About Company


Termasteel-Ukraine Engineering and Construction Company has been working in

the construction market of Ukraine since 2006. The main activities of the Company

are:

• Production of metal construction, welded I-beams;

• Production of facade and roofing materials (profiled sheeting, metal tile, metal

siding, facade cartridges, roof and wall lozenges, seam roofing);

• Production of light steel thin-walled structures (LGSF);

• Development of projects using prefabricated buildings construction technology (PFB) and LGSF;

• PFB and LGSF building and construction technology.

Technology

Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF) technology is a modern frame technology of

building construction, actively developing in Ukraine.

The use of LGSF instead of designs based on reinforced concrete, brick or

traditional rolled steel, gives significant economic benefit by reducing loads, transport

and labour costs for installation, as well as reducing construction time without the use

of lifting equipment.

10 Benefits of LGSF Technology

Strength and durability. Steel profiles, unlike wood, are unaffected by

biological and humid-temperature processes. Service life of structures is

more than 100 years. They can easily withstand all the features of our

climate: and high temperature, precipitation and wind differences.

Quickly constructed. In a matter of days a

comfortable village with all residential and

administrative buildings can be erected, which, if

necessary, can be easily transported to a new

location. Buildings made from prefabricated parts

are lightweight, allowing in most cases to renounce

the use of lifting mechanisms. The use of

prefabricated houses after effects of natural and

man-made disasters are eliminated, allows quick

restoration of residential areas.

Low cost

Material cost is much lower compared

to the traditional: brick, bearing-wall

houses, log cabins, etc. Weight per

square meter of the finished building

is 30% less than of a wood one, and

many times less of the weight of the

building made of concrete or brick.

This advantage allows you to reduce

the cost of the foundations in 1.5 to 2

times, expand construction

possibilities on the "heavy" soils, use

LGSF for buildings reconstruction

(including severely damaged).

Minimal heat loss.

High thermal insulation properties of the building are provided by

the fact that, unlike traditional buildings made of brick or wood, the

entire thickness of the wall can be filled with a highly efficient

insulation, which can significantly reduce the cost of buildings'

heating. Only 20 cm thick LGSF based wall, by thermal

conductivity is equal to 1.5 meters thick masonry.

Seismic resistance and fire safety. Prefabricated houses, having LGSF as a load bearer,

are able to withstand seismic loads up to 9 points by the Richter scale.

A mineral fibre material used as a heat insulation may be applied at sufficiently high

temperature range (–60° to +400°C). Structures, insulated with such materials, do not

accumulate moisture, are protected from aggressive acid environments, high temperatures

and fire, and are not affected by rodents and microorganisms.

Environmentally friendly. Rock wool or ecowool are used for thermal

insulation in buildings design. These materials are environmentally

friendly and can be 100% recycled. Use of screw piles in place of the

foundation allows to avoid negative impacts on the environment.

No shrinkage. Buildings of LGSF do not shrink, in

comparison with building constructed using

traditional technologies (concrete, brick, wood),

allowing to start decoration work immediately after

the installation of the framework. Any building

decorations can be employed. Exterior decoration –

siding, profiled sheeting, cassettes, facade

lozenges, and more.

Reuse

LGSF building can be

dismantled,

transported and

reassembled

in a new place. This

advantage is heavily

used by mining

industry companies in

construction of shift

camps.

Extended architectural possibilities

Using LGSF, it is possible to overlap

sufficiently large intermediate spans between

supports. This allows architects to maximize

interior space and create unique designs. All

internal utility systems (water supply,

sewerage, electricity, heating, and

ventilation) are laid in the walls.

Designing

Profile bending equipment used by Termasteel-Ukraine Engineering and Construction Company, is adapted to work with Vertex BD software package – advanced software for LGSF framework buildings design. The software used by our Company, allows development of projects of residential, civil and industrial buildings at any level of detail, allowing to calculate prices in one day.

possible, steel framework design

process of the building and issue of

tasks for machines and bills of materials

ordering, minimizing " human factor"

design errors possibility.

