    at SUNY in June 2009 with a state-wide tour of SUNYs 64 campuses,

    which became the first phase of a sys-temwide strategic planning process.This plan, called The Power ofSUNY, was launched in April 2010,with the central goal of harnessingSUNYs potential to drive economicrevitalization and create a better fu-ture for every community across NewYork.

    A hot and cold luncheon buffet willbe available from 12 noon until 1:00

    p.m. The program commences at12:30 p.m. The cost is $20. Pleasemake reservations at least 2 days inadvance.

    Ms. Groft will discuss the impact ofthe arts in our region. The eveningbegins at 5:00 p.m. with cocktails,followed by the speaker at 6 p.m.,then dinner and conversation. $30 perperson. University Club members areinvited and encouraged to attend. Res-ervations are required and must bemade through Torch Club SecretaryPat Fishbough via email [email protected].

    focus on The Albany Promise, forwhich she is a driving force and a co-convener. The Albany Promise is aregional, cross-sector partnershipwhere community, business, and civicleaders in Albany are coming togetherto support a shared cradle to careereducational vision and engaging incollective impact.
