The look of real cloisonné is beautiful and delicate

and now you can create the same look on your

handmade cards with some gold embossing powder

and old magazine pages.

Step 2:

Step 5:

Mount the Basic Black cardstock on

top of the Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

Step 6:

Stamp one of the greetings from the

Time Well Spent set in the bottom

right corner of the Basic Black

cardstock with Versamark ink.

Step 7:

Sprinkle gold embossing powder

on the image. Shake off the

excess powder and return it to

the container.

Step 8:

Use your embossing gun to

heat and melt the image.

Step 9:

Choose some colorful pages

out of a magazine. I chose

these because they

coordinated with the colors of

cardstock that I was using.

Step 10:

Stamp the large flower image on the

magazine page with Versamark ink.

Step 11:

Stamp two of the smaller flower images

on the magazine page with Versamark

ink.

Step 12:

Stamp 5 large leaf images on a magazine

page with green designs with Versamark

ink.

Step 13:

Sprinkle gold embossing

powder on the magazine

pages. Shake off the

excess powder and

return it to the container.

Step 14:

Emboss the images using your

embossing gun. They’ll heat up very

quickly because the magazine paper is

very thin.

Step 15:

Cut the embossed images from the

magazine pages, cutting closely to the

outside edge of the images.

Step 16:

Mount the embossed

flower images on the Basic

Black cardstock.

Pg. 7

Step 17:

Mount the leaf images

next to the flower

images.
