Long-4-Speed GeometryEven though the True Grit is amazingly stable at speeds and in rough terrain, it still responds quickly to rider input and allows you to settle into an aerodynamic ride position. You don’t have to choose between stability or race worthiness, the Lauf True Grit gets you both! Key ingredients are low headtube, long toptube, slack head angle, short stem and short chainstays*.*For a fit comparison to other brands, toptube length should not be used. “Reach to handlebar” is a much more direct comparison between two bikes. Plenty of Room for Chunky TiresTrue Grit is designed for up to 45mm 700c tires. Nice, big and chunky tires for the roughest of gravel with plenty of room for the elements. Add studs and you’re still good to go!

3x Bottle MountsThree bottle mounts come in handy for a long day in the saddle. On top of that the top tube has mounts for a bento box for easy access to food or other smaller items for the long haul.

In-N-Out Cable RoutingWith In-N-Out Cabling, the rear derailleur cable and rear disc brake hose have entry points at the headtube, then they miraculously pop out at the optimal locations. No hassle and no annoying rattling inside the frame. Some might call it voodoo but we call it Lauf’ing Out Loud engineering.

Beer or GearThe Beer Or Gear front derailleur design opens up endless possibilities. Most True Grit riders are going to want the mechanical robustness and simplicity of 1x11 drivetrains. These riders will get a bottle opener where a front derailleur would otherwise be. However, there will be some road-biased True Grit riders that want to get the classically tight gear spacing of a road bike (while the gear range of a 1x11 and 2x11 is actually almost the same). These riders have the option of using SRAM eTap 2x11 drivetrains.*

2. A fast but comfortable fit. The Lauf Fit of the True Grit is optimized for “weekend warriors” and racers. It’s made for the optimum balance of aerodynamics and long-distance comfort. The short headtube enables an aerodynamic bike fit, while the generous headset spacers (35mm) give superb tuneability.

3. Your correct size is easy to find. The True Grit bikes have a wide setup window for the “Stack to Handlebar” (the most defining dimension for how “aggressive” a bike fit is). All True Grit bikes come with 35mm of headset spacers and a stem that can be flipped up/down for extra tuneability. Hence, there is a generous overlap between bike sizes so a rider that chooses a bike for his size according to the chart above should easily find his optimal setup.

3. Do you have out-of- the-ordinary preferences for bike fit? If you have any special needs for your bike fit, you can order a frame size with a custom stem length.

4. Zero-setback seatposts. Lauf True Grit bikes have a slack seat tube angle (72.5°) and are thus set up to be used with zero-setback seatposts.

Going anywhere? Take the backroads or hit the pavement for some quick miles and mix it all up while you’re at it. The Lauf Anywhere wants it all. You can even turn it into an adventure and load the bike and fork with bags and bottles.

Smoothie HandlebarThe Lauf Smoothie handlebar eats vibrations for breakfast. Utilising the same tough and flexible material we us in the springs on our forks. You’ll be isolated from the vibrations of the road and you’ll have a handlebar that’s strong as an ox.

JAF forkWe’re known for our leaf spring suspension forks but for this bike we chose to put on Just A Fork (JAF). It’s normally light at 395g with triple cage-mounts each side.

The Anywhere allows you to shake, stir and mix things up. Ride out on the pavement and wander of onto some fine gravel. Equipped with the Lauf Smoothie handblebar and chunky tires you’ll be riding all day long.
