Grotto Update: The Finance Council has given approval of the plans for the new Grotto. The estimated cost is $10,000. After a very successful bake sale last weekend and a couple of generous donations, in addition to the funds collected last year, we have a good start with $4,040 already raised. The Grotto Planning Committee would like to thank all those involved in the bake sale last weekend and those who have donated thus far. If you would like to donate to the Grotto Fund, make checks payable to St. Rose of Lima Church and designate that the money is for the Grotto Fund. We will keep you posted as the project progresses.

shingles on over the top of the main roof shingles to repair the damage from last years storm. Finance council voted to move forward to repair the steeple shingles at an estimated cost of $12,000 and replace the main roof shingles with new steel shingles over the top at an estimated cost of $89,750. Insurance claim will cover $46,500 of this. We need to get this done as we cannot submit another storm damage claim on the roof until the existing claim is satisfied.

Community Garden: The parish community garden has been worked up and ready for planting. To help keep control of weed patches, we will only be preparing the area that will be used. Each row is spaced 5 feet apart. If you are interested in planting rows, please call the tri-parish office ASAP at 320-836-2143. Rows will be assigned on a first call basis.
