Let the Good Times Roll! Welcome to 2017! We have a full calendar of events for our members again this year. Check out this Beacon for this years schedule and save these dates! Please plan to attend as many as possible. You may have noticed that we’ve cut back on sending event mailers. So, it’s important to read your Beacon, watch for Al’s email updates and check the bulletin board for upcoming events & sign up sheets. We rely on your participation to help make our events fun, successful and keep our club Harbor Lite strong! On behalf of the members, I would like to thank Pat Scott for his tenure as Commodore. During Pat’s time as Commodore he was able to expand the clubs profile by promoting the club at the local marinas and downtown busi-nesses. His effort helped increase the level of participation of members in projects and events at the club. Pat will continue to be an active member of the Board at the club. Thanks so much Pat! I would also like to thank Sue Musurlian for her time on the Board of Directors. Sue’s input as a board member has been appreciated and will be missed. Sue has been a very active member / board member of the club, and will continue to help with events that she has managed in the past. Thank you Sue for all that you do for the club and fellow members. Welcome to Heidi Kappa, our newest Board Member at Harbor Lite. Heidi has been working as Assistant Treasurer of our club, and has now expanded her roll to include Board of Director’s. Congratulations Heidi! Thanks to Jan Petrakis and all of her elves for a wonderful Kid’s Christ-mas Party. Thanks to Bill and Julie Nelsen for a great Member’s Christmas Party and thanks to Riggs and Vicki Jessen for a rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party. We continue to let the good times roll here at Harbor Lite! Finally, I hope you can join me and the Board of Directors for the Installa-tion of Officers Dinner Dance on February 4. YAK a Launcher ™ fund-raiser updateThank you to everyone who bought a square on the raffle. During the January 1st Packer game, we chose three winners: First prize of $250 went to Roger Keeran. Second and Third prizes of $125 each went to Dale and Judy Berthlein and Jim Martin. Congratulations! We are halfway to our goal of $1,050 to purchase the Yak a Launcher™. Next, we’re organizing a cake/pie walk in March. More details to come. Hopefully, we will raise the rest of the money before the end of May, 2017 so we can have the launcher ready for our Harboritavilles. Thanks to all who participated! – Susan Maxwell
