CAUTIONS & DISCLAIMERS

1. Read all the Owners Manual / Installation Instruction Material prior to attempting assembly and installation.

2. The Cruiser Ramp System was designed for

full size pick-ups only. Fast Master Product’s, Inc. is not responsible for any damage created from the attempt to install the Cruiser Ramp system into a pick-up bed that the system was not designed for.

3. Release the activation switch once the

wheels make contact with the wheel stops. Continued activation may result in

damage to the electric winch or cable.

4. NEVER crawl under the systems ramps while

the motorcycle and platform are being loaded or are situated on the ramps.

5. Keep the remote switch cable away from the

platform wheel tracks while loading or unloading the motorcycle.

The switch cable could be damaged if the wheels roll over it.

6. Activate the rear platform wheel locks, prior

to loading the motorcycle.

7. Ride or push the motorcycle front tire into the locking wheel chock slowly.

8. Axle tie-down straps must be secure prior to

loading the motorcycle. Loading without the straps may

cause the motorcycle’s front tire to back out of the wheel chock while climbing the ramps causing or damage to the system and motorcycle.

9. Make sure that the bed track, bridge, and

outside ramps, and middle ramp are lined up prior to system use. There is an alignment rod supplied for this purpose.

10. Always watch the system during the loading

process. If any misalignment occurs, stop the loading process and correct the problem prior to continuing.

11. DO NOT over- tighten the bolts into the rivet nut inserts.

Over tightening may cause the inserts to spin.

12. DO NOT raise the center tire ramp as the

motorcycle is being loaded in order to achieve a greater clearance between the bottom of the motorcycle and pick-up bed or tailgate. If you have a lowered motorcycle or a raised pick-up bed height, let us know, and we can easily instruct you in how to gain the needed clearance when loading the motorcycle into the pick-up bed.

13. NEVER slide your hand down or let the

winch cable slide through your hands while the winch is running.

There may be sharp burs on the cable that may cause a severe cut.

14. Inspect the winch cable frequently, and

replace when the cable shows signs of wear. 15. The motorcycle must be tied down into the

pick-up bed prior to moving the vehicle. The Cruiser Ramp system was not designed as a tie-down system.

16. Safety chains must be attached to the

platform base prior to moving the vehicle.

17. Modifications to the Cruiser Ramp system without written authorization from Fast Master Products, Inc. will remove Fast Master Products, Inc. from liability of injury or damage as well as void all warranties.

b. With some of the deeper tailgates, you may need to adjust the system so that the rear hinges of the bed track, with the tailgate closed, are about 3/8” from the inside face of the tailgate.

c. With the 8’ bed length where the tailgate is removed, move the system to the front of the bed so that the rear hinges are just inside the bed frame.

d. Set the wheeled platform onto the

bed frame. Move the platform forward to the wheel stops. You may lift the platform slightly in order to clear the spring bar assembly as you roll it forward. Make sure that the locking wheel chock on the platform clears the front of the pickup bed.

6. With the system located properly in the

pickup bed, locate the raised ribs on the bed floor. Find a rib on the right and left side of the winch under the winch tube weldment cross member.

7. Locate the center of the selected rib and mark the spot on top of the winch tube cross member as well as on the rear cross member.

8. Using a 5/16” drill bit, drill a pilot hole through the winch cross member, rear cross member, and into the pickup bed material as shown above.

9. Once the pilot holes are drilled, (if you have

a removable bed liner) remove the bed liner at this time.

10. If you do not have a removable bed liner,

move the system slightly in order to expose the holes on the bed floor.

The Rivnuts that are used are very low profile. There will only be about 1/32” sticking up above the pickup bed material. The Rivnuts are threaded in the center to accept a bolt.

12. Once the hole is enlarged, insert the supplied Rivnuts into each hole. They should be snug. If they only drop in part way, slightly tap them in.

13. With the Rivnut in the drilled hole, install the manual install tool to the Rivnut by screwing the tool into the insert.

14. Insert a ½” wrench to the upper hex head on the tool.

15. Insert a 9/16” wrench to the lower hex fitting on the tool.

16. While holding the 9/16” wrench in place and level, turn the ½” wrench clockwise to tighten the Rivnut to the pickup bed material. Once tight, while holding the 9/16” wrench in place, turn the ½” wrench counterclockwise to remove the tool. Repeat the procedure for all Rivnuts.

17. Clean out any metal shavings that may be in the pickup bed. Any shavings will rust when wet.

18. If a bed liner was removed, replace the liner

now. Line the 5/16” holes in the bed liner up with the Rivnut holes in the bed.

WIRING

Wiring may be achieved by setting a stationary battery into the pickup bed and attaching the winch wires (Red/Black) directly to the battery, or by wiring to the engine battery. If wiring to the engine battery, the following are some guidelines to follow.

1. Attach the Solenoid valve to the front driver

side corner of the pick-up bed as shown above. The valve has four color coded posts along the bottom of the valve assembly as shown above. Make sure that the color cables are attached to the correct stud.

Note: The small red wire must be connected to the red stud in order for the system to function.

2. Run the supplied black and red wire from the

pickup bed to the engine compartment. Most pickups have a hatch in the front of the pickup bed as shown right. If your truck does not have a hatch, you can drill a hole in the front lower corner of the bed large enough to feed the two wires through. If it has a hatch as shown below, you can drill a hole in the cover or notch the bottom to feed the wire through. Run enough wire into the engine compartment to reach the battery.

3. Once the Red and Black wires are run into the

engine compartment, connect the Red wire from the bed and attach to the vehicles battery.

Connect the RED wire from the solennoid to the positive (+) lead on the vehicles battery. Some vehicles such as Chevrolet use a side terminal battery, which cannot be connected to with a ring connector. Chevrolet and GMC have a battery terminal red box next to the engine, across from the battery as shown right.

4. Connect the BLACK wire to the negative

terminal on the battery or any grounding point.

5. Set the platform base onto the bed tracks and move it as far forward as possible until the platform contacts the spring catch bar and stops. Activate the winch and pull the cable off of the spool to a length of about the center of the platform.

6. Feed the cable end under the front of the

platform, and back up through the hole in the platform to the Quick-Link connector. Unscrew the nut on the Quick-Link and slide the eyelet on the cable end over the Quick-Link.

7. Re-tighten the Quick-Link nut.

8. With the cable attached to the platform,

activate the winch and pull the platform forward until the front casters contact the two vertical wheel stops on the bed tracks. Release the switch when the casters reach the stops. The winch will not stop automatically.

9. Install the Safety Chains to the front Winch Cross Member. There will be a chain ring on the right and left side of the winch. Open the Quick-Link and attach the chain to the ring. Close the Quick-Link.

LOADING THE MOTORCYCLE

WHEN LOADING OR UNLOADING, MAKE SURE

YOU ARE ON A LEVEL SOLID SURFACE.

1. With the system mounted into the pickup bed, lay the Bridge Sub-Assemblies over the tailgate. There is a driver and passenger side bridge. Pin the bridges to the bed tracks with the supplied 3/8” x 4” hinge pins.

2. Attach the two outside ramp channel’s to the bridges that were just installed over the tailgate. Attach with the supplied 3/8” x 4” hinge pins.

3. Attach the center motorcycle ramp to the tailgate. This center ramp has a roller shaft incorporated for the winch cable to roll over while loading or unloading. This roller keeps the cable from damaging the tailgate.
