Whether your creating an event for mothersand daughters, or just one for the girls, I’m excited about what’s in store for you as we delveinto the topic of modesty! But first I want to tellyou about myself and what you can expect fromyour Fashioned by Fatih event.

I’ve been a professional model for twenty-plusyears, and by now I’m a bona fide clothes fanatic. I’ve modeled for some of the biggestnames in the industry. Among them are Cover Girl, TommyHilfiger, Reebok, and hundreds, possibly thousands more. My experience as a model provides me with a unique fashion perspective, and now I want topass this perspective on to YOU.

During this like-no-other event, I’ll share with you the positive and negativeimpact the fashion industry has had on my life. I’ll use stories from my careertraveling the globe to give you new insight into the controversial subject matter of modesty. We will also hear what guys have to say about it, what I’velearned about it, and of course, what God’s Word teaches about it. My prayeris that you will grow closer to God as you deepen your relationship with Himby a fresh perspective on fashion and modesty as backed by His Word.

Modeling hasn’t just been my job; it’s been my life. Years ago, I set out to discover if fashion and faith could coexist in my heart without conflict. At a timewhen the most popular catchphrase from the advertising world is “Sex sells,”is there a way to wear the latest fashions without dishonoring God and His willfor my life? I needed to know, and now I want to share these discoveries at yourevent. Let me be your guide as we embark on this journey to uncover the truthabout modesty and what it means to be fashioned by FAITH!

Because of Calvary,

Baptist State Convention of NC“Rachel’s outward beauty is obvious but it’s her inward beautythat shines when she shares of her journey with the Lord. She inspired a roomful of a thousand teenagers at one of our events.God desires us to glorify Him in all we say and do and Rachel exemplifies that in her testimonyof the modeling world and the choices she made to honor Him first. She gives authority to this generation of girls to speak on modesty because she has lived the life they think they desire– the covers of many magazines! Amazing to me to see the difference one life being totally soldout for Christ can do!” —Merrie A. Johnson, Sr. Consultant, Student Ministry, Baptist StateConvention of NC

Liberty UniversityRachel was a guest lecturer for the Family and Consumer Sciences Department of Liberty University. She was able to reach the students through humor and her life experience as amodel. She challenged the students spiritually and intellectually and I was able see her humility and honesty about herself. She does not approach her accomplishments with superiority but rather as a gift to use for the youth. It is so important to have someone from the fashion world share important Christian principlesto the girls and young women about how you can be stylish and modest at the same time. I believe Rachel Carter is just the right person to encourage our young women to be godly Christian examples. —Professor Ruth Gomes, Liberty University
