Within the framework of the 'Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Individual 2018' (Stimulus of Scientific Employement,
Individual Support – 2018 Call) programme promoted by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, the Instituto de
Ciências Sociais [Institute of Social Sciences] of the Universidade de Lisboa accepts candidates interested in applying
for research positions in the fields of social and cultural anthropology, political science, economics, human geography,
history, social psychology and sociology. Applicants should take into account the agenda of ICS Research Groups
available at https://www.ics.ulisboa.pt/grupos
Candidates should express their interest by 31st of January 2019 to [email protected] .
The following documents must be included:
A curriculum vitae;
A summary of the candidate's academic and scientific career, including the main activities and results of the last 5 years (max. 5000 characters);
A research plan for the next 6 years taking into account the requests of the FCT Call and the strategic programme of ICS and its Research Groups (max. 5000 characters);
A copy of two most relevant publications (in pdf);
A letter of motivation, describing the candidate's current research interests and how they fit with the strategic programme and activities of ICS Research Groups;
Two letters of recommendation by social scientists affiliated with foreign institutions;
Identification of the category for which the candidate is applying (junior research, assistant researcher, principal researcher, coordinating researcher)
Candidates will be informed about ICS decision by e-mail as late as 9th February 2019.
