roof of my 10-story building. It hap-
pened very fast. The vibration of the aircraft was so fast that taking a picture
would most likely have resulted in an image of an extremely blurry light. Although
it was vibrating so fast, it seemed like it had slowed down to observe the area for
some reason. This was in Capitol Hill.
01/22/2015 1935hrs (7:35pm) Englewood
What I saw tonight (Jan 22) was extremely similar to what the woman who filed a report on January 11th wrote
about. I was stepping outside for a smoke when I saw it. A big blue ball with and an orange and yellow aura around
it was glowing really bright. I thought it was a shooting star or something at first, but it seemed bigger than the typi-
cal meteor I've seen before. It was only visible for a few seconds and was moving really fast. It was north from
where I was and moving westbound.
Report of Sightings made to CoMUFON during February 2015
There were 7 reports of Unidentified/Unconventional Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) made to CoMUFON during Febru-
ary 2015. There were 6 reports made during the same month last year (February 2014) and 10 reports last month
(January 2015). MUFON International received a total 607 sighting reports from around the world during January
2015. 478 of those sightings were made in the USA and California ONCE AGAIN had the highest state total with
84, which just confirms some suspicions that a lot of those folks are out of this world! Thanks to Ken St. John and
the Colorado MUFON website’s stats tab for those numbers!
02/05/2015 0930hrs (9:30am) Hotchkiss, CO
It was there at the time of the picture and then gone by the time I looked up. Took
2 pictures of the mountains and looked at the picture a few minutes later and
saw a strange dark grey circular object I'm the picture. The first picture is was
lower and then the second one was higher up. Looked back up at the sky and it
was gone.
02/05/2015 1930hrs (7:30pm) Loveland
There were 3 bright lights not moving out east of town. We started driving to-
wards them. The first one stayed in bright and in place while the others dimmed
and moved towards the south then stopped. Then a fourth bright light appeared
next to the first one. It dimmed and moved away towards the south and stopped
near the other two. We stopped the car and just watched. Out of nowhere a fifth
bright light appeared next to the first one and again it dimmed and moved to the south towards the others. Then
the first bright light died dimmed out and they all disappeared.
02/07/2015 1900hrs (7:00pm) Lamar
Almost nightly we see this light. It is very big in comparison to even close neighboring yard lights. The light is very
bright and changes colors from green to amber. We watched 4 airplanes fly over our heads and surround the light.
The light traveled up and to the right for a few minutes in a bouncing motion. Then it slowly descended to the other
side of the small hill behind our home. We have a new airport 1 mile from our home and frequently see Army
planes and Blackhawk choppers flying overhead. The aircrafts that came from the airport surrounded the light and
just stayed over it. They are still there though the light descended out of sight 10 minutes ago.
02/08/2015 1700hrs (5:00pm) Montrose
White Orb, only noticed due to low flying Cessna type plane going same direction. Towards east moving slowly to
ENE, clear sky, looked like a white donut but without center poked out, then to a spherical shape watched for an
hour till faded away, looked more rectangular towards the end. We used binos and a 9x rifle scope to view, the pic-
tures and video from cell phone just show the white shape. When first noticed looked as though "playing" doing
flips and such, then settled down. Color: white then orangish (believe due to sun setting).

Nine orange fireballs drifted from the south to the north. These objects gained elevation and eventually disap-
peared. Before they disappeared, I filmed 4 of them making a formation (best described as the inner part of the
peace sign). These fireballs were silent (I did not hear anything) and organized.

watched it slowly move mid tree line, and then disappeared from sight.

02-07-2015 2246hrs (10:46pm) Denver
The reporting party (RP) relates that he was sitting in his back yard observing the skies and preparing to take a
photo of the full moon. He describes the conditions as clear as he observed the moon through his cell phone’s
camera. The RP states that, although invisible to his unaided eye, when he looked through his view finder, he de-
tected what he described as “an enormous bright ball” very near the moon. The RP continued to observe as this
unidentified/unconventional aerial phenomenon (UAP) remained unmoved for approximately 2 hours. Three pho-
tographs and one video accompanied this report.
02-11-2015 0000hrs (12:00am) unknown
The RP states that he was on his porch with a companion when both observed a red blinking orb moving across
the sky from northwest to southeast. As they watched, this UAP would suddenly stop and the red light changed to
white. When the UAP resumed its flight, they saw that the white light turned back to the red blinking light again.
The RP estimates the sighting lasted 20 minutes before the UAP disappeared.
02-12-2015 1830hrs (6:30pm) Fort Collins
The RP and her husband (WITN) were driving to the Miramont Health Club when she noticed 5 orange orbs in the
southwest sky. The RP describes their location as near Harmony Road and Oakridge Drive where she pulled over
so that they could exit their motor vehicle and get a better look at the UAP. She says that three of the UAP were
flying in triangle formation with two more following along behind. The RP states that the UAP were at a low eleva-
tion unlike commercial aircraft but they could hear no sound emanating from it. As they continued to observe, the
5 UAP ascended as they glided by the RP and WITN and then disappeared into a cloud bank over the northeast
part of the city. The RP explains that several vehicles arrived in the restaurant parking lot where they had stopped
and the various occupants exited their autos and everyone was talking about having seen the UAP. While they
were all standing in the parking lot talking, 2 more orbs flew by followed shortly thereafter by yet another, all
headed in the same direction.
02-14-2015 1950hrs (7:50pm) Lafayette
The RP relates that he was driving on Empire Road westbound when he observed a strange object with green
lights and one red/orange light flying slowly from his right to left (sounds like southbound!!) a short distance away.
The RP depicts the UAP’s altitude as low as it was close to the rooftops. He then noticed that the UAP changed
direction directly toward him. The RP states that it was headed right for his windshield but ascended at the last
second and flew over his vehicle and disappeared. He described this as “a very frightening situation”!
02-18-2015 1912hrs (7:12am) Greeley
The RP says that he had walked out his front door and was looking west towards Windsor when he observed a
large concentration of red/yellow lights flying northwest bound. He estimates their location as near Bittersweet
Park in Greeley. The RP describes their behavior as “they did not seem to follow a pattern but they were certainly
following the single very bright light at the head of the group.” He also explains that the individual UAP would dis-
appear, reappear suddenly above, below or around each other but they never passed the leader. The RP esti-
mates that this sighting lasted 6.5 minutes at the end of which time; all of the UAP simply vanished.
02-23-2015 2253hrs (10:53pm) Meeker
The RP explains that he had stepped outside to smoke a cigarette and was gazing toward the west when he per-
ceived a bright orb about 20 degrees above the horizon traveling northbound and leaving a vapor trail with another
UAP following closely behind the first. The RP’s first hunch was that it was a conventional aircraft but discarded
this assessment quickly as he studied flight path and speed and decided it was traveling too low and too fast to be
an airplane. He explains his rational for this by noting that it took the UAP about 8 to 10 seconds to travel from the
southern horizon to the northern horizon. The UAP then disappeared over the northern horizon and behind the
mountains.