Design is performed using BIM-

technologies: designer works with a

three-dimensional (3D) model of building

framework.

Integrated visualization module

eliminates the need to use design

programs at development stage of

project working versions. It allows you to

create architectural models of buildings,

including the elements of decoration and

interior design, customize colors and

textures and simulate landscaping of the

surrounding area, etc.

Another powerful feature of Vertex BD is automatic creation of job files for profile

bending machines, which accelerates the process of LGSF design and manufacture,

completely eliminating errors in the production of metal profiles.

The use of specialized software for LGSF design can also significantly reduce the

time and improve the accuracy and quality of structures installation. All building

elements are delivered to the construction site with an individual marking, assigned

by the software. Next, pre-assembly of elements is done using separate drawings –

wall panels and floors, frameworks, etc., of which in the same way building frame is

assembled. In general, building installation according to the drawings issued by

Vertex BD can be compared to assembling a tinker toy and does not require

installers' high engineering qualification.

The software package also helps to release bills of materials, simplified estimates,

visualizations and presentations. For submission of draft versions of the future

building to the customer, project can be converted to a 3D PDF format, available for

reading on virtually any computer or with the use of free Vertex Viewer software. In

such file the customer can see either a three-dimensional architectural model or a

steel frame model, view separately any floor, room, wall panel, or even one profile

from any angle.

Production of LGSF

For the production of LGSF our Company uses high-tech equipment with numerical

control by Royal Systems LLC, USA based company. The equipment complex

consists of the machine for bended light gauge profile production with automatic

decoiler and automated assembly table for assembling panels, frameworks, and

floors.

Machine for production of U- and C-shaped profiles is designed to produce metal

frame elements of prefabricated buildings at a rate of 18.3 m/min. Equipment

manufacturing capabilities allow to cover the entire range of profiles that are used in

the construction of load-bearing structures of buildings of up to 4 floors.

Allows producing profiles of 92 to 305 mm in width and 0.88 to 2 mm in thickness.

During profile rolling, all necessary mounting holes are perforated with recesses for

mounting, holes for utility networks laying. Also, with the use of a special printer,

each element of the structure is marked, which allows accelerating the process of

assembly and installation, and also reduces the possibility of errors during assembly.

Installation of LGSF

LGSF buildings construction technology is implemented in several stages:

1. Site preparation:

At this stage, it is necessary to prepare the site for the foundation. The site shall be

cleared, levelled, and foundation shall be constructed in accordance with the project.

Foundations can vary: strip, combined piled-raft foundation, on screw piles, made of

blocks, as a single monolithic slab, and others.

2. Framework installation.

This step can be compared to assembling of a tinker toy. Construction team

perform "integration" assembly of cut and marked elements, figuratively "on the

ground". Using a drill and screwdriver, 3 to 4 persons screw elements together using

self-drilling screws, mark openings for windows and doors. Then the framework is

moved to the mounting site and secured in the design position.

3. Installing floors and walling.

Both cold rolled profiles, assembled in panels, as well as individual beams, and

reinforced metal sheeting with a screed, and others, can be used as the floors.

4. Construction of internal utility networks.

Utility networks are usually laid in the wall cavities and in indoor cable ducts.

5. Thermal insulation of walls, installation of

windscreens and waterproofing.

6. Roof Installation.

7. Panelling, installation of windows and doors.

8. Exterior decoration.

9. Interior decoration.

Installation of internal utility networks, electrical

wiring, grouting, painting, pasting, and other fine

finishing refers to the interior decoration of the

house.

10. The final stage and the installation of

non-standard pre-cast components.

At the last stage of construction of a frame

house, non-standard precast components shall be

installed on the roof, ceil the roof and install gutters.

Terms of installation and construction of a "turnkey" cottage of medium

difficulty design range from 2 to 3 months.
