Jesus Christ is Our Lord and SaviorWe are delighted that you joined us today for worship. God created mankind in his image. In its created state, everything that God made was “very good.” (Genesis 2:7-3:2) The world is stained by sin, and every person is a sinner. (Genesis 3; Romans 3:23) The wages (Romans 6:23) for sin is death. Because of sin, every person deserves the penalty of physical death and eternal judgment. (Romans 6:23) Because he loves us, God the Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to receive the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross. (John 3:16; Romans 8:1-11) Every person who turns to Christ in repentance and receives him asSavior and Lord will receive forgiveness for their sins and eternal lifein heaven with God. We Gather Around God’s Word in Our Singing & PreachingWe gather for worship each Sunday at 10:45 a.m. We seek to blend the best of both the ancient and modern expressions of Christian worship. We use a variety of instruments in our praise of God. The Word of God is central to our worship.

We Hope You Will Connect by Attending a Sunday School Classes for children and adults of all ages meet each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. We would be excited to have your family join us. For a listing ofclasses, please stop by our Connections Center.

We have Bibles for EveryoneWe want everyone to have their own copy of God’s Word. You are welcome to use the Bible in the pew rack. Bibles are available at no charge at the Connections Center.

We Provide Child Care We offer extended care for children from birth through age 4 in our preschool area and Children’s Worship for ages 3 (need to be potty trained) - grade 4.

The church office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed on Friday. You may call the church office any time at 254-865-2014. Please leave a voice mail message if no one answers.

Winter 2020 Sermon Series

From Our PastorChance Encounters

Some “chance” encounters, at home and abroad, provide amazing opportunities for the hopeful word of the gospel. Watching Jesus at a water well, we see best practices at work for the rescue of troubled souls. Beginning this morning we will break down this inspiring encounter to better understand it and to put these truths in motion in our lives.

This coming Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m. in the parlor we will begin an overview of the Bible. We will ask questions, talk about application, and discuss context. This will give us a better grasp of God’s Word and help us maximize our witness for Christ at home, as we travel, and in all of our activities.