02-14-2015 2100hrs (9:00pm) Lafayette
The RP states that he and his wife (WITN) were celebrating Valentine’s Day at a local restaurant when she went
outside to smoke a cigarette. Upon her return after about three minutes, she advised the RP of a “weird” light out-
side. The WITN described a light that changed from red to green and appeared to split into multiple lights before
rejoining and becoming one again. The WITN states that this occurred twice within about a 40 second span of
time before she perceived that it first approached and then distanced itself from her location. Upon hearing this,
the RP states that he went outside to see for himself and “it was easy to spot”! The RP describes what he saw as a
bright green orb hovering in the southern sky near a bright white star. Over a period of about 20 seconds, he
watched as it turned back and forth from red to green to red about every 5 seconds. The RP was then joined by a
restaurant employee (WITN#2) who had apparently been told of the appearance of the UAP and had also come out
to see it for himself. The RP states that this WITN also observed what he was seeing. About 29 seconds later, the
RP says that the UAP seem to descend over Denver until it stopped an estimated 200 feet above ground level.
Suddenly, the UAP accelerated westbound and ascended to fly over the mountains in less than 2 seconds before it
disappeared without making a sound.

I t made her uneasy when her mom argued with her boyfriend, particularly when
it was dark and PARTICULARLY when their arguments lasted late into the night as this one did. Being only 9
years old, she didn’t understand everything being said but she recognized their tones and they were harsh and
hard. How long had they been going at it? Two hours, three hours, longer? She just wanted to go back to the
mobile home that she and her mother shared and get in her bed and go to sleep. Their trailer was up the street
from her mother’s boyfriend’s one and there were few street lights in the trailer court where they lived. It was very
dark.
She realized that she had fallen asleep when her mother woke her to take her home. What time is it now, 3am??
As she and her mother walked hand in hand toward their trailer, the sleepy little girl tried to focus on putting one
foot in front of the other in the blackness. Suddenly, the entire area surrounding where they were walking lit up
brighter than day. Both her mom and she looked up and were awestruck with amazement at what they saw before
them. It was a large round craft hovering motionlessly in the sky and, from the little girl’s point of view, it took up
the entire sky and blocked all of the stars.
And she noticed that it was not far over their heads either. She thought it might be 30 feet up in the air but, what
left her dumbfounded was that the craft did not move, it just hung there directly above them. As she squinted into
the light, she could see that it was a light gray in color and she thought it looked perfectly round. Then there were
also lights. She could see rows of square orange and green lights that curved with the round shape of the craft.
She felt no fear whatsoever, just total captivation and curiosity. She knew she should have felt threatened but,
strangely, she did not. To the contrary, she found herself exhilarated as she thought to herself, “they really are
real” and then being filled with a wonderful overwhelming “almost familiar” happiness. It was glorious!
It was also the last thing the little girl remembered as she found herself starting up the steps to their trailer while
still holding her mother’s hand. She watched her feet and her mother’s feet on those well-known steps and then
looked at her small hand in her mother’s larger one and then looked up into her mother’s face. Her mother was
staring straight ahead as they topped the steps and walked up to their front door. She wondered to herself, “why
isn’t my mom saying anything, doesn’t she realize what just happened?”
When they came to the front door, her mother put her key into the lock but did not immediately turn the knob. It
was then that her mother looked down at her and asked, “Did we just see what we just saw” and the little girl
could only nod her head up and down in affirmation! Her mother sternly instructed the little girl not to tell anyone
about what they had seen and not to talk about it ever again. With that, they both went off to their beds. The little
girl wondered what had happened to them between the time that she and her mother first looked up to see the big
craft and the time she realized they were both climbing the stairs to their trailer.
She had no way of knowing how long she and her mom might have stood there staring up. She didn’t know if they
had lost time and had no memory of either the craft leaving or of walking the remaining distance home. All she
knew was that the next day, the local news was full of reports of people calling in UFO sightings in the same gen-
eral area where she lived.
Author’s note: This story is based on a delayed report made recently to Colorado MUFON. The actual event oc-
curred in the summer of 1989 and was reported recently by the “little girl” in the story.
