The product to be marketed is Delicious SP/Tropical Delight, a product processed from sweet potato. It is a novel from the product from the market similar to dried mango in texture, color and appearance. It can be used as delicious and nutritious snack item, dessert or as an ingredient in salads, ice cream and other desert foods. B. Target Market for Delicious SP

The target market for Delicious SP is identified to be middle and upper income households. Delicious SP is a product with characteristics similar to dried mango and it is therefore viewed as a competitor of dried mango. Buyer of dried mango belong to middle and upper income households since price of the products is relatively high compared to other dried fruit products in the market. Delicious SP will therefore appeal to consumers belonging to the middle and upper class.C. Demand

The demand for delicious SP would generally subsists on the demand for snack items/dessert food items particularly dried fruits in Ormoc. Since date on the demand for snacks items/dried fruits in Ormoc is not available. It is conservatively estimated that middle and upper income household consume an average of one pack of dried fruit per month.D. Supply

Because Delicious SP is new product, there is no existing commercial producer of the product in Ormoc at present. Supply of Delicious SP is therefore assumed to be to be zero in this study.

E. Prices

Since Delicious SP is similar to dried mango in texture, color and appearance it can be viewed as a competitor of dried mango and dried fruit products offered in the market. Delicious SP will be sold at P7.75 per 100gram pack
