13th Annual Gourmet AuctionThe Big Island Rendezvous and the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the 13th Annual Gourmet Auction. This year’s auction returns to Wedgewood Cove Golf Club on Friday, January 25, 2013 beginning with a Social Hour at 6:00PM with tasting stations opening at 6:30PM. The event features both silent and live auctions with the live auction commencing at 7:30PM. Proceeds from the event benefit the Big Island Rendezvous Education Days and local programs of the Chamber of Commerce.
Tasting stations featuring some of Freeborn County’s best cooks, serving their favorite food items, will be offered. Participants include Piggy Blues of Austin, Smokin’ Bros BBQ, Wedgewood Cove Golf Club, Grandma’s Gourment, Geneva Bar and Grill, Casa Zamora, Green Mill, Big Island Grille and Bar, Hy-Vee Food Store, and Digger’s Cozy Coffin Cafe. New this year is Erbert & Gerberts, Iron Skillet at Petro and Cold Stone, Prairie Winds Coffee and Paddling Que Crew.
Sample prime rib, enchiladas, brats, pork tenderloin, smoked ribs, and more!
Area merchants have generously donated to the silent auction, which has over 50 items including tickets to events along with passes to local and state attractions. There are also numerous gift baskets, gift cards and certificates.
Live auction items will feature food items by the participating cooks, a one week stay at a time share at Breezy Point, a weekend stay with golf privileges at Pinehurst Golf Club in North Carolina, and more. Over 25 items will be offered at auction.
Tickets are $20 per person or two tickets for $30. Tables of ten may be purchased for $150. Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce office in the Northbridge Mall. Reservations can be made by calling the Chamber office at 507-373-3938.
