Our second reading continues with Paul’s

first letter to Timothy. Paul is trying to

help his former traveling companion

adjust to his new role as bishop in

Ephesus. The advice Paul gives in today’s

reading is applicable for all of us-pray for

everyone. It is easy to ask God’s blessings

on those we like or hold the same opinions

we do. As we know, it is more difficult to

pray for those who do not share our

values. If we truly want to do God’s will

with our lives, then we need to think like

God. As Paul says, that will is that

everyone may be saved and know the

truth. Regardless of opinions, we are able

to help that come to fruition by praying for

es ma s difí cil rezar por aquellos que no

comparten nuestros valores. Si realmente

queremos hacer la voluntad de Dios con

nuestras vidas, entonces debemos pensar

como Dios. Como dice Pablo, esa es la

voluntad que todos puedan ser salvos y

saber la verdad.

There will be Communion Services Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the regular Mass times. No confessions Tuesday and Thursday this week.

This a 20 week course started September 10 at 7 pm every Tuesday evening at OLV.
