Joseph Pryle Course:FdA Sports Coaching achieveing a First Class Honours Degree (Top up).Progression:Now studying on MPhil/PhD in Sports Coaching at UCLan.

James BrooksCourse: Progressed from the Level 3 Extended Diploma onto the FdA Sports Coaching.Progression: Played for the England Colleges team and represented his country in a 1-0 victory over Wales.

Course introductionThis course is all about Sports Coaching. It will provide you with the practical and theoretical skills to build a career in coaching at various levels in a wide range of sports.

Course contentYou will study:n The Coaching Process n FUNdamentals of Sports Coaching n Club and volunteer Developmentn Sports Event Managementn Personal and Vocational Development n Delivery of Sport and Physical Activity. n Sports Research n Coaching Multi-Sportsn Sport Development n Analysing and Improving Performance n Sports Talent ID

You will also undertake a Professional Work Placement.

DurationFull-time over two academic years.

How will I be assessed?Through practical coursework, competence test and some written assessments.

Course entry requirementsExtended Diploma/Diploma, PPP or MP profile or A Level grade C (80 UCAS points). Non-standard applications and mature students are considered on an individual basis in relation to practical knowledge and academic achievement.
