It carries outcontrol records for Axis (VAPIX) and Panasonic IP cameras inkeeping with the ONVIF standard. Connecting to surveillance cameras without a computer

The monitor is ideal for displaying your surveillance cameras ef-ficiently. Up to 16 IP cameras can be connected directly to themonitor by means of a LAN cable. This means that the monitorcan be operated without a PC. It can also be mounted on wallsor ceilings thanks to a VESA attachment. Not only does this ne-gate the need for having to install a computer, but it also sim-plifies the cable routing. Only a power supply and a networkconnection are needed. High Performance Decoding Technology

The monitor comes equipped with decoding technology to en-sure that images are displayed with no delay and are true to theoriginal source data. This eliminates the need for an additionaldecoder.

Data protection and viewing of camera images

Sometimes live video is required, but storage of images is notallowed. But how can one ensure that no images are recorded?The EIZO IP decoding monitors allow only for the live display ofvideos. Operators have no way of accessing or exporting videostreams. Possible scenarios involve hospitals, prisons, publicspaces, checkout counters, front desks and applications for theprotection of people.

Edge recording and live video

Where a decentralized recording solution is used (such as edgerecording with cloud archiving) live displaying is a challenge.Either software is needed, or streams need to be fetched from thecloud, generating additional traffic on your internet connection(2). With the EIZO IP monitor, it is possible to directly view livevideo from the cameras (1), completely separated from yourrecording solution.

EIZO IP decoding monitors display the videos directly and live. This savesbandwidth and is easy to integrate, thereby decreasing costs.

VMS-independent fallback solution

VMS forms the basis for reliable video playback in modern VSSsolutions. Even though the platform is protected from foreseea-ble events thanks to server redundancy, the VMS solution – esta-blishing a connection to the operators via a client – should beseen as a critical point. If this system comes under attack or isdisabled, the IP decoding monitor, which is independent of theVMS, can provide a redundant solution. To achieve this, it is sim-ply connected directly to the surveillance cameras, the networkconnection of which is still operational.

Settings such as video layout and camera control are adjustablemanually using the included remote control or via the user-fri-endly web UI for flexible operation.

Web API and VMS integration

The monitor’s web API crea-tes a communication interfacewith the local video manage-ment system (VMS). This al-lows you to integrate IP deco-ding monitors with your exis-ting security platform or yourexisting video managementsystem (VMS). For example,a specific response from the

monitor can be set to occur automatically based on a pre-settime schedule or when a particular event takes place. The layoutcan be configured remotely, toggled and much more.

Visibility Optimizer for clear images

Equipped with the Visibility Optimizer, the user achieves clearimages thanks to the image enhancement technologies Low-LightCorrection and Outline Enhancer. The benefit: The image enhan-cement takes place in the monitor and surveillance cameras canbe accessed easily.

Low-Light Correction: Improved display of dark areas

Low-Light Correction automatically identifies dark and unclearareas of the image and optimises them. Dark areas are brighte-ned up to achieve a more realistic depth effect. The visibility ofsurveillance cameras in difficult lighting conditions is increased.Persons or objects can therefore no longer merge into the sha-dows.

Practical too: the day/night default settings. You can choosebetween the "Day" and "Night" default mode settings using theremote control. These are optimised to the respectively changinglight conditions.

Sharper images with Outline Enhancer

The Outline Enhancer technology developed by EIZO analyzesthe content display and automatically corrects blurry areas. Theimage is sharper, with less noise. Objects in the foreground aregiven a stronger focus for realistic depth sharpness.

Precise image rendering thanks to 10 bit conversion

The monitor converts 8 bit signals into 10 bit and selects theoptimal colour values from a 10 bit look-up table (LUT). Theeffect: You will experience a colour-proof image with a fineresolution. The optimised data is then converted into an 8-bitoutput signal. This leads to fluid colour tone gradations. This ishelpful in identifying dif cult to distinguish people and objects.

Optimise Settings for Cameras

Individually optimise Low-Light Correction and Outline Enhancersettings for up to 4 connected cameras in any layout. This ishelpful when multiple cameras are used in environments withdiffering ambient lighting conditions.

Large dimming range for changing light conditions

Suitable for day and night operation: Thanks to the wide dim-ming range from 3 cd/m2 to 300 cd/m2, the monitor is ideallysuited to changing light conditions. This means that the brightnessof the monitor can be optimally configured for all ambient ligh-ting and can be used without problems even in dark rooms.

Full HD screen with anti-glare coating

The monitor has a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixelsthat fills the entire screen. The monitor therefore has space toconveniently display even large quantities of information. Imagesfrom Full HD cameras are rendered true down to the slightestdetail, without annoying black bars. Reflected light is scatteredthanks to its anti-reflection coating. The benefit: Your eyes do notget tired as quickly.

Flicker-free images

The monitor is fitted with LED backlighting to control brightnessand prevent flickering. This places far less strain on the eyeswhen the screen is being observed for extended periods of time.

Overdrive to quickly change images

The Overdrive function accelerates the monitor’s switching time.The grey-grey switch takes just 8 ms on average. In the case ofrapidly changing images, considerably less annoying delays,ghosting, and blurring occur.
